almost a perfect Sunday...

might as well start where yesterday's blog stopped, Manchester United.

the satellite was fucked up, i'm guessing the snow and cold and shit, so i had to watch the game on the computer. i found it about 10 minutes into it. when Manchester United went up 1-0 on Tottenham in the first half, i was pleasantly surprised. the second half became the David De Gea half, as he put on a fucking show in goal for the ages. 11 saves in the second half alone and United won the game 1-0. that's 6 wins in 6 matches for Ole. first United manager to ever do that. and with the changes he made yesterday, i think he does have what it takes to be the permanent manager for the club if they choose to go that route. United is now just 6 points from the top 4. the rest of this season is going to be fun.

next up was the Dayton Flyers. they got off to a hot start against UMass and never trailed in the game. of course, because of the usual cold spell in the second half (this usually happens when your coach forgets the best player on the team is still on the bench), UMass did make it interesting. Dayton won 72-67. that's 6 wins in a row. they will play at VCU on Wednesday. if they make it 7 wins in a row, i will start to believe this team could win the A10 this season.

the New Orleans Saints were up next. when Drew Brees threw an interception on the first play of the game, i wasn't happy, but i wasn't worried. when the Eagles went up 14-0, i was a little concerned, but not worried yet. but, thanks to a gusty fake punt call and the defense showing up in the last 3 quarters and the offense doing just enough, the Saints won 20-14. the Saints will now play the Rams the day before my birthday with a chance to go to the Super Bowl. my new Saints shirt is now 1-0.

and then it was the New York Rangers turn to bust up a near perfect day. although, i do want them to lose as much as possible to get a good draft pick (which they will probably fuck up, but that's a different story), i want them to lose the right way, where there is at least some hope for the future. when you lose 7-5 to Columbus in a game where you were outworked the entire fucking game, it's not a good sign. thankfully, the coach saw exactly what i saw as well.

the season finale of Ray Donovan last night was fucking crazy.

both episodes of True Detective last night were really good. i can't wait to see what happens next.

Total Bellas last night was pretty good.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

mom had the driveway and sidewalks cleared off today. i can't do it anymore with my bad back. i told her since we have to go to the doctor tomorrow and my sister will be coming down for my birthday this weekend, might as well get it cleared off. it looks like they did a pretty good job.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow after mom's doctor's appointment.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

7 days until my birthday people. if you'd like to get me something, the link to my Amazon.com wish list is on the right hand side of the blog. if you're reading this on Goodreads. i'm obviously talking about the actual blog on Blogger.
