so, i'm still in disbelief after the NFL game last night. with my mom being a huge Jets fan, and so is the muse, i kind of have no choice but to watch the Jets as well. i couldn't believe when Aaron Rodgers got hurt 4 snaps into the season. it was learned this morning that he tore his Achilles tendon. when the Bills got up by 10, i told mom anytime she wanted me to change the channel i would. so, we started watching Monday Night Raw. i kept giving mom updates during Raw and eventually i turned back to the game when the Jets had tied it up. the game went to OT tied at 16. the Bills got the ball first but did nothing. they punted and the Jets returned that punt for a touchdown to win the game. my mom was stunned but very happy when she realized it was one of the guys featured on Hard Knocks that returned it for the TD. absolutely crazy finish to week 1 of the NFL season.

one for the ages...
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Welcome to Wrexham, Deadliest Catch, Inside the NFL and Don't Forget the Lyrics.
the USMNT plays a friendly tonight against Oman. hopefully, they play better than the other day.
i did make it to Rite Aid a little after noon today. thankfully, it wasn't busy. i know i will be back there on Friday as i have to take mom to get her second shingles shot.
it has been an on and off drizzle since about 4 this morning so far today. just great.
that's all for me kids. i need to ice my back down and probably get a good nap in.

a rainy day, filled with arthritis and frustration...
i always love when a day starts off with me not making it to the bathroom in time. i swear, these are the days i just shake my head and know the 8 year old me was right. hard to believe we're coming up on 40 years since i first thought of suicide.
let me start off with my doctor's office visit yesterday. my blood pressure was great. my A1C was up. they believe it is due to stress. and all the usual, i need to exercise more, watch what i eat, etc. they are upping my dose of Trulicity. so, i hope that works. i need to get my blood drawn sometime this month. joy.
Manchester United won yesterday at home against Real Betis, 4-1. that gives them a very good chance of advancing in the Europa League when they go to Spain next week.
the Dayton Flyers defeated St. Joe's yesterday, 60-54. they will play Fordham tomorrow afternoon in the semifinals.
NJPW was good last night.

i've got my last load of laundry in the dryer. i vacuumed the whole house today. my back is fucking killing me.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. it will probably be in the morning most likely.
