like a punch to the gut...

when i got the news about the death of John Lewis last night, it was like a punch to the gut. and then to think that he and C.T. Vivian died on the same day, it was like being punched yet again. i am a huge fan of history, especially history that means something. the civil rights movement was something that was taught to us in high school with a little more urgency i believe than at other schools, since the school i was going to was mostly made up of black students. i had friends that had parents and grandparents that marched on Washington. i used to listen to those stories and listen to the speeches all the time. i'm not sure how many people in this ignorant as shit country truly understand the gravity of who died yesterday. they are probably too busy with their pride that a racist is the president of this country. my only hope is that Mr. Lewis is finding some good trouble. rest in power. likewise for Mr. Vivian.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

i need to do my laundry today. i was hoping to have most of it done already, but i didn't fall asleep until 5 this morning once again. it's like my body has shifted back to when i used to work third shift in my 20's.
