taking hate and making poetry

i was busy watching soccer yesterday when i heard the news that the number of dead in the mass shooting in Orlando had gone up to 50. for a good portion of yesterday i was a zombie watching the news and letting the thoughts gather in my head. hypocrisy is easy to write about when it runs so fucking rampant in this country. i've never heard a good argument why you need an assault rifle to hunt. and i will laugh at everyone that forgets the shooter was born in this country. and if you're going to deport people based on religion, you explain to me how that doesn't sound like Germany in the late 1930's. i saw this photo last night and decided to make it my profile picture:

sure, it's a bit naive but it's a wonderful thought. the 3 poems i wrote last night were about the shooting. i did like one ending i had where i hope the shooter's son is gay and realizes what a fuck up his father was. i typed the poems up this afternoon. i have no clue when or if i will send them out one day.

the Copa America was crazy last night. Ecuador destroyed Haiti 4-0 and will play the USA in the quarterfinals. Peru upset Brazil 1-0 with a goal that should not have counted. it was clearly a hand ball and will undoubtedly bring forth video replay for goals in soccer one day. that disputed goal knocked Brazil out of the tournament. Peru will play Colombia.

the Copa America games tonight are Mexico vs. Venezuela and Uruguay vs. Jamaica.

the Euro 2016 tournament isn't as crazy but is still entertaining. here are the scored from yesterday:
Croatia 1 Turkey 0, Poland 1 Northern Ireland 0, Germany 2 Ukraine 0. i got up this morning in time to watch Spain vs. Czech Republic. i wanted to see how David de Gea would play for Spain. it was a pretty boring game and de Gea was good when called upon. Spain won late 1-0. Ireland and Sweden played to a 1-1 draw in a pretty entertaining game. but the game coming up next should be great, Italy vs. Belgium.

the Old Timer's Day festivities yesterday were good. it was nice to see some of the old Yankees from the past. plus, the way Hideki Matsui hit that home run in the game, i'm surprised the Yankees didn't sign him today. as for the regular game, the Yankees didn't muster much offense and lost 4-1. thankfully, they are off today. i believe they start a series in Colorado tomorrow night.

i did watch some of the Tony Awards last night. i thought the opening was really good.

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. the series finale of House of Lies was pretty interesting. not so much funny but it was beautiful to watch given that it was filmed in Cuba. i can only imagine what that country will look like when the embargo gets lifted one day. Veep was hilarious. Silicon Valley was really good. Penny Dreadful was so fucking amazing last night. the ending literally had me getting out of my bed saying holy shit. i can't wait for the 2 hour season finale next week. Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight so i'll be flipping between soccer, the NBA Finals and Monday Night Raw.

i am interested to see if Draymond Green being suspended will actually mean anything in Game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight.

the Penguins won the Stanley Cup last night. i will only say congrats to Carl Hagelin. he's one of my favorite New York Rangers. i'm really happy for him. as for the rest of the team, they can go fuck themselves.

i did listen to the latest Sam & Cathy podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:

i really didn't go outside at all today. i can't wait to go on vacation in July in Cleveland. 2 of those days will mostly be outside as well. i don't want rain, but i wouldn't mind a cool fucking breeze while i'm there.

that's all for me kids. i hope everyone had a great weekend. do the entire world a favor, please stop teaching your children to hate. or, better yet, quit having fucking kids.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

so miracles do still exist

when the USA was up 1-0 last night against Paraguay and getting ready to start the second half, i was pretty confident. 5 minutes later, after Deandre Yedlin picked up two yellow cards and was sent off, not so much. thankfully, the USA defended the rest of the half like their lives depended on it. John Brooks was amazing. Brad Guzan was amazing. honestly, all of the guys were amazing as Paraguay needed the game more than the USA did. when the final whistle blew, i was spent. i felt like i was out there defending with them. but, to make it out of the group after losing their first game is an accomplishment.

then i settled in to watch Costa Rica take on Colombia. Colombia's coach decided to basically change the entire team. i could understand his thinking. the USA destroyed Costa Rica, so Colombia should be able to do the same. whoops. Costa Rica stunned the number 3 team in the world, defeating Colombia 3-2. so that means that, holy shit, the USA won Group A and will most likely avoid having to play Brazil in the quarterfinals. the USA will play in Seattle on Thursday against the runner up of Group B. Colombia will most likely play Brazil on Friday.

i woke up this morning still in disbelief. my best guess is the USA will play Ecuador. if they can win that, amazingly, they will be in the semifinals.

the Copa America matches tonight are Ecuador vs. Haiti and Brazil vs. Peru.

i'm watching Croatia take on Turkey right now in Euro 2016. Croatia is up 1-0 with a beautiful goal from Luka Modric. the other matches today are Poland vs. Northern Ireland and Germany vs. Ukraine.

the New York Yankees lost last night, 6-1. i didn't watch until they loaded the bases in the bottom of the 9th. and as usual this season, they didn't do anything. today is Old Timer's Day at the stadium. time for another voyage back into nostalgia.

ROH was excellent last night. all the matches were great.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the series finale of House of Lies, Penny Dreadful, Silicon Valley, Veep and Last Week Tonight.

i got Shrug's new CD this morning. holy shit it's great. i'm so happy they decided to put out music again. here is a link to it: http://shrug.bandcamp.com/

it felt like it was already 80 degrees when i went out to get the paper this morning. i think mom might be going to the grocery store alone today.

i think i might try to do some writing as well today. i've got a few thoughts running in my head.

that's all for me kids. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better.

getting a sunburn in the shade

thankfully, there was no line at all when we took 4 boxes of shit to get shredded today. that was pretty easy. i found exactly what i was looking for at Hobby Lobby and even better, it was 50% off as well. mom found a few things she was looking for at Bed Bath & Beyond. i swear by the time we got out of there, it felt like it was near 100 outside. we were going to drive back to town to get lunch but then i thought we weren't far from this sports bar that we both like. mom just happened to have a gift card on her, so that settled that. it felt good to get into the air conditioning for a while. lunch was good. there must have been a fire somewhere on the way home as 2 fire trucks came flying past me on the way back. and sure enough, as soon as i got home, it was a race to the toilet. even if i take precautions (pills) or hydrate myself properly (water instead of alcohol), the heat destroys me anymore. good times.

the New York Yankees won again last night, 4-0 over Detroit. it's the first time since April, when they were 4-3 on the season, that they've been above .500. hopefully they will get 2 games over .500 by winning again tonight.

i did enjoy the Copa America games last night. Chile won a wild game over Bolivia 2-1 with a penalty kick at the death. Messi finally played for Argentina and it took him all of 20 minutes to get a hat trick. fucking ridiculous. Argentina defeated Panama 5-0.

tonight is a massive MUST WIN game for the USA vs. Paraguay. if the USA loses, they are eliminated. if they can get a draw, they will most likely advance. if they win, they are onto the quarterfinals. and once again, if they lose, i want the coach fired before the end of the night.

the other Copa America game tonight is Colombia vs. Costa Rica.

i did watch a little bit of the Euro 2016 before i had to leave this morning. Switzerland defeated Albania 1-0. i saw a little bit of Wales while i was at the sports bar. they defeated Slovakia 2-1. and i'm currently watching England and Russia play while i'm typing this. honestly, the violence before the match was probably more exciting.

that will be my day for the next few weeks. Euro 2016 in the day, Copa America at night. good times.

i didn't watch any of the NBA Finals last night. as soon as i saw that Golden State had the lead in the 4th quarter, i knew Cleveland was fucked. i'll be shocked if the series goes longer than 5 games now.

NJPW was excellent last night.

VICE was another must see episode last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

when i saw that Christina Grimmie was killed last night when i woke up this morning, i was stunned. i remember her on The Voice and was really happy that she continued on with her career after the show. to be gunned down while signing autographs for fans is a horrific way to go. of course, it was in Florida, where it seems most crazy shit tends to happen.

England just scored to go up 1-0 over Russia. holy shit, Russia just scored basically at the death to get the 1-1 draw. same old England.

a happy birthday to the first major crush of my life. my offer still stands.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. call if you need bail money.

living with pain

so i woke up this morning with pain. nothing new there. 20 minutes later, as i was checking emails, a thunderstorm graced us with its presence. arthritis won again i guess. i can accept the pain enough to function, but i certainly can't handle it enough to get any fucking joy out of life at the moment. good times.

i was saddened to hear the news that Gordie Howe died today. i never got to meet him but you could obviously tell the impact he had on a sport i truly love. rest in peace Mr. Hockey, your shift is done.

then i saw the news regarding David de Gea. when i saw he was trending on twitter, the first thought i had was who the fuck did Manchester United sell him to. instead, it was allegations from 4 years ago of him setting up a sex party that involved underage girls or rape or whatever for the U-21 Spain team. i thought the timing of this coming out was a bit fishy, especially when just yesterday he said in the Spanish papers that he is happy at United and was really happy the transfer to Real Madrid never happened last season. de Gea told the media that it is all lies and his lawyers are taking care of it. i'm interested to see what happens if he plays for Spain in Euro 2016.

but the best news i got today was when i found out one of my favorite local bands are finally putting out some new music for the first time in a decade. so, i know where my money will be going this weekend.
http://shrug.bandcamp.com/

i really didn't care for much of WWE Smackdown last night. i always enjoy the Kevin Owens spots, but other than that, this show was more of what i've seen the last few weeks. i can't wait for it to go live in July.

thankfully, Lip Sync Battle was really fucking good last night. i think i enjoy the hour long episodes much better than the normal ones.

i did enjoy both Copa America matches last night. Venezuela knocked Uruguay out of the tournament with a 1-0 victory. Mexico knocked Jamaica out by winning 2-0. tonight, Chile takes on Bolivia and Argentina takes on Panama. should be two more good ones.

i did watch France defeat Romania today 2-1 to start off the Euro 2016 tournament. the goal they won it on was amazing. the games tomorrow are Albania vs. Switzerland, Wales vs. Slovakia and England vs. Russia.

the New York Yankees finished off their sweep of the Angels by winning 6-3 last night. of course, they lost another first baseman in the win. that position is now cursed i believe. they start a series with Detroit tonight. it's Old Timer's weekend, so hopefully the winning continues. they are somehow back at .500 again.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and VICE.

i did enjoy San Jose defeating Pittsburgh last night, putting the party on hold. i think they play again on Sunday, back in San Jose.

i might watch some of Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight. i'd love to see Cleveland tie the series up at 2.

i listened to the latest podcast from Sam Roberts' Show. it was about the Stanford rape case. everyone should give it a listen. you can find it by going here:
http://notsam.com/srshow/2016/6/10/srshow-brock-turner-the-stanford-rape-case

i have to take mom to get some documents shredded tomorrow morning, so i have no clue when i'll be back on here. i think she wants to also go to Hobby Lobby and Bed Bath & Beyond tomorrow as well. great.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to be hot as fuck here (90's) and rainy as well. exactly the weather i want to be out in public in.

laundry day

i just put my last load of clothes into the washer, so now it is time to write.

i'm not sure what the fuck i have done to my stomach. it feels like i have pulled a muscle. a muscle in a place where it looks like i have no muscles. good times. sleeping was damn near impossible last night. i think i'll have to turn to the hard stuff tonight to put myself to sleep.

i didn't watch much of the Copa America last night. i did see the last 10 minutes or so of Peru vs. Ecuador. that was very entertaining. the game ended in a 2-2 draw. i saw the highlights of Brazil destroying Haiti 7-1. looks like Group B is going to come down to the final day.

tonight will be Uruguay vs. Venezuela and Mexico vs. Jamaica. should be 2 good matches.

i really enjoyed NXT Takeover: The End last night. every match was really good and there was just enough surprises that kept the night flowing great. to see Paul Ellering come out nearly blew my fucking mind. and the first steel cage match didn't disappoint.

WWE Breaking Ground: Reloaded after the Takeover event was really good. i love the behind the scenes stuff, especially when guys get the news they are getting called up.

Lucha Underground was great last night. it's getting closer to Ultima Lucha time. and it was great to see Pentagon Jr. back in action.

the New York Yankees broke out the bats last night and won 12-6. they will go for the sweep of the Angels tonight.

i didn't watch much of the NBA Finals last night. it was nice to see Cleveland actually show a fucking pulse.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Smackdown and Lip Sync Battle.

i will probably watch some of the Penguins vs. Sharks tonight, mostly because The Stanley Cup could be won tonight. part of me hopes it happens and a bigger part of me would like to see the fans of Pittsburgh get denied seeing them winning the cup at home. for some reason, i enjoy kids crying. i know, i'm an evil asshole.

tomorrow starts up the Euro 2016 tournament. i'll probably be on here after the game. i believe France plays Romania.

what a difference a day makes...

i was a little anxious before the USA vs. Costa Rica game yesterday. and then i saw the head of US Soccer come out and in vague terms say that if "we" don't start winning, the coach will be fired. i loved it. being part German, i knew exactly how the coach and team would react. now, for the first 7 minutes or so, Costa Rica had them buried in their own half. and then came the penalty kick. it was a good call and i was happy to see Clint Dempsey taking it. he buried it to put the USA up  1-0. the goal also gave him 50 international goals. he and Landon Donovan are the only USA players to reach that mark in their careers. before the end of the first half, Jermaine Jones and Bobby Wood scored to put the USA up 3-0 at half. i was hoping some of the kids would play in the second half, but i think Jurgen was giving all us fans the finger by putting in 3 veterans. in the end, the USA won 4-0. they now control their own destiny in the group.
the USA will play Paraguay on Saturday. if they win, they will advance. if they draw, they will most likely advance. if they lose, they are eliminated. and since they seem to only play good when their backs are against the wall, they are in a good spot.

Colombia defeated Paraguay 2-1 last night. they will be a tough team to knock out of this tournament. the games tonight are Brazil vs. Haiti and Ecuador vs. Peru.

the New York Yankees got some great pitching last night and some offense to go along with it. what a fucking concept. they defeated the Angels 6-3. hopefully more of that will happen tonight.

Deadliest Catch was pretty interesting last night.

Maya & Marty was pretty damn funny last night.

two victory beers allowed me to get almost 5 hours of sleep last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll be watching NXT Takeover: The End on WWE Network for most of the evening. i'm really looking forward to the steel cage match between Samoa Joe and Finn Balor.

the weather is pretty damn amazing here today. sunny and a light breeze, high in the low 70's. damn near perfect. we've actually got the windows open. so, of course, the damn grass just had to be mowed. fuck this neighborhood. time to go feed the birds and find some more annoying wind chimes.

i doubt i watch much of the NBA Finals tonight. if it is close late, i might flip to it. but i doubt it.

i did see Manchester United made their first signing of the summer.
Eric Bailly. young defender that many people think will turn into a world class centerback one day. music to my fucking ears.

that's all for me today kids. i'm going to go outside and play in traffic. as much traffic as a cul-de-sac can possibly have...

apparently 3 hours of sleep can go a long way

when i woke up this morning around 8 or so, i vaguely recalled falling asleep sometime after 5 in the morning. i guess i must have slept too much over the weekend. time to even it all out.

i really enjoyed the Copa America games yesterday. i got home in time to watch the second half of Panama vs. Bolivia. that was pretty entertaining. Panama scored late to win 2-1. that is probably the biggest win in the history of soccer in Panama. the game between Argentina and Chile did not disappoint. it was highly skilled and nasty as hell for most of the 90+ minutes. Argentina won 2-1. Chile scored at the death to make it 2-1.

today is the MUST WIN game for the USA vs. Costa Rica and Colombia vs. Paraguay. if the USA loses tonight, it will be eliminated. if that happens, i'd like to see the coach fired before the night is over.

mom decided she wanted to go to the grocery store last night. i'm telling ya, the grocery store at 7 PM on a Monday night is full of fucking zombies. she had pills to get and thankfully, we were out of there in less than 90 minutes.

the New York Yankees rediscovered the home run last night to beat the Angels 5-2. when Carlos Beltran hit the 3 run homer to give them the lead in the 8th (they hit two solo homers in the 7th), that was the first 3 run homer the Yankees had hit since April. that's a good sign that this offense fucking sucks. they play again tonight. it's HOPE week at the stadium, so hopefully that means more magic.

i did watch all of season 2 of Swerved last night on WWE Network. some of the pranks were really fucking funny. or maybe i was delirious at 3 in the morning.

Monday Night Raw was ok last night. i enjoyed a few of the matches, but i was watching it right before going to bed. i think the shows will get much more interesting after the brand split happens.

i didn't watch much of the Penguins victory over San Jose last night. they can win the Cup on Thursday at home. a part of me hopes they do so the summer hockey silly season can fucking begin. the New York Rangers have a ton of moves they have to make.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Deadliest Catch and Maya & Marty.

i have two toilets to go clean and i need to do the trash next door as well. so, that's pretty much all for me today. i'm sure a crash will happen at some point, hopefully sometime after the USA wins tonight.

back to the grind

i guess the joy of not sleeping much is the days simply bleed together and a Monday isn't a big fucking deal because it just feels like any other day.

i heard back from Shot Glass Journal on my poetry submission from back in February. they have decided to pass on the 5 poems i sent. oh well. welcome to the life of a poet. good news on 6 poems the day before and bad news on 5 today. if i was an optimist, i would say well, at least i'm ahead. but i'm not.

the New York Yankees pissed away more good pitching yesterday by leaving a small village on base. after a rain delay, the Orioles got the only big hit of the game and that was the difference. a 3-1 loss that gave them a losing road trip. of course, if they would have won, they only would have been 5-5 on the trip. i'm not one to celebrate mediocrity. they start a home stand tonight against the Angels.

i didn't watch any of the NBA game last night. judging from the highlights, i didn't miss much.

the Copa America yesterday was much better than the day before. Venezuela upset Jamaica 1-0. and Mexico beat Uruguay 3-1 in a crazy fucking game. i felt bad for Uruguay. they played the wrong national anthem for them before the game. Uruguay scored the first goal for Mexico. and then they got a guy sent off before the end of the first half. they showed amazing character getting the game back even at 1. but, as much as i hate to say this, i think Mexico is probably the team to beat in the tournament. they are fucking loaded.

the games tonight are Panama vs. Bolivia and then the main event, Argentina vs. Chile. i might even have to turn off wrestling to watch that one.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. House of Lies was great. i can't wait to see what happens in the series finale next week. Silicon Valley was excellent. Veep was fucking funny. Penny Dreadful was great and had a damn good ending once again. and finally, Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

tonight will be a clusterfuck of sorts on television. i'll be bouncing between Monday Night Raw, the Copa America games, game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final and season 2 of Swerved on WWE Network.

the weather is supposed to be decent for the next few days. i figure maybe i'll work in a haircut and a shower if i don't feel too miserable. of course, mom said it's supposed to be in the 90's by the weekend. joy. summer is not made for fat people.

i've been on a buying spree on iTunes here lately. not sure why either.

fancy meeting you here...

not a bad start to my Sunday morning... nearly 5 hours of sleep, a solid shit, 4 poems published and 2 more accepted for publication, the morning paper wasn't wet and the sun was out.

i got some pretty good naps yesterday watching the Copa America. the USA got the best case scenario with the Costa Rica. vs. Paraguay match. a 0-0 draw and Costa Rica's best defender got a red card, so he'll miss the game against the USA on Tuesday. i felt bad for Haiti as they had a glorious chance to draw against Peru at the death and blew it. and then there was Brazil vs. Ecuador. Ecuador got fucking robbed of a goal that should have won them the game. and good god, Brazil acted like they have no clue how to go forward without Neymar, who was up in the press boxes with Justin Bieber of all people.

today is Jamaica vs. Venezuela and Mexico vs. Uruguay. hopefully there will be more goal scoring than yesterday.

ROH was amazing last night. a really fun hour of pro wrestling.

Austin City Limits was really good last night as well.

the New York Yankees tried their hardest to piss away a 7-0 lead last night but eventually held on to win 8-6. they will go for the series win in Baltimore this afternoon.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Silicon Valley, Veep, Last Week Tonight, House of Lies and Penny Dreadful.

we got over an inch of rain yesterday. good thing i slept because my body was aching. we're supposed to get more rain today.

i was happy to see San Jose won in OT last night in game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. a fitting ending for waiting 25 years to see that big of a game in San Jose.

i might watch some of game 2 of the NBA Finals tonight. hopefully Cleveland will win so it will be a compelling series. if Golden State wins, i don't think Cleveland has a chance to win the championship.

that's all for me today kids. i hope your Saturday was great. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

goodbye to the greatest...

when i got the news that Muhammad Ali had died, i was not shocked. it was more amazement that he lasted as long as he did. i'm not old enough to have seen his best boxing in person but i did go back and watch all the big time fights he had while Mike Tyson was the champ. i completely understood why everyone in the generations before me laughed anytime Tyson got mentioned as the greatest of all-time. i think what taught me the most about Ali was the 1996 Olympics. he didn't have to say a word. all he had to do was appear. you know you have accomplished something in life when you don't have to say a damn word and people bow to your greatness. Parkinson's is a horrible disease. hopefully his death will spark a much needed breakthrough in curing the damn thing. rest in peace Champ, you have more than earned that.

NJPW was excellent last night. i really enjoyed all of the matches.

VICE was great last night. yet another episode i wish everyone in this country would get the chance to watch.

team USA lost 2-0 to Colombia last night in the start of the Copa America tournament. i laughed when i heard that Jurgen said after the game that the USA was even with them for the entire game. sure, we had the ball more and had more shots (they had more on goal) but where it counted, you know, in scoring, we didn't come close. the play in the final third was horrific. and once again, the 2 players that should be starting, Pulisic and Nagbe didn't come on until the 66th minute. maybe one day, he'll learn.

the New York Yankees pissed away a lead last night and ended up losing 6-5. i'm sure they will invent a new way to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory tonight.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH and Austin City Limits.

i figure i'll be in and out of the Copa America matches today. i am looking forward to watching Brazil play tonight against Ecuador.

game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final is tonight. i'll probably check out some of that as it will be in San Jose.

it's supposed to rain on and off all weekend here. so the symphony of lawnmowers will start on Monday i guess.

mom wanted to wait to do the grocery shopping today. i asked what time during the rain did she want to do it. so we went last night. we didn't have much to get, so we went to the local grocery store in town. it amazes me how white this town is at times. it's fucking sad to be quite honest.

that's all for me kids. i hope your Saturday is a great one. call if you need bail money.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

hello to the summer of expectations...

tonight is the beginning of the Copa America. Colombia vs. USA. i really want the boys to do well in this tournament but this opening game is a brutal one. honestly, if they can get a draw against Colombia i will be fucking thrilled. this is one of my favorite soccer tournaments. and considering this is the first time it is being played in the USA, it should be fun to watch. so most of my blog posts in the next month or so will be around soccer matches. considering the Euro 2016 starts soon as well, it's going to be a crazy time.

the New York Yankees actually won last night, 5-4. the bullpen tried its hardest to give the game away, but Detroit ran out of gas in the 9th. bases loaded and no outs and the Yankees only gave up one run. thank god. that victory beer tasted so good. the boys play in Baltimore tonight. hopefully the pitching will be good because the Orioles have been crushing the ball here lately.

WWE Smackdown was really good last night, much better than Raw was.

Lip Sync Battle was fucking hilarious last night.

i didn't watch much of the basketball game last night. i think Cleveland found out the hard way that playing in the Eastern Conference does not get them ready for the finals at all.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and VICE.

i had a horrible day yesterday. on top of the headache and the inch of rain we got, i spent most of the day on the toilet. i didn't know it was possible for me to have that much shit in me. and i know it was a lot of shit as i haven't gone once today. i can't ever remember a time in my life of being constipated. good times.

i'll probably be on here early tomorrow. i believe mom and i are going to knock out the grocery shopping later today, so hopefully i will be on here with good news from tonight.

or it will be the painful reality that the national team is still light years behind the rest of the world. god i hope that isn't true.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

a splitting headache

today was one of those days that i wish my mother wouldn't have sold off the guns. we got some rain last night and i suppose, it's possible that our neighbor's yard might have grown 1/8 of an inch since he last cut it. sure enough, at 10 this morning, he's mowing the grass. if that's not grounds for shooting someone, i'm not sure what is.

by this afternoon, my headache was at the point where i just had to get into bed and wish for death. my luck i'm developing migraines at 40. i suppose enjoying life simply wasn't in the cards for me.

remember when the New York Yankees were at .500 and i was happy that the team was starting to show signs of life? yeah, neither do i. they have only won 1 game since then and got swept by Toronto last night. the score was 7-0. it never felt that close. they play a make up game in Detroit tonight. i won't bother to watch.

NXT was really good last night. i thought it did a decent job setting up the live Takeover event next week.

Lucha Underground was good last night as well. the match between Cage and Mantanza was off the charts great.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Smackdown and Lip Sync Battle.

i did watch the 3rd period and OT last night of the hockey game. i was happy to see San Jose finally score. i wasn't happy to see the Penguins go up 2-0 in the series. but, a series isn't a series until the home team loses. now they go to San Jose.

tonight is game 1 of the NBA Finals. it should be a really interesting one since Cleveland is healthy, unlike last season.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade last night and this morning. i'll put the links in the music section.

that's about all my head can take today. until tomorrow children.

the usual aches and pains

today was one of those days that i fell into the cycle of the aches and pains that potential pop up showers always bring when around. the humidity the last few days has been fucking unbearable. thank god the air conditioning works.

i think i know which poem i will be doing for my next SoundCloud recording. look for that in the next day or so.

Deadliest Catch last night was pretty interesting. there's no way i could do that job in the winter.

i also watched Maya & Marty last night. it was much better than i expected.

the New York Yankees wasted some more good starting pitching last night, losing 4-1. the fucking offense is going m.i.a. once again. fucking figures. they will try to avoid the sweep tonight.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT on WWE Network later tonight.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. the interview with Rey Mysterio was excellent.
you can check it out by going here: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/not-sam/sam-roberts-wrestling-podcast?refid=stpr

i watched W. Kamau Bell's stand up special, Semi-Prominent Negro, last night on Showtime. very fucking funny.

that's all for me today kids. i hope this finds you with something cold to drink or shoot between the eyes.
