it certainly, really feels like fall now...

the house is down to 68 degrees. i believe it was in the low 40's overnight outside. the high today will only be in the 50's. my favorite time of year.

so, let's begin where we left off yesterday. i wasn't pleased with Manchester United getting down to Brentford 1-0 26 minutes into the game. it was a painful watch to say the least. right up until Scott McTominay came into the game. he scored in the 93rd minute and then the winner in the 97th minute. they really needed this win. and i hope this is the beginning of a much better future than what it was looking like was coming.

Ohio State started off like shit yesterday. as i told my mother, this always seems to happen anytime Gus Johnson is calling their game. thankfully, it didn't stay that way. Ohio State defeated Maryland yesterday, 37-17.

i did watch a few college football games yesterday.

WWE Fastlane was excellent last night.

AEW Collision was very good last night.

Austin City Limits was great last night. i have always been a fan of Rodrigo y Gabriela.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

and here comes the rain...

before i get into trying to sleep when it is raining, a little poetry news to pass on...

i sent out 13 poems this morning. 3 to Cajun Mutt Press; 5 each to Synchronized Chaos (already accepted for publication) and Horror Sleaze Trash (1 published, so far). when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

so, right as i was trying to fall asleep last night, we had some thunderstorms roll through. i eventually fell asleep at 3. i woke feeling refreshed, like 3 or 4 hours had gone by. it was 4 in the morning. that was basically how my night went until 7 or so this morning. and then of course, i got some ice this afternoon and took a 3 hour nap in my massage chair. good times.

the USMNT defeated Jamaica last night, 2-0. Ricardo Pepi scored both goals in the second half. they are now in first place in Cocacaf for World Cup qualifying. next match is at Panama on Sunday.

Young Sheldon was really good last night.

United States of Al was so good last night.

Dark Side of the Ring was crazy last night.

MLW Fightland was good, right up until the satellite went out when the storm hit. i already knew the results, so i wasn't too upset.

Cake was very funny last night.

What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.

i did catch a little of the Rams beating the Seahawks last night.

i should be on here in the morning tomorrow, before Ohio State takes on Maryland.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

thanks to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:

no, i wasn't part of the plot to kidnap the governor...

there is one reason why i will probably never move away from Ohio. there is just enough crazy people here to keep it fucking interesting. when i saw the news today of the meetings in Ohio from people from militias in Michigan to hatch a plan to kidnap the governor of Michigan, i chuckled.

the Yankees lost last night, 8-4. basically, Stanton is the only one really hitting at the moment. i'm not going to be shocked if tonight is the end of their season.

The Masked Singer was really good last night. mom's guess of The Giraffe was correct.

Big Brother was good last night. i fully expect Tyler to be evicted tonight.

NXT was excellent last night.

AEW was really fucking good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Desus & Mero. i already watched NXT UK this afternoon on WWE Network. it was really good.

other than watching some baseball tonight and a NFL game i couldn't give two shits about, i might do some poetry work.

3 down, 8 to go...

the New York Yankees defeated the Twins last night, 5-1 to sweep the ALDS series. they will now face the winner of Houston and Tampa Bay on Saturday.

so there was a change in plans today. mom stumbled in the kitchen last night and cut up her right arm pretty bad. so she cancelled her appointment today. so, i got the results from all the scans and blood tests and shit. i have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with a touch of cirrhosis. so, i now get to have a camera put down in my stomach to see if death is near because of the cirrhosis. good times. i also got my first Hep A shot today. as i drove home, i started to laugh. once again, i turned down the only pure thought i ever had at 8 years old and i'm fucking paying for it ever since.

The Voice was pretty good last night.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Monday Night Raw was okay last night. it was almost like the main event of hell in a cell never happened, as they only brought it up once all night long. last night was more about Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Total Divas, The Jim Jefferies Show, Mr. Mercedes and Mayans M.C.

i have my EMG tomorrow morning at 8. i know i'm going to be tired as fuck. the pinched nerve in my neck has been fucking with me all day long. joy.

i will probably be on here in the afternoon tomorrow.

i have trash to still pick up here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

until tomorrow...

and here come the remnants of yet another hurricane...

i doubt i am going to have much fun today trying to do my laundry while the remnants of hurricane Nate are passing through here. i think alcohol and adrenaline are the only things that truly help my arthritis anymore.

Ohio State absolutely crushed Maryland yesterday 62-14. Ohio State almost had as many points as Maryland had yards on offense. the only thing that troubled me yesterday was just how atrocious Ohio State's special teams were. the sad thing is the head coach is the one that coaches the special teams. hopefully they clean that up before they play at Nebraska next Saturday night.

the New York Rangers got blitzed at the start last night at Toronto. i stopped watching after it got to 5-1. i started watching again when the Rangers got back to 5-3. they got all the way back to 5-5 before the 3rd period started. i should have just turned the damn thing off there. Toronto went on to win the game 8-5. my dire prediction of the Rangers giving up double digit goals in the game wasn't that far off. they play again tonight at home against Montreal. i'm really hoping they don't start the season 0-3.

ROH was excellent last night.

Saturday Night Live was very good last night.

Ed Sheeran was the guest last night on Austin City Limits. i liked it more than i thought i would.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan, the series finale of Episodes, The Deuce, Vice Principals and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

i'll be watching WWE Hell in a Cell for most of the evening. ii'll be watching that instead of the Rangers and the New York Yankees.

the Yankees play Game 3 tonight at home against Cleveland. i laughed when Joe Girardi finally accepted responsibility for his fuck up in Game 2 yesterday. the joy of hindsight. hopefully they still let him go. i have no confidence that the Yankees will extend the series tonight. none.

tomorrow is Columbus Day here. i always get a good laugh at this holiday, mostly from what our shitty schools taught us about this nation. if they dared to actually teach the truth, tomorrow would just be Monday.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better. i'm off to go clean dirty underwear. enjoy the visual.

does tossing and turning count as sleep?

when i saw the water rising in Savannah, Georgia last night, i immediately thought of my sister. she loves that town and has talked about moving there one day. i told my mother this will be the test to see how much my sister is really just my father. if the first thought she has when she sees the flooding is oh, i might be able to get some property cheap now, she is my father. i'm hoping that won't cross her fucking mind.

i haven't heard from my friends in South Carolina yet, so i'm hoping they are safe. thankfully, it doesn't look like they took a direct hit, but i know flooding isn't a walk in the park either.

the grocery store wasn't very interesting yesterday. i think i saw a couple women that may enter my dreams, but mostly i was concerned with getting the shopping done and getting back home. i got it all done in under 60 minutes and managed to keep it under $100. that's a victory.

the friendly yesterday between the USA vs. Cuba was ugly, mostly because the field was fucking atrocious. the USA won 2-0, but when you consider that Cuba hit the post twice, it was much closer than the score indicates.

NJPW was excellent last night.

High Maintenance was hilarious last night. here's one unknown fact about me, i do love rave culture. i suppose that's one of the good things about doing drugs in the 90's.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

Ohio State plays Indiana this afternoon. Indiana has played them really tough the last few years and i have no doubt they are coming in thinking they have a shot to upset the #2 team in the country. hopefully they go back tonight and realize they were wrong.

there are some pretty good college football games today. i will probably flip between them for most of the day.

plus, it actually feels like fall today, so i might open up the windows and take a long ass nap in the breeze.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

what a weird perverse night

i was trying to watch as much of the hockey game as i could last night, but there was so much other BRILLIANT shit on last night... and thankfully the DVR got all of it.

first off, a little poetry news... i heard back from Big Hammer on my recent poetry submission. Dave really dug what i sent but he's taking a break from publishing at the moment. he wants me to send him some work in 6 months. i will gladly do that. you can find issue #18 of Big Hammer here:
http://outlawlibrary.blogspot.com/2015/09/big-hammer-18-2015.html

NXT Takeover: Respect last night was very good. i think i would have made a few different decisions but i understand why HHH went the way he did with the tag team tournament. and the main event did not disappoint, although i think i enjoyed the Brooklyn match better. that being said, 2 of the 5 greatest women's wrestling matches i have ever seen are Sasha Banks vs. Bayley. enjoy some highlights:

Table for 3 with Dean Ambrose, Cesaro and Kevin Owens did not disappoint either. it had me laughing for the entire 30 minutes:

American Horror Story: Hotel was fucking crazy, bloody, freaky and fucking great last night. a little too much male ass for my taste but the dildo drilled into the ass was certainly a scene i will never be able to erase from my brain. if this is any indication how this season is going to be... it will be the best season of the series EVER.

You're The Worst was great last night. kind of repeated the same ending as last week but with another subtle twist. i can't wait to see where this goes.

the New York Rangers got off to a great start last night. they blitzed Chicago for 3 goals in the first period. i guess they were pissed because the ceremony for the Stanley Cup and raising the banner went longer than expected. those 3 goals held up as the Rangers won 3-2. Chicago nearly tied the game late but the refs and the replay assholes made the right call. i was certainly waiting for the FUCK THE RANGERS button to be pushed in Toronto. maybe this will be a different season. i will be in Columbus tomorrow night to see the Rangers take on the Blue Jackets. here's the highlights from last night:

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

there really isn't anything that needs to go on the DVR tonight. i'll be flipping between the NFL game and some hockey games. i'm interested in seeing the top 2 rookies make their debuts tonight. since they are talking them up like it's the second coming of the great one, i figure i might as well take a look. i have no players going tonight in fantasy football so i'm not sure how much of the game i will watch.

i listened to the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. if you would like to hear Dolph Ziggler stick one to John Cena, i highly recommend it.
you can find the podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, notsam.com and on the right hand side of this blog.

i will be on here early tomorrow as we will have to leave in the afternoon to get up to Columbus for the game. so expect a quickie tomorrow. i know some of you with your minds in the gutter don't mind that.

that's all for me kids. i hope everyone is doing better than normal.
