so, i didn't get to bed until 5:15 this morning. thankfully, after i woke up to take a piss at 7:30, i was able to get back to sleep. i finally got up around 10:30 this morning. i was a little shocked i slept that late as it was raining the entire time.
i had to go out to the bank and the grocery store today. i love that Alexis remembers me at the bank. now, if only she was just being more than friendly... i had to pick up some pills at the pharmacy for mom and then get some of the stuff she forgot to put on the grocery list. i figured i might as well get it now so there might be less to get on Wednesday.
WWE WrestleMania Backlash was pretty good last night.
Axios was good last night.
The Nevers was the finale of Part 1 last night. after watching that, i now understand the first 5 episodes much better.
Mare of Easttown was fucking amazing last night. the show just keeps getting better and better.
Last Week Tonight was great as usual.
the season finale of City on a Hill was really good last night.
Ziwe was pretty fucking funny last night.
Batwoman was great last night.
the Yankees pissed away a lead yesterday and lost to Baltimore, 10-6. they start a series tonight at the Texas Rangers.
i did watch some of the NHL playoffs yesterday.
and i am ready for the NBA playoffs to begin.
i also did watch some of the MLS game yesterday between FC Cincinnati and Inter Miami. that new stadium looks amazing down in Cincinnati.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Monday Night Raw, The Voice and the season finale of Miz & Mrs.
i did listen to the latest episode of Notsam Wrestling today. you can find that by going here:
i woke up early again this morning. i wasn't pleased. it certainly felt like it was going to rain. it hasn't yet, though that doesn't mean shit for my arthritis. a few more hours of this and all that alcohol on my bar is going to be real fucking tempting.
the Yankees won again last night over Baltimore, 8-2. they go for the sweep this afternoon.
Saturday Night Live was good last night.
the horse i picked to win the Preakness finished second.
i did watch a good portion of the playoff game last night between the Capitals and Bruins. i love playoff hockey games that go to overtime.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, The Nevers, Mare of Eastttown, Last Week Tonight, Batwoman, the season finale of City on a Hill and Ziwe.
i'll be watching WWE WrestleMania Backlash on Peacock for most of the evening.
i'm sure i will watch more of the NHL playoffs today while flipping between soccer, baseball and maybe some basketball. it's the last day of the regular season in the NBA.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

it is currently raining here and is going to do so all day long. not exactly the weather i hoped for on this day. but, as long as it doesn't flood, which is possible, i'll get by on some ice and my massage chair.
the New York Rangers actually gave a shit yesterday and defeated Boston, 5-4. i have a sneaky feeling that is going to be the coach's last game with the team. if so, at least he goes out a winner.
the Yankees got dominated for most of the game yesterday, but found a way to defeat the Nationals 4-3 in 11 innings. hopefully they will win the series today.
MLW was pretty good yesterday.
Saturday Night Live was much better than i was expecting last night.
ROH was a rerun last night. i'm not sure why they ran the same episode as last week.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, The Nevers, Mare of Easttown, Last Week Tonight, City on a Hill, Ziwe and Batwoman.
so, i did get up in time to watch Manchester United this morning. as usual, they were trailing 1-0 at halftime. i switched from watching the game in my room to out in the living room. sure enough, United, for the 9th time this season, came from behind and defeated Aston Villa, 3-1. that means Manchester City has to wait to claim the title as theirs and it more or less guarantees that Manchester United will finish in the top 4 no matter what happens the rest of the season. of course, they play again on Tuesday.
El Trafico was excellent last night.
mom really liked what i got her for Mother's Day. it was the first time i ever got something from Touch of Modern, so i'm really happy she liked it.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. hopefully, the fucking rain will be over by then.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

well, when i saw the fans invade Old Trafford today, i was a little shocked. i know there was to be protests today over the Glazers and their shitty ownership of Manchester United. i had no clue they were going to invade the stadium and do damage. i have no clue if United and Liverpool are going to play later today or not now. good times.
the Yankees won yesterday over the Tigers, 6-4. they go for the sweep this afternoon.
i did watch the Kentucky Derby yesterday. i wasn't expecting a wire to wire win.
the New York Rangers lost last night to the Islanders, 3-0. the nail is just about in the coffin now on this season.
ROH was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

had a nice little chat with an old friend yesterday. looks like we might be trying to meet sometime this coming week. i told her i would have my people get in touch with her people, etc.
i liked what the New Orleans Saints did in the NFL Draft yesterday. i thought they filled what holes they had on the team.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get back from the bank.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday will be even better.

it was nice enough so far today, that i have been able to open the house up and let the breeze through. it has warmed up enough that it actually feels nice outside.

i found some wrestling cards yesterday at Big Lots. they were from the years 2013 - 2019. that made me go through all my wrestling cards yesterday. many of the ones i got yesterday were worth a little money. the ones i had from 2020 that i hadn't priced out yet had some amazing prices on them. so yeah, that was a fruitful trip. of course, Kroger didn't call until today about mom's pills. so i have to go get those after i get done with this and take a shower.
mom and i get our second COVID vaccine shots tomorrow. if they keep the times the same as of now, i'm going to try to get the blog done before i get the shot. if they change them to the early afternoon like last time, the blog will come afterwards.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i think i got to bed around 2 last night. just imagine the joy i felt waking up and seeing the clock say 4:23. fuck me. i eventually got up a little after 6 to take a shit. great, so much for sleeping in until the United game. more on that in a bit.
the poet of the day for this day of National Poetry Month is Casey Renee Kiser.
so, i was up in time to watch the Leeds vs. Manchester United match this morning. to say i wasn't thrilled with a 0-0 draw would be an understatement. i really wish United would have got the win today, but oh well.
the Yankees defeated the Indians last night, 2-1. they go for the sweep of the series this afternoon.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Buffalo. this is a MUST WIN game tonight.
i doubt i watch any of The Oscars tonight.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i know i will probably have to go out later today to get mom's pills at the pharmacy. i think there are a few groceries she wants me to get as well.

so, i decided to go out today and see if i could find any baseball cards. i tried 3 different stores and didn't find shit. oh well. i had to go to Kroger to get mom's pills and some other stuff she wanted. by that time, i had already been defeated. i figure i'll try again on Wednesday.
your poet of the day for this day of National Poetry Month is MK Chavez.
the New York Rangers defeated New Jersey yesterday, 5-3. that completed a 4 game sweep of the last 4 games. the Rangers are knocking on the door for that last playoff spot in their division.
Manchester United defeated Burnley yesterday, 3-1.
most of the talk after the game was about the European Super League. i'm totally against it. it is nothing but a bunch of greedy fucking owners trying to squeeze every last fucking dollar out of the world they can.
the Yankees got swept by Tampa yesterday, losing 4-2. thank fucking god they are off tonight. they haven't started this bad in 25 fucking years.
VICE was excellent last night.
City on a Hill was really good last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.
Batwoman was great last night.
The Nevers was really good last night.
Mare of Easttown was great last night. i think i am going to really like this show.
Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as usual.

as much as i want to believe i might have stumbled across the dream woman in the last few days, i'm also painfully aware i am 45 years old, i don't have much money, my health isn't the greatest and good shit never happens to me. so yeah, that small grain of optimism has its work cut out for it to survive in this bleak hell.
your poet of the day for this day of National Poetry Month is Jack Henry.
when i got into the shower this afternoon, i tried to get the water as warm as possible, just to see if that helped ease the pain in my back at all. mind you, anytime i get into water that is too hot, i have the tendency to pass out. sadly, ice hasn't been that helpful the last few days. if i had no self control, there is a likely chance i would have drank myself to death this weekend. good times.
the poet of the day for this day of National Poetry Month is John Dorsey.
night 2 of WrestleMania 37 was not as good as night 1. now, the main event was great, which may skew the thoughts of some on night 2, but not me. the only other match that i really enjoyed was Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn. hopefully, Raw and Smackdown this week clear a few things up.
the Yankees won yesterday over Tampa, 8-4 in 10 innings. they play tonight at Toronto (they are playing home games in Florida because of the pandemic).
the New York Rangers lost in OT last night at the Islanders, 3-2.
the series finale of Shameless was excellent last night.
VICE was good last night.
City on a Hill was very good last night.
Desus & Mero was hilarious last night.

i swear it has been raining for the last 2 days. my arthritis is fucking killing me. good times. i was going to do this blog early today, but i knew there was no way i could get it done before the Manchester United game, so fuck it, wait until it is over. i'm glad i did.
before we get to all of that, your poet of the day for this day of National Poetry Month is Todd Cirillo. i don't think i have been published with Todd before, but i do enjoy his poetry whenever i come across it. he is definitely one of the better ones out there.
night 1 of WrestleMania was awesome last night. other than the weather delay to start the show, i thought it went way better than i was expecting. Bad Bunny absolutely stole the night. and i am so fucking happy for Bianca Belair.
ROH was good last night.
Austin City Limits was the Janelle Monae show i mistakenly deleted awhile back.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
the Yankees lost yesterday to Tampa, 4-0. i'm hoping they won't get swept today. it isn't looking good, so far.
enjoy some music:

the New York Rangers play tonight at the Islanders. hopefully, they get another win.
Manchester United came from behind to defeat Tottenham today, 3-1. i only got to see the second half of the match. i am really happy United won.
a big thank you to everyone that has checked out my latest published poem:
