68 with a bit of a breeze

the weather today was close to perfect. of course, my strained muscle in my rib cage was barking up a storm and my big toe on my right foot was encased in liquid band-aid so it would stop bleeding. 40 years old and falling apart. good times.

i had to drive mom around today to a few different places. here lately, she's been feeling good enough to drive herself. but today, her cataracts started fucking with her. i imagine my permanent job of chauffeur is not that far away.

after we went to get some boxes of pamphlets she needed for work, we went out to lunch. after lunch, she needed to get her blood drawn. when she came out, i told her what i love about these places. i get to see what i missed out on by not becoming a junkie. after that, we went to Tractor Supply to get a Shepherd's hook for the front yard. mom has some flowers in a hanging pot. and then we went to the grocery store. amazingly, we were all done in under a span of 4 hours. mom was surprised. i told her be thankful i don't like people or this shit would take forever.

we had a couple storms roll through last night. they didn't fuck with the satellite too much, so i got to see just about everything i wanted.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty fucking funny last night. WWE Smackdown was good. i think everything is shaping up nicely for the next ppv. Lip Sync Battle was pretty hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be nothing. everything that i watch on Fridays seems to be a rerun tonight. i guess Friday the 13th still means something to someone.

the New York Yankees got some hitting from unlikely sources last night and defeated Kansas City 7-3 last night. that gives them their second straight series win. they start a tough series tonight against the Chicago White Sox. if they can win this series, i'll really start to believe they have turned the corner.

Game 7 last night between Nashville and San Jose was a joke. San Jose won 5-0. so the conference finals are set. St. Louis vs. San Jose and Pittsburgh vs. Tampa Bay. well, i know the league wants the Penguins to win so they can have that asshole Cindy Crosby's face everywhere. so, i'll be rooting for anyone else. i believe Game 1 between the Lightning and Penguins starts tonight.

i listened to the latest Sam Roberts' Show podcast this morning.
you can listen to it by going here: http://notsam.com/srshow/2016/5/13/srshow-andrew-schulz

i guess we're supposed to have a cold front come through as they are saying the lows tomorrow night could be in the upper 30's. great, that will do wonders for my arthritis.

i hope everyone has enjoyed their Friday the 13th. since 13 is my lucky number, today is one of those i look forward to.

i got a message on LinkedIn from a woman in Australia that is looking for some poems for her online magazine. so, you know what i'll be doing this weekend.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

tonight's the night...

Game 7

any sports fan can tell you any great moment they can remember from a Game 7. but, a Game 7 at Madison Square Garden, means just a little more. so, tonight, my mind will be completely on this:

the dead dad poems came to me last night. i wrote 3 of them so far. i haven't typed them up. i want to wait to do that so i'm not typing or editing with any emotion involved. that will be tough given what's in the poems.

mom decided she wanted to go to the grocery store today. of course, she wasn't feeling well, so she wanted to go to the one in town. this place is about as dead as you can imagine a local grocery store to be on a Wednesday at 2 PM. i don't think i'll get any poems out of that trip. though, the woman in the next checkout lane that forgot her money may prove me wrong.

the New York Yankees got decent pitching last night but the offense pissed away too many chances in a 4-2 loss. they play again tonight down in that dump in Tampa.

The Voice went as i expected last night. as much as i like India, she should have been gone 3 weeks ago. out of the final 4, i'm rooting for Meghan but i do think Sawyer will win.

the season finale of Undateable was good. the show is just snarky enough that it truly makes me laugh.

i caught up on Deadliest Catch this morning. i can't believe that some of the boats actually fished during that typhoon. that's fucking nuts.

here's some late night laughs for you:

tonight on the DVR will be Lucha Underground. at some point i will flip over to the WWE Network to watch NXT.

the winner of Game 7 tonight plays Tampa. the Rangers didn't do good against Tampa this season and have never beaten their goalie. i'm doing my best to keep that shit out of my mind while i'm watching tonight. if the Rangers win, i'll be fucking pumped beyond belief. if they lose, this house will be like a damn morgue.

today's a good day for this:

not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. all depends on how high or low i get with tonight's game. plus, i'll probably be typing up some poems as well.

hope this finds everyone with a pulse.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, lover letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

it all comes down to this

there are no words that mean more to a sports fan than Game 7. it's life or death. win or go home. as a fanatic that lives and dies with each game, tonight is a big one. the New York Rangers have the chance to do something they have never done before, two things actually. they have never come back from being down 3-1 in a series to win. and they have never defeated the Penguins in the playoffs. and even with the NHL assigning the same shitty officials from game 6 for this game tonight, i have a good feeling about it. and there is nothing i would like to see more than watching that crybaby pussy Sidney Crosby skate off a fucking loser once again and be out of the playoffs. game starts at 7.

my health is starting to take a turn for the better, i guess. my first shit of the day wasn't dark green. it was a lighter shade, so hopefully i'm rounding toward brown. no sprints to the toilet, so maybe whatever the fuck that was causing that has moved on.

the Yankees last night blew two different 3 run leads to lose to the fucking Mets 9-7. needless to say, i won't bother with them tonight.

Monday Night Raw was good but was overshadowed by the news that Daniel Bryan has to have neck surgery. they haven't stripped him of the title yet, so that makes me believe that the company hopes that it won't be long. it totally sucks as he has busted his ass so hard to get to this spot only to have this happen. if he is out long, hopefully this forces the company to start pushing some new guys. PLEASE.

The Voice was ok last night. i honestly only watched snippets of the performances. if i had it my way, the final 3 would be Josh, Jake, and Kristen.

i'm going to try to fit in some of The Voice tonight as well as Deadliest Catch, but tonight is all about Game 7.

i did catch the last few minutes of LeBron's 49 points last night. i love that he was pissed that he didn't get to 50.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i could be so damn happy that i drink myself to oblivion tonight. or i could be so damn sad or mad that i start shaving off the playoff beard and don't stop. i'll guess sometime in the afternoon, but who knows.

congrats to Rio on 12 great years at Manchester United. you will be missed.

i'm off to go get my mind ready. worked up a special batch of crazy at iTunes for tonight's game. you'll see that below. until tomorrow my enemies...
