to all the veterans out there, thank you for your service.
you could probably assume by the time this blog is going out, i didn't go to the Dayton Flyers game tonight. i think it is just a head cold. hopefully, i will get rid of it by the weekend.
Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.
the New York Rangers won at Detroit last night, 8-2. they scored 6 goals in the 3rd period. that was their highest output on the road in 30 years. good way to start off the dad's trip.
the USWNT lost to Germany last night, 2-1. that's 3 losses in a row, a first for them team in 30 some years.
NJPW was really good last night.
Young Sheldon was pretty funny last night.
the series finale of Atlanta was fucking great last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage, Real Time with Bill Maher, Back on the Record with Bob Costas and Young Rock. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
i did listen to episode 421 of Notsam Wrestling today. you can hear that by going here:
i won't many any guarantees when i will be on here tomorrow. i know Ohio State plays at home against Indiana tomorrow at noon. if i wake up and suddenly feel great, i might get the blog done before that. but if i had to guess, don't count on it.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. there's a chance we will get some snow flurries this weekend. just great, an early start to winter.
until tomorrow kids.

i have always had a very complicated relationship with this day. i have had many of my aunts tell me my father was a completely different person by the time he came home from Vietnam. so, part of me has always hated war as it robbed me from every really knowing my father. part of me will always be thankful for the men and women that die for whatever the fuck anyone thinks freedom is anymore. part of me knows all of this shit is just capitalism run amok. so, i always try to keep in mind the families on this day. the ones who actually had to go through hell because our government doesn't give two shits about anyone that comes back alive. and living in Ohio, not far away from every other military in the country, it is a constant fucking reminder. it has been raining all day long it seems. sadly, it seems fucking appropriate.
Vice News Tonight had an amazing two shows this week.
AEW was really good last night.
The Masked Singer was excellent last night.
Alter Ego was good last night.
Batwoman was fucking nuts last night.
here are your NBA highlights from last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, United States of Al, B Positive, Cake and Desus & Mero. i watched NXT UK this afternoon on Peacock. it was good.
i will probably watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Ravens and Dolphins.
it is supposed to get cold tonight and there is a chance of snow this weekend. oh goody. i guess the furnace goes back on tonight.
i will probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon. i think i have to take mom to get some blood work done tomorrow. and i probably need to go to Meijer to get a few things we're running low on.
i hope all the veterans had a great day and i wish you a wonderful evening.

happy veterans day to all the men and women that served this country. hopefully, you took advantage of all the free shit today and are enjoying it. thank you for your service.
the grocery stores weren't bad to start out. by the end, i could tell people are back to hoarding shit. i'm going to have to go out again sometime in the next few days on the hunt for toilet paper. joy.
i did find some baseball cards and football cards today. hell, i even found some WWE Topps Chrome cards today. amazingly, i haven't opened anything up yet. so, i'll let everyone know tomorrow if i got something really good.
i wrote 10 poems last night. i typed them up and i think they are pretty good. that's 3 more poems than i wrote in the entire month of October.
The Voice was pretty good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Masked Singer, I Can See Your Voice, NXT and AEW.
i think the plumber is supposed to be here tomorrow to fix the toilet in our other bathroom. i'm hoping all that needs to be done is replacing a part and that's it.
i know i'll be sending poems out in the next day or so. hopefully, i'll squeeze a few more out and have a big submission going out before Thanksgiving gets here.
that's all for me kids. the internet here has been slower than shit, and i'm way behind on my day.

happy veteran's day to all the veteran's out there.
Sunday was a day that started off well and then soon turned to shit.
Manchester United won 3-1. little did i know, that would be the highlight of my day.
the New York Rangers lost to the Florida Panthers in the shootout, 6-5. this was a crazy ass game that if i wasn't a fan of either team, i probably would have enjoyed more.
the New Orleans Saints lost to Atlanta yesterday, 26-9. that left a bitter fucking taste in my mouth. all i can hope is the team makes it the wake up call for the rest of the season.
Axios was excellent last night.
Watchmen was great last night.
Mrs. Fletcher was very good last night.
Silicon Valley was hilarious last night.
Last Week Tonight was fucking BRILLIANT as usual.
Shameless was excellent last night.
Dublin Murders was very good last night. i think i will really enjoy the series.
Batwoman was good last night.
Seattle defeated Toronto 3-1 to win the MLS Cup.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Desus & Mero. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
thankfully, it didn't start to snow today until we got home from mom's physical therapy. i wrote 7 poems while she was there. i typed those up this afternoon. i should have enough to get another submission out before Thanksgiving.
earlier today i went and got the pills at the pharmacy. mom was pretty pissed since she called them in on Thursday and they just got it filled today when she called to bitch about it. i made sure to fill up the Highlander as well as who knows how much fucking snow we're actually going to get.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after my last physical therapy session.
i'm off to go do my exercises and ice down my back before the shows start tonight.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
until tomorrow kids...

to everyone who has served this nation, died in battle, wounded, scarred mentally for your entire lives, etc., happy Veteran's Day. i heard a veteran say last night that never forget means more to a veteran than thanks for your service. so, never forget.
yesterday was one of those days where i laugh that i'm still alive in 2018.
Ohio State defeated Michigan St. yesterday in a god awful game. as soon as i saw Gus Johnson was calling the game, i knew some crazy shit was going to happen. sure enough, Ohio State's punter was easily the best player in the game. it was like the team turned back the clock a decade. and i love that Michigan St. talked all this shit this past week about revenge and could only score 6 points. Ohio State won 26-6.
the Dayton Flyers destroyed Coppin State last night, 76-46. i went to the game alone and honestly, might have said 5 words the entire time i was there. the game was really fucking boring. the conversations around me were as boring. hell, the only excitement for me was the old white woman next to me that had her ass up against my leg for the entire first half. most action i've got in years.
the New York Rangers won in Columbus last night, 5-4 in a shootout. the Rangers have got points in 6 straight games. that's much better than i was fearing this season would start.
Shut Up and Dribble was excellent last night. it went over the LA riots and really focused on Michael Jordan's inaction during the time, and how Craig Hodges and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf got blackballed out of the league for voicing their concerns. i lived through all of this and remember it way too well.
Saturday Night Live was very funny last night.
Austin City Limits was excellent last night.
ROH was really good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Camping, Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan and the season finale of Kidding.
Manchester United plays Manchester City today. if United wins, not only will i be pleasantly shocked, i will be drunk for the rest of the weekend.
the New Orleans Saints play today down the road from me against the Bengals. hopefully, the Saints will keep their winning streak going today.
the muse and i had a fascinating conversation last night that lasted until 4 in the morning. that certainly brought back some memories.
i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know most things will be closed to observe Veteran's Day. and, i want to get some writing done. so, probably late afternoon maybe, maybe sooner.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

first off, Happy Veteran's Day to all of you who served this country. maybe one day this country will show you the respect you deserve. don't hold your breath though.
my back was killing me last night at the game. i couldn't get it loose for anything. so, imagine a miserable guy sitting next to a guy in his 50's acting like a jackass and saying whatever the fuck he wants because he believes the first amendment doesn't have any consequences. at one point during the game, i leaned over to my mother and said, this is how it's going to go this season. the first time he spills a beer on me, i'll let him know that's the one time he gets. the next will get him killed. she laughed. he apologized to all of us later in the second half, saying he just gets so passionate about basketball. Trump's America, now every jackass feels welcome in public. great.
as for the game, when Dayton held Ball State scoreless for the first 6:15 of the game, i was mildly surprised. Dayton of course took their foot off the gas, and most of that 14-0 advantage was gone by halftime. the second half was a game of runs. when it got down to the nitty gritty, Dayton was down by 1 with 1.9 seconds to play. Anthony Grant had them run a play that i have seen used my most elementary school teams in the past. lob it up to the big guy and let him shoot. holy shit, it worked. Josh Cunningham scored the winning shot at the buzzer and Dayton defeated Ball State 78-77. the last time Dayton won their opener at the buzzer, they went to the Elite 8. i wouldn't mind seeing that again. to win a game like that while missing a player (Matej Svoboda, migraines) and against a team that is good enough to win their conference this season; especially given how young Dayton is, they should feel ready for a great season. they next will play Hofstra in the Charleston Classic.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
NJPW was excellent last night.
the season finale of Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus was excellent last night. i really hope this has many more seasons to come.
Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH, Austin City Limits, The LEGO Batman Movie and Foo Fighters - Landmarks Live in Concert.
Ohio State plays here in a few minutes against Michigan State. if Ohio State wants any chance to play for any kind of title this season, today is a MUST win.
the New York Rangers play at home today against Edmonton. i'd love to see the Rangers keep their winning streak going.
congrats to my old high school, Trotwood, for their victory over Dunbar last night, 64-26. they next will play CJ for the regional title. the dream for another state title in football is still alive.
my sister might show up here later today. thankfully, the t-shirt i got her for Christmas showed up yesterday.
that's all for me kids. i'm off to go watch some sports while icing down a bad back on a body riddled with arthritis. did i mention it was like 20 degrees when i went out to get the paper this morning? talk about some slow fucking steps in the cold.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

my uncle had a port put in today. i doubt he knows, but this will make getting chemo way fucking easier. hopefully, he did well. mom hasn't let me know yet.
happy veteran's day to everyone that is or has served. i want to also mention their families who often go through as much shit as the veterans do themselves. all of you deserve more than a day, but... we all know the hypocrisy of this glorious country of ours.
the New York Rangers took care of Carolina last night, 3-0. it was nice to see The King stand on his head and the boys back him up for a change.
The Voice was really good last night. two performances were easily the best of the night:
i have no clue who is going to get cut tonight. it should be a show full of drama.
Scream Queens was excellent last night. something is still sexy with Jamie Lee Curtis after all these years. The Muppets was really funny last night as well.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, American Horror Story and You're The Worst. i'll be watching NXT and probably a few other shows on WWE Network tonight.
the New York Yankees made a couple of trades today that obviously say that something bigger is coming in the next few days. trading the backup catcher for a corner outfielder probably means that Brett Gardner is going to be elsewhere next season.
i put out the new solar lights and bird feeders today as the sun actually made a fucking appearance. one step closer to the sophisticated white trash utopia.
that's all for me kids. i have some dishes to put away and i really need to go ice down my back. i've been sitting in this chair for way too long. good times.
i hope everyone enjoys a tall glass of something strong and whatever else you need to get you through to the other side.
