laundry day, take 2...

so, mom decided she was going to do her laundry yesterday. and then, after watching it sit there for hours and hours, i asked her if she wanted my help doing her laundry. she asked why and i said i would like to do my laundry this weekend and i know if i wait on you to finish yours, i'll get to do mine on Thursday or Friday. so, i did her 3 loads last night. and now, as soon as i get this done, i'll do my 3 loads of laundry.

i think it was just hot enough in the house last night, and i had just enough alcohol in me, that given my back pain, i more or less just passed out in my massage chair. i woke up this morning at 5:15. the front door was still open and ESPN was still on. in hindsight, i should have just stayed in the chair. i got 2 lousy hours of sleep in my bed. god i just love having a pinched nerve.

i finally saw The Batman last night. i really enjoyed it. probably my second favorite Batman movie, only behind The Dark Knight. i thought Paul Dano was magnificent as the Riddler. he was so fucking creepy, it was great.

the Yankees won yesterday against Cleveland, 5-4. of course, everyone is talking about the Yankees fans throwing beer and shit at the Cleveland players. i can't defend the Yankees fans that did that. all i will say is the Cleveland player that climbed the fence to confront the Yankees fans in left field was stupid as fuck to do that. i am old enough to know when you dare incite a rabid fan base, you are asking for it. he should be happy this isn't the 70's and 80's or the beer would have been batteries, etc. the Yankees go for the sweep today. hopefully they will get it without any incidents.

the New York Rangers lost to Boston yesterday, 3-1. that probably means they are going to finish second in the division. they will at least have home ice for the first round, most likely against the Penguins.

the calm in the storm...

i did get up in time for the Manchester United match this morning. when United got down 2-0, i turned it off. i don't need that kind of stress in my life. i did see that CR7 scored to make it 2-1. then Bruno missed a penalty in the second half (i'm not sure why Cristiano wasn't taking that) that could have made it 2-2. as usual, Arsenal scored again to make it 3-1, which was the final. so, i doubt that United will finish in the top 4 this season, hell, might as well make it the top 5. so, no European games next year, they better win something next season (FA Cup, League Cup, Premier League) since they won't have the excuse of needing to rest players, etc.

so, instead of watching the rest of the United game, i finally got some poetry work done. i sent out 9 poems this morning; 4 to Dumpster Fire Press and 5 to Synchronized Chaos. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

the New York Yankees won last night against Cleveland, 4-1. Aaron Judge finally came to life and hit 2 home runs last night. hopefully, they will win again today.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was excellent last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

A Black Lady Sketch Show was fucking great last night.

the New York Rangers play this afternoon at Boston. this is their last road game of the regular season. i'd love to see them win again today.

i'm sure i'll watch some other sports today while try to catch up on some naps.

i also need to finally get my laundry done today. so, yeah, that's the rest of this day. if i get a wild hair up my ass, i may put out a new SoundCloud recording late tonight.

that's all for me kids.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.
