i have no patience for incompetence...

it's always the little things that people do that drive me fucking crazy at times. for instance, my doctor's appointment today was to get my third shot for my Hepatitis B vaccine. i told 3 different people about it and they all marked it down, but who was the one who didn't... the nurse practitioner. so when the woman came in to give me my flu shot, i told her i was supposed to also get the Hep B shot and she looked at me like i had three heads. she then got into my file and sure enough i was right (imagine that) and she then had to go find the one that had to enter it to sign off on it. this was supposed to be a 30 minute appointment today. i was in the place for over 60 minutes. i get to have an EMG so we can finally figure out where the pinched nerve is. i also have to get 2 x-rays of my spine done. joy.

i raced home because mom wanted to get her haircut today. we went. i'm not thrilled with my results, but i also don't really give two shits how i look anymore. mom for some reason wanted Wendy's after that. there's one on the way home from the strip mall we got our haircuts at, so we got food there and brought it home.

i'm running on roughly 4 hours of sleep at the moment. i stayed up late to finish that country music documentary on PBS. i watched all 8 episodes. it was worth my time.

the New York Yankees lost last night down in Tampa, 4-0. they only had 1 hit in the game. they are off tonight and start the final series of the regular season against the Texas Rangers tomorrow night.

NXT and NXT UK were both really fucking good last night.

the season finale of Big Brother went as i expected. Michie won 6-3 over Holly. i thought it was a little shitty, but i did laugh, when they told Michie right before he won how America viewed him as a racist and a woman hater for his actions this season.

American Horror Story was excellent last night.

Cake was fucking great last night. i think i am really going to enjoy this show.

The Masked Singer was really good last night. i went 1 for 2 on my guesses.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, The Unicorn, Perfect Harmony and Mr Inbetween.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against the Flyers. i'll probably get to watch the highlights at some point tonight.

i'll probably watch a little of the NFL game tonight between the Eagles and Packers.

i did listen to episode 257 of Notsam Wrestling this afternoon. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2019/9/26/notsam-wrestling-257-hornswoggle

i'll be on here tomorrow after i get done at the grocery store. i'm planning on spending my morning getting the x-rays done at the very least. i believe the EMG has to be scheduled. of course, all i can think is more money i don't have being spent on this shit.

that's all for me kids. hopefully tomorrow i'll be in a better mood.

until then...

running on fumes...

i guess you could say i'm on the comedown now... of course, i'm burning the candle at both ends again. as i tell anyone who wants to listen. place your bets on the under on how many years i live. i can easily say i won't be here 25 years from now. and if i am, you can blame whatever angel decided i was worth the effort.

i had to take mom to get her blood work done again today. i guess her doctor didn't like the kidney numbers on the earlier one this week. she sees him on Monday. after that, she wanted to go to Bob Evans. i joked that it was before 4 PM, so we should beat the early dinner crowd. our waitress was on her first day on the job. that was fun. i gave her a good tip, mostly because she was drop dead gorgeous.

the New York Yankees lost last night in 12 innings to Tampa, 2-1. hopefully, they will get the split in the series tonight.

the New York Rangers got their first win of the preseason last night, 3-1 over the Islanders.

Smackdown was good last night, as was 205 Live.

Mayans M.C. had a nice oh fuck moment last night. loved it.

Mr. Mercedes was excellent last night.

The Voice was good last night.

The Jim Jefferies Show was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT, the season finale of Big Brother, American Horror Story, Cake and The Masked Singer. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

Manchester United played Rochdale today in the League Cup. thank god i didn't watch. United ended up winning on penalty kicks, 5-3. i believe Rochdale plays 2 leagues below United. great.

i'll be on here tomorrow in the late afternoon again. i have a doctor's appointment at 2. when i get back home, i think mom wants me to take her to get her haircut. lord knows, i need one as well. so, if that happens, i'll be on here after we're all done.

that's all for me kids. thankfully tonight is full of mindless entertainment.

sometimes the brain just forgets to shut off...

i have been on full blast since i got back from mom's appointment today. and of course, since i procrastinate as much as i create, i'm behind as usual.

i did write 4 poems today while in the waiting room. i'm really hoping that the injections help mom. i made her use her walker today. the nurse told me afterwards to really pay attention to her, she was making the nurse nervous. oh great.

i sent out 11 poems today, 3 each to The Beatnik Cowboy and Rusty Truck; 5 to Horror Sleaze Trash. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

rest in peace Robert Hunter. you probably influenced me as much as any writer on this earth.

The Voice was pretty good last night.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, Mayans M.C., Mr. Mercedes, The Voice and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Yankees play tonight down in that dump in Tampa. hopefully the Yankees can get a victory over a team that knows it needs to win to make the playoffs.

the New York Rangers are at home tonight against the Islanders. i might watch some of the game.

i still have trash to pick up here and next door, so that's pretty much all for me kids.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i have pills to pick up and god knows what else.

it's a long line of stubborn assholes...

i had to take my mother to her doctor's appointment today. her back is really killing her, but she thought she could just use her cane. i have to remind her from time to time that pride will end up killing her. after we were done with the appointment, i was helping her sit down outside on a bench and of course, she ended up falling. it looked like her shoe somehow came off and she twisted her ankle. it took a nurse, myself and two other women to help her up. of course, she was more embarrassed than anything. i told her on the way home her indecisiveness is killing her. she's talked for weeks about getting a new walker, yet hasn't ordered one or told me what to go out and get. i told her as plainly as i could, i will help you if you want it, if you don't want it, you won't get it. the appointment went well. her liver numbers are good. she's pissed about gaining 8 lbs. this week. thankfully, she gets her injections tomorrow morning.

the New York Yankees won yesterday against Toronto 8-3. that finished up their season at home. they are off tonight and start a 2 game series at that dump down in Tampa tomorrow night.

the New Orleans Saints won at Seattle yesterday, 33-27. that was a pleasant surprise. they face Dallas at home next Sunday night.

Big Brother was good last night. i know Holly won the second HOH, so it will be Michie vs. Holly in the final HOH of the season. i would be shocked if they didn't take each other to the finals.

Succession was good last night.

The Righteous Gemstones was pretty funny last night.

Ballers was very good last night.

Power was yet another holy fuck why did he have to die episode. this season has been fucking nuts.

The Affair was excellent last night.

On Becoming A God in Central Florida took another dark twist last night. loved it.

enjoy some music:

i might try to get some poems out as well tomorrow.

it never fails...

i wrote 6 poems last night. i put off typing them up last night because i wanted to get some sleep so i would be up on time this morning to watch Manchester United. silly me.

Manchester United lost to West Ham today 2-0. injuries are crippling United at the moment and the team just has no fucking imagination as well. i stopped watching at halftime to start typing up those poems.

i really like the 6 poems i wrote. i guess my night with the third eye open paid off. sometime this week, if i can find the time, i'll send out another round of submissions.

Ohio State came out flat yesterday against Miami. both my mother and sister graduated from Miami. thankfully, Ohio State flipped the switch and scored the next 76 points. holy shit. Ohio State plays next week at Nebraska.

the New York Yankees defeated Toronto yesterday 7-2. hopefully the Yankees will win the series today, which happens to be the final home game of the season.

i did watch a few college football games yesterday. i enjoyed the Michigan loss. Notre Dame vs. Georgia was pretty good. UCLA vs. Washington St. was fucking crazy last night.

the New York Rangers lost last night in Philadelphia, 4-1. they haven't won a preseason game yet. joy.

ROH was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

technically, the last weekend of the summer...

it's another hot and muggy day today. i could feel myself sweating while walking out to get the mail. good times.

the New York Yankees lost last night to Toronto, 4-3. hopefully, they will get a victory this afternoon.

the New York Rangers lost last night to the Devils, 4-2. i didn't watch much of the game.

AAA Presents Lucha Invades NY was pretty good last night.

Murder in the Bayou was excellent last night.

Room 104 was great last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

Ohio State plays Miami (Ohio) this afternoon. i'm hoping Ohio State doesn't think all they have to do is just show up and they will win.

i'm sure i will watch plenty of other college football games today and tonight.

i did vacuum the house this morning. now, i really could use some ice for my bad back.

i should be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

spent last night with the third eye open...

i didn't get to bed until 6 this morning. as much as i wanted to be celebrating the Yankees finally winning another division title, last night was more of a poetic depth plunge into my darkness. i find as a poet i often have to hang out with my demons to gain a better understanding of how to effectively use them in this fucking world. now, what usually happens is i will have a poetry dump here in the next couple days where 10 or 15 poems will appear out of nowhere. and with the doctor visits coming up, i should have the time.

the New York Yankees won last night over the Angels, 9-1. it was their 100th win of the season and it clinched the American League East for the first time since 2012. Aaron Boone became the first manager to win 100 games in both of his first two seasons as a manager. the Yankees start their final series at home before the playoffs tonight against Toronto.

Big Brother went as i expected last night. Michie voted out Cliff. Michie won the first HOH of the final 3. he will face the winner of Nicole vs. Holly in the final HOH of the season.

Mr InBetween was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Real Time with Bill Maher, Room 104, Murder in the Bayou and AAA Presents Lucha Invades NY.

the New York Rangers are playing tonight at the Devils. i might watch some of that.

the grocery store was a zoo today. the line for the gas station was out to the street, so i had to get gas after i got the groceries. of course, it was only like 88 degrees today. thankfully, i didn't buy any frozen shit today. between gas, and both grocery stores, i think i spent a little over $110. in my mind, that's a win.

i will be on here tomorrow before Ohio State plays in the afternoon.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

i suppose it would be cheaper if i died...

i got another sign from the universe today that i won't be living on earth for a long time. i paid out nearly $600 that i don't have for those two procedures i had last week. now, mom is probably going to reimburse me for those, but i know that won't last forever. and when i handed her the receipt i told her, it's simply another sign my death would be easier for all of us. good times.

i did make a deposit at the bank today. i really wish the weather would fucking finally change to fall.

the New York Yankees lost last night to the Angels, 3-2. their magic number is still at 1, so a victory tonight will give them the series and the American League East.

the New York Rangers played their first preseason game last night. of course, i didn't get to watch it due to the NHL's stupid blackout policy. the Rangers lost to the Devils, 4-3.

NXT was fucking amazing last night. if this is what the live shows are going to be like, holy shit i am so happy to be alive and be a wrestling fan.

Big Brother was good last night. i'm fully convinced that Michie will vote out Cliff tonight.

American Horror Story was excellent last night. looks like it is going to be another great season.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh Primetime Special last night was pretty good.

enjoy some music:

Manchester United won today, 1-0 in the Europa League. i was hoping to watch the game, but of course they are making people pay for it now. so, i simply followed along online. it sounded like there were plenty of chances. thankfully, Mason Greenwood decided he wanted to score. United plays again on Sunday against West Ham.

i will probably watch some of the NFL game tonight, mostly because there won't be much else on. the Titans play the Jags.

i will be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

hopefully, tonight is the night...

the New York Yankees won last night over the Angels, 8-0. the Rays lost last night to the Dodgers, so the Yankees magic number is down to 1. with a victory tonight, they would win the division for the first time in 7 seasons and would get their 100th win of the season.

They Shall Not Grow Old might have been the best war documentary i have EVER seen. it doesn't romanticize war. it had some of the most graphic images i can remember in any war documentary. i highly recommend everyone watching this.

Smackdown was good last night, as was 205 Live.

Mayans M.C. was excellent last night.

Mr. Mercedes was very good last night.

The Jim Jefferies Show was fucking hilarious last night.

i wept during the episode of the country music documentary last night on PBS. i can remember my grandmother singing me Hank Williams songs when i was really young, like 3 or 4. the memories were flooding back last night.

enjoy some music:

the joys of a bad back...

so i took a shower last night and got the warm water to hit my lower back. i think i did too good of a job as i had to shit right after i got out of the shower. talk about feeling like you just wasted the last twenty minutes of your life. of course, i sit at this computer so much each day, i doubt i'm doing myself any favors. my back tightened up while i was sitting in the waiting room this morning while mom was getting her blood work done. not the easiest thing to have happen when you're checking out this older black woman's legs and don't want to come off as a fucking creep. good times.

we went to Perkins for breakfast after mom got her blood work done. that's the only place around here who has coffee i can stand. no lie.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight at home against the Angels. the Yankees magic number to clinch is 3. i'm hoping they are drinking some champagne at some point on this homestand.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i love that Bray Wyatt is being used more and more now.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

i've been really enjoying Ken Burns new documentary about country music. i'm a sucker for history and all these old songs are reminding me of what my grandmother used to sing when i was in her house as a child.

a Sunday i would like to forget ever happened...

first off, i was never that much into the Cars when i was growing up, but i did love the work Ric Ocasek did as a producer for No Doubt, Weezer, Guided by Voices, etc. rest in peace, you have earned it.

the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday to the Rams, 27-9. the fucking refs blew another call against the Saints, this time costing them a defensive touchdown. and the league wants to say they don't have it out for the Saints. right. they also missed the play where a Rams player ripped off a Saints player's helmet and punched him in the face. Drew Brees fucked up his thumb on his throwing hand early in the game. that kind of threw everything off for the rest of the game. it looks like Drew is going to need surgery for his thumb and could miss 6 to 8 weeks. the Saints have the highest paid backup in the NFL. time to see if Teddy Bridgewater is worth it.

the New York Yankees lost to Toronto yesterday, 6-4. they are off tonight and start their final homestand of the season tomorrow night against the Angels. the magic number is down to 3, so i do believe they will clinch the division at home.

WWE Clash of Champions was pretty good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. Michie deserves a fucking award for pulling that lie off. and since i know Michie won the VETO, i'm pretty sure Cliff will be the one evicted from the final four.

Power was fucking awesome last night.

Succession was very good last night.

The Righteous Gemstones was hilarious last night.

Ballers was good last night.

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.

The Affair was excellent last night.

On Becoming A God in Central Florida was very funny last night.

hopefully the weekend finishes off as well as it started...

i actually got some sleep last night, something close to 6 hours. of course, that means i'm running behind this morning. good times.

Manchester United beat Leicester yesterday 1-0. i saw the highlights last night. i was really pleased the boys kept a clean sheet, especially given all the injuries.

Ohio State whipped the shit out of Indiana yesterday, winning 51-10. unlike last season, i think they have found a running game and the defense is so much better this season.

the New York Yankees won yesterday in Toronto, 13-3. the magic number is down to 4. hopefully, they will win the series this afternoon.

NJPW was really good last night.

ROH was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, The Affair, On Becoming A God in Central Florida, Succession, Ballers, The Righteous Gemstones and Last Week Tonight. i will be watching WWE Clash of Champions for most of the evening.

the New Orleans Saints play today at the Los Angeles Rams. i'm not thinking of this as a revenge game for the ref's fuck ups in the NFC Championship game last season. but, i am thinking of this as a game the Saints need to win to make sure that game is back in New Orleans again this season.

i have no idea when i will be on here tomorrow. i know at some point next week i need to take mom to get some blood work done. she has to be fasting, so i think we're going to go out to breakfast after that. it's just about finding a morning where she's feeling good and it's not already fucking humid as hell.
