starting to feel like summer...

it was 78 degrees in the house last night. i told mom, i'm going to turn on the air conditioner. she reluctantly said ok. i'm assuming that was the reason i actually got more than 5 hours of sleep last night. and also why i wasn't up before the Manchester United game started.

Manchester United won 2-0 at Brighton today. they will have to beat Manchester City next weekend in the FA Cup final to be able to play in Europe next season.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

the New York Yankees won yesterday at home against the White Sox, 6-1. they will go for the sweep today. it is currently 2-2 in the 4th inning.

i completely forgot The Preakness Stakes was on yesterday.

AEW Collision and AEW Rampage were both good last night.

the season finale of Saturday Night Live was very good last night.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the finale of A Gentleman in Moscow, The Chi, The Sympathizer, The Jinx Part 2 and Last Week Tonight.

there are 2 Game 7's today in the NBA playoffs. Pacers at Knicks and Timberwolves at Nuggets.

the NHL playoffs are off tonight.

i'm sure i will watch some of those basketball games today.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

the New York Rangers played a pretty good Game 1 last night. of course, it wasn't good enough. the Rangers lost at Carolina, 2-1 in OT. the winning goal came off a Rangers defenseman and went in. fuck me. hopefully, the Rangers can win Game 2 Friday night.

the Battle of Alberta didn't disappoint last night. Calgary won over Edmonton, 9-6.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

the season finale of The Masked Singer was good last night.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:

back on the horse

watched team USA play Russia to a 2-2 draw that they totally didn't deserve. if it wasn't for Tim Howard, the Russians would have scored 5 or 6 goals. i am happy for Michael Bradley though. he is really coming into his own and hopefully can be the midfielder this team has needed for years. the defense played like absolute shit once again. that has to get better or the Gold Cup and World Cup qualifying will be gut wrenching in 2013.

seeing that it was International Friendly day in soccer around the world, most people interested will be talking about the bicycle kick goal from 35 yards out in the Sweden vs. England friendly. some are calling it the best goal they have ever seen. it's close, but i doubt think i have ever seen a goal as good as the one Wayne Rooney scored against Manchester City a couple of seasons ago. in a game that mattered. against your in city rivals. PURE FUCKING BRILLIANCE. look it up on the internet one day. you won't be disappointed.

sat down today and realized i have written 2 poems in the last two months. so, in order to change that, i went to my room, put on some tunes and forced myself to write. one hour later and i'm typing up 8 poems, a few true gems as well. i'm always a bit leery of forcing creativity but i'm getting better at it. i know i have to combat the lazy fuck inside of me.

i will hopefully get a couple of submissions out before turkey day.

check out episode #34 of The Sam Roberts Show Online. especially if you need a good laugh. i highly recommend it. it can be found at iTunes, Stitcher, and at notsam.com. help him out if you can as well. Sam totally deserves to be heard by many more people.

home alone tonight. not sure if dinner will be just beer or some food as well. i figure if i get drunk enough, i'll break out the watercolors.

until we meet again my friends.
