where to begin... yesterday was damn near perfect. one fucking point away from one of those days and nights i would remember until i was dead. you already know about the Manchester United victory yesterday, so let's pick up where we left off.

the Dayton Flyers won yesterday at Davidson, 69-55.

team USA defeated Finland yesterday, 6-2, at the World Juniors. that means the USA won Group B and will face Germany in the quarterfinals.

the New York Knicks won last night at Houston, 108-88.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

now, the only blemish from last night. Ohio State lost to Georgia, 42-41. Ohio State missed a field goal with 8 seconds left that would have won the game and gave them the chance to win the national championship against TCU, who upset Michigan in the first semifinal. this is one of those losses that will keep me up at night for years.

the New Orleans Saints play today at Philadelphia. if the Saints lose, they will be eliminated from playoff contention.

the New York Rangers play today at the Florida Panthers.

so, roughly about 10 minutes after Ohio State lost last night, i placed my first legal bet on Draft Kings. since i have 8 free $25 bets to use by January 7th, i figure i might as well start now. if i get this parlay bet on the 49ers to hit today, the payout is $118.75.
