so, as i was finally going to bed at 5 AM this morning, i heard my mother scream from her bedroom. i got in her room and turned on the light. as usual, she thought there was something on her bed, like a spider or whatever. for the 1 millionth time, there wasn't. i told her the show started late. she usually does this shit around 3 AM. so, i went to sleep. i stayed up so late because i was tired of waking up at 7 AM. i figure this way, i would at least sleep until 9 or 10. silly me. mom screamed again around 8:30. that woke me up. she told me she screamed because she had to piss. so, i was up the rest of the morning. people wonder why i drink strong ass coffee. i did get a little nap this afternoon, but i wouldn't call 45 minutes the refresher i needed.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Deadliest Catch and Hard Knocks.
the Yankees start a series tonight at home against Cleveland. this is a potential playoff matchup, so i would love if the Yankees actually play good and win.
i was able to open up the house some today. that probably helped my nap this afternoon.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.
i need to get all the trash picked up and figure out dinner.
that phrase has become a go to in the last few years for me. i try to apply that to everything i do anymore. poetry, sports, watching tv, anything... what i have found is my frustration has simply grown that others don't have the same philosophy. now, i have tried to mend my asshole ways and not take that frustration out on others. but, taking frustration out on myself is an old ass pastime that has never been as productive as i would hope. which leads me to the playoffs last night...
the New York Rangers lost Game 5 last night at home to Carolina, 4-1. considering they went into the third period up 1-0 last night, i'm a little pissed at the lack of urgency they showed in the last 20 minutes. with that being said, they are still up 3-2 in the series. Game 6 will be Thursday night at Carolina.
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:
The Voice was really good last night. i have no damn clue who is going home tonight.
Monday Night Raw was excellent last night.

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT, The Voice and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon 10 year anniversary show.
the New York Yankees play tonight in Minnesota.
i'm sure i will watch some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight.
now, tomorrow, everything gets a bit tricky for me. mom has a doctors appointment in the afternoon. i will have to do the grocery shopping after that. that means i am going to try to get the blog done in the morning tomorrow. i also need to go to the bank tomorrow. plus, doing all this in the afternoon means i will miss watching Manchester United play the final home match of the season against Newcastle.
i need to get the trash picked up and figure out what i'm making for dinner tonight.
this rain has been just enough today to be fucking miserable.

it is like a low hum in my left ear today. i'm not sure if it is something COVID related or maybe my mental tricks actually still work from time to time. i have always been a big believer in accepting the pain as a means to control it. after my 3 hours of shitty sleep last night, i figured that would be the best thing i could do with my ear. so far it has worked pretty good for me today.
so, if all goes to plan tomorrow, mom will be back home. the group call today went pretty good. i could tell from listening to mom on it, she is more than ready to be back home. i do feel like i am symptom free, so i will hopefully be testing negative soon.
the World Cup was a bit crazy today. i woke up and saw Argentina was up 1-0 on Saudi Arabia and went back to sleep. so, when i woke up later and saw that Saudi Arabia beat Argentina, 2-1, i had to make sure i had my damn glasses on so i knew i wasn't misreading something. holy shit. in the other games today, Denmark and Tunisia finished 0-0, likewise for Mexico vs. Poland; France defeated Australia today 4-1.
CR7 is now gone from Manchester United. i can't say i am surprised. it was obvious what he was trying to do with the Piers Morgan interview. hopefully he finds what he is looking for but i highly doubt anyone other than those teams in China or Saudi Arabia is going to pay what he wants to play anymore.
now, if this Manchester United news actually happens, i will be more than happy...
the New York Knicks won last night in Oklahoma City, 129-119.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
The Voice was really good last night. i have no clue who is getting voted off tonight.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night.
the series finale of The Vow last night was excellent. hard to believe there are still people brainwashed by that fucker.
Avenue 5 was hilarious last night. the season finale is next week.

so, a friend was supposed to come over last night and bring some medical marijuana for my mother to try. we're kind of searching for something to really actually work on the pain she has. and maybe this is why i don't have many friends, as the friend never showed up. now, she claims she came by and texted and called, but i got none of those. i was sitting in the living room, watching television, waiting. and waiting. and waiting. around 1 in the morning i gave up. i feel bad for my mother as she doesn't know still if the medical marijuana would work for her or not.
so, the plan today was for me to go meet her as this was her day off. i got all the grocery shopping done and now i'm waiting to hear from her. and i'm not going to be shocked to be handed another handful of excuses why we couldn't meet, etc. it is beyond frustrating at this point.
and that brings me to death. as i listen to my mother cry herself to sleep from the pain, how i can't lift my right arm without some nerve getting fucking higher than a kite in joy, etc. etc. have i written enough that i would be remembered? i strongly believe that as long as 1 person remembers you and shares that gift, you are still alive. just not experiencing any of the pain or bullshit that comes with being alive. and that is what is the tempting nature of death. the sheer relief from the utter wastefulness and bat shit crazy bullshit that is humanity. as much fun, as much love, as much freedom that could be enjoyed on this earth, every other fucking thing on the flipside of that is life as well. now, i'm not saying life should be a bed of roses. i'll never forget that the most beautiful roses grow in the smelliest shit ever. i'm just saying if you come across this blog and there hasn't been a post in a few weeks or so, i found the secret door to death and leaped at the god damn chance to free myself from this earth. and that is the most beautiful thought anyone could ever have.
the Yankees defeated the Orioles last night, 12-8. Rizzo hit 3 home runs last night. he now leads the majors. hopefully, the boys will win again tonight.
the New York Rangers lost to Carolina last night, 4-3. oh well. they will finish second in the division and have home ice for the first round of the playoffs. they play Montreal at home tonight.
NXT was excellent last night.
Young Rock was pretty good last night.
Name That Tune was good last night.
Mayans was great last night.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
