one of those days to forget

if you have read this blog for any amount of time, i think it's pretty safe that i can assume you know just how big of a sports fan i am. which also means you know there are certain days where, as a sports fan, i'd rather stick a gun in my mouth than face the next day. hello to the present.

where to begin... oh, that's right, a little team in Manchester that probably pissed away a chance to finish in the top 4 this season. i guess it's poison for Manchester United to score first this season. of course, they only had that lead for almost 2 minutes. then, they absolutely dominated the second half but, as the manager said after the game, they forgot to score. who the fuck forgets that? dominate for 45 minutes and never challenge the keeper once and Swansea gets one fucking chance and it's in the back of the net. fuck me. now i have to lower myself into hoping Liverpool wins today so United is still in the top 4, barely. and if that wasn't bad enough...

the Dayton Flyers were always a team when i was growing up that would tease you with potential and then absolutely crush your hearts with a horrific loss to a team they should never lose to going down the stretch of a season. the last couple of years, that kind of loss hadn't happened. unfortunately, yesterday, it reared its fucking ugly head once again. to lose to a shitty Duquesne team by 10 (83-73) is bad, but to lose when only one player gives max effort (Dyshawn Pierre 27 points 12 rebounds) and no one gives a shit on defense is completely unacceptable. if they ever wonder why they missed the NCAA tournament this season, this will be the game they can look back to. nothing quite like going from being tied for first in the league to being fourth because you lost to a team with now 9 fucking wins this season. 9. i think i just tasted vomit.

after that, i decided to go punish myself by shoveling snow. what a fucking great time i had. we had every bit of 6 or 7 inches of snow. after i got the sidewalks done, my back was killing me. but, i couldn't do anything for it as i still had to feed the cats and take the trash out. just imagine what a couple of victory beers could have done for me.

the cats couldn't give a shit that i was there with food and water because i was a few hours later than i normally am. and people wonder why i don't like animals.

i let mom basically have the television last night. so, it was some Dateline and home improvement shows. i was hoping to get some sleep, but of course that didn't happen. so i basically just got on the computer and listened to music for a good 90 minutes or so. since i don't smoke pot anymore, that is my way of zoning out. it helped, i guess.

i fell asleep in the middle of ROH last night. so, i'm going to try to catch the episode today at noon. after that, i may watch a little of the Daytona 500 before i have to go to the grocery store to get my prescriptions. hopefully the roads are better today than yesterday.

tonight, the New York Rangers play Columbus at MSG. i won't watch much of the game as i have to watch the Columbus feed for it, and their announcers fucking suck. since the Academy Awards are tonight, Showtime isn't running any new shows. that makes my Sunday night a little easier. i believe the plan will be to watch The Jinx, Total Divas, Girls, Last Week Tonight, and Togetherness tonight. if everything works out, i might actually be done before 1 in the morning.

since we have all this snow now, the temps are going to get cold as fuck again. so, just about every night for the next week, the low will be below zero. good times. thank god the propane tank got filled the other day.

of course, being this cold will make moving pure fucking hell. and since the internet and Directv is going in at the end of February/early March at the new house, most of the shit has to be moved this week. good times. so, this more or less is my last week of living on the farm. hard to believe i have been here since May of 1997.

not sure how i will like/hate life in suburbia as i have hardly any clue how that is anymore. having neighbors that are within walking distance is certainly going to be a new thing.

oh well, cross that bridge when i get to it i suppose.

that's all for me today. this upcoming week is going to be hit or miss for this blog. i have no clue when i'm going to be on here next. so, until then my friends. hope you're having a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...
