not what i was expecting...

so, i got to the Toyota dealership on time, amazingly. i'm not a morning person anymore. after about 45 minutes, they told me what was up. the check engine light was not about the hose. i guess the thermostat is shot. and a speed censor needs replaced. they didn't have all the parts there, of course. so, at first they wanted me to just leave it and they'd get me a rental, etc. but, i wasn't interested in that since my back is being an asshole these days. so, i get to take the Highlander back on November 15th and they will fix it then. all in all, it should be (hopefully) less than $700 for everything. i already paid over $150 of that today. so, that was my morning.

i hope everyone has voted. if you have voted for the criminal, i'm not really interested in your thoughts or opinions. trust me, i do understand voting for the lesser of two evils. and sure, if i was a billionaire, i probably wouldn't want to pay taxes. but i'm not, and i vote accordingly. plus, given my years of history studying Russian propaganda, etc, it is real simple to pick up on it in the political ads, especially on the right. it is always about fear and a thinly veiled message of hate and discord. sadly, Ohio is so far to the fucking right now, there is no damn reason to watch election results tonight. i can already tell you what will happen. Trump will declare himself the winner tonight and warn that if the results change by morning, which they will, the fix is in and it was rigged. and then we get the fucking circus again, except he won't be doing this from the oval office this time. and honestly, he told everyone the plan the other day when he said he never should have left in 2020. what the fuck do you think he is planning this time? i honestly thought we fought a fucking revolution so we wouldn't have kings and queens here. or maybe the history i learned isn't what is taught these days.

ok, enough fucking politics...

a little cold sunshine...

i got a nice surprise this morning from my mother and sister. they got me a new mouse for my computer, one specifically for people with arthritis; carpal tunnel, etc. so far, holy fucking shit, what a difference. the big test comes tomorrow when i send the poems out. if it works like it should, about 500 lbs. of stress is out of my life.

physical therapy went well today. my therapist said i am stronger than when i started. i have two more appointments and then i will be done.

the New York Rangers fell into the trap last night of forgetting games are not played on paper. they dominated the first 11 minutes of the game and then had their asses handed to them, losing to Ottawa, 6-2.

The Voice was pretty good last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Total Divas, WWE Backstage, The Jim Jefferies Show, the season finale of Mayans M.C. and Mr. Mercedes.

i do plan on watching some of the college basketball games tonight. Duke plays Kansas and Michigan St. takes on Kentucky. that's a good way to start the season.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i send the poems out. i'm hoping i will be in a good mood.

i need to get the trash picked up here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

until tomorrow...

my mother believes i will die an early death...

she tells me this while watching me react to the New Orleans Saints game yesterday. i figure a heart attack is certainly not out of the realm of possibilities. i don't expect the Saints to be the ones to do it to me though. although, they certainly tried yesterday.

when the Saints were up 35-14, i was cautiously optimistic. now, anyone who knows me, knows optimism is a foreign fucking concept in my life. sure enough, the Rams mounted a furious comeback and eventually tied the game at 35. i'm a guy who wears his emotions on his sleeves. and like the old Barenaked Ladies song, i'm often losing my shirt. thankfully, the Saints scored the next 10 points to win the game 45-35. easily, the best game of the day. now, i hope the Saints don't have the letdown when they play next at the Bengals.

well, the Sacramento Kings fell back to earth yesterday, losing in Milwaukee 144-109. ouch.

the New York Rangers won last night over Buffalo, 3-1. i think they are finally figuring out what the new coach wants. it also helps that The King is back to being The King again.

the season finale of The Deuce last night was excellent.

Camping was pretty good last night.

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.

Axios showed just how fucking stupid the asshole that runs this country truly is.

Our Cartoon President was fucking hilarious last night.

Ray Donovan was very good last night.

Kidding was dark and brilliant as usual last night, especially the fucking ending. i can't wait for the season finale next week.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the trip to the bank was uneventful this afternoon. after that, i had to go to the drugstore to pick up some things for mom. the only thing i hate about going out in the afternoon is getting stuck behind a school bus.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know if i get my ass in gear tonight, i will be sending out poems in the morning (at least in theory). so, if that does happen, i'll be on here after i get that done.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. now, get your ass out there and vote tomorrow.

a chilly start to the weekend

it actually felt a bit chilly when i went out to get the newspaper this morning. it's about fucking time.

the Dayton Flyers looked a little anxious last night, while Findlay, a division II school, looked like the team picked by many to win so many things this season. Dayton couldn't put the ball in the ocean for most of the first half. Findlay was draining shots from all over the court. Dayton didn't take the lead in the game until there was 7 minutes left in the second half. at least all the players that should be dominant for the Flyers were in the second half. Dayton also played without Kendall Pollard, who will hopefully play a large role this season. Dayton won 76-69. they start the regular season next Friday at home against Austin Peay.

i got home from the game in time to watch Real Time with Bill Maher. the interview with the President was excellent and the show reminded me just how fucking much i want this election to be over.

NJPW was excellent last night.

Vice News Tonight had another excellent week.

One & Done: Ben Simmons was very good last night. i think it was a very accurate portrayal of what happens when you make kids go to college when they don't want to. and i understand the NCAA's gripe against the NBA rule, but why don't colleges actually teach these kids that are only staying for at most 2 semesters some shit they could actually use? you know, like how to handle money, credit cards, mortgages, general business acumen, shit that they will need in a few months. oh, that's right, why the fuck would you want to teach someone with brown skin skills like that.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

i will be watching Ohio State take on Nebraska tonight. it should be another tough game for the Buckeyes.

i'll probably also watch some of Alabama vs. LSU.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Boston. hopefully they can keep the winning streak going.

i finally got a chance to listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast. i highly recommend checking out his interview with Sasha Banks. you can find the podcast by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2016/11/3/wrestling-podcast-106-sasha-banks

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade this morning. i'll post the link below in the music section.

i got contacted this morning on Google+ by an actual human and not a scam artist. let's just say my imagination is going to have a great weekend.

i'll probably get some cleaning done around the house today. lord knows i need to vacuum, clean the toilets and help mom with her laundry.

i'll be on here tomorrow most likely after Manchester United plays. the New Orleans Saints don't play until the late games start, so i'll have a nice little window to get the blog done. or, if i get a wild hair up my ass, i'll do it early in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.
