so, we had some weeds in our rock garden, it looked like a fucking forest to be honest. i got out there and pulled what i could. basically, until my back told me to fuck off. i got a trash bag full of weeds pulled though. and then i spent the next 3 hours in my massage chair with ice on my back in pain. joy.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
i caught some of the highlights from the home run derby last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Deadliest Catch and Dark Side of the Ring. i'll have to watch Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge tomorrow on Peacock since our local NBC has been taken off DIRECTV due to a contract dispute. i always love when rich people argue over money.
i doubt i watch much of the All-Star game tonight for MLB.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.
it looks like the rest of this week is going to be hit or miss thunderstorms. that should do wonders for my bad back and arthritis.
i now need to get the trash picked up, figure out dinner and probably help mom with her laundry.
until tomorrow kids...

you ever have those moments where the fog never lifts and you realize you haven't been able to get really good sleep for about 30 years now. welcome to my world.
the New York Yankees pissed away the lead yesterday against the Cubs and lost, 7-4. they fired their hitting coach after the game. i wish they would fire a few more coaches and players... it is now the All-Star break. the Yankees will be off until July 14th when they play at Colorado.
the USWNT defeated Wales yesterday, 2-0. they are now off to New Zealand for the Women's World Cup.
the USMNT defeated Canada in a crazy ass game last night. the match finished 2-2 after the 30 minutes of extra time. then the USA won the penalty shootout 3-2. they will play Panama in the semifinals. Mexico will play Jamaica in the other semifinal.
The Righteous Gemstones was fucking hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw. i doubt will watch much of the home run derby tonight.
i will hopefully get a few poems written today while mom is in physical therapy.
i did listen to episode 455 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can hear that by going here:
when i got up at 7:35 this morning, i said to myself, why the fuck am i up this early? i'm guessing my body is just so used to less than 5 hours of sleep, it doesn't remember how to sleep longer than that. joy.
the New York Yankees won yesterday against the Cubs, 6-3.today is the last game before the All-Star break.
i did watch some of the Gold Cup last night. Panama and Mexico both advanced. today, Guatemala and Jamaica face off before the USA plays Canada. here are some highlights from yesterday.
here are some MLS highlights from last night:
AEW Collision was very good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:

i wrote 3 poems last night for a project i am hoping to be a part of. more on that in the coming weeks.
the USWNT plays Wales today in their sendoff match before the Women's World Cup.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
i didn't mind the rain when i lived on the farm. i knew we needed it for the crops. but, i'm not on the farm now. and to wake up to rain for like the 3rd day in a row sucks. i know some asshole out there is like think of the alternative. guess what, i have been since i was 8 years old.
the New York Yankees lost last night at home to the Cubs, 3-0. i guess the only time they can win now is when their pitchers are perfect.
WWE Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.
the season finale of Painting with John was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be AEW Collision.
so, i woke up this morning to the news that David de Gea was leaving Manchester United after 12 years. i wasn't surprised by this, but i am really disappointed that he never got the sendoff he deserved after all these years at the club.
the Gold Cup starts back up today. i'll probably watch that and some of the MLS games.
i know mom wants pizza today. hopefully, they will get my order right this time.
i have a couple of poems swimming in my head. hopefully, those will come to shore later today.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

i'm not sure if it was because i am restless or i was too damn worried if mom was going to start sleepwalking again. so yeah, a few minutes of a nap, toss and turn, a few minutes more. this went on from 1:30 AM to 7:30 AM. my back has been killing me all day.
we had a guy out here to do the regular check up on the furnace and air conditioner. thankfully, everything is running well. of course, with mom's Meniere's really acting up, anytime the AC comes on, it drives her nuts. so, i have it at 74 right now. i would love if i could just turn the fucker off and open the windows. but, the humidity is worse for her than the noise. fun times.
the New York Yankees had their asses handed to them last night as Baltimore beat them, 14-1. so, basically the first two games of the series the Yankees won didn't mean shit in the end. they start a series tonight at home with the Cubs.
NJPW was a blast from the past last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and the season finale of Painting with John. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
i sort of surprised mom last night with some fried chicken from Lee's. she slept most of yesterday because of her headache and i knew her sodium was going to be really low. so, i figured that would at least give her some salt and protein, which did help her headache some. and, it allowed her to have chicken and waffles this morning for breakfast.
i am guessing i will be on here tomorrow morning, most likely.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.

i sent out 11 poems this morning, 5 to Synchronized Chaos and 3 each to The Beatnik Cowboy and Cajun Mutt Press. i will pass along the verdicts when i hear back from these places.
nothing like starting off the day with some pouring rain. not exactly what i needed for my arthritis. add to that, i caught mom sleepwalking this morning. i was at the front window, checking to see if any of the trash had been picked up. i started to walk to the kitchen to take my blood sugar and there was mom in the hallway with her robe telling me hi. the first thing i said is where is your rollator. she turned around and walked back into her room and went back to sleep. when she woke a few hours later she had no clue why her robe was on her rollator and not hanging up like it normally is. i explained to her what she did. this should be a fun day.
the Yankees lost last night at home to Baltimore, 6-3. they will hopefully win the series when they play again tonight.
AEW Dynamite was very good last night.

i am hoping to get some poems written while mom is at physical therapy this afternoon. if i do, i will most likely get some poems out for submissions by this weekend.
i finally was able to get an eye appointment with the group here in town. i'm really looking forward to going to a different place than i used to. plus, it is less than 5 minutes away from me.
i think mom is developing a migraine, so i'm guessing there will be no physical therapy today.

since we don't really do much for the 4th of July, i did my laundry yesterday, including my bedding. mom got me some funky sheets with skulls on them, so i decided it was time to put those on. and mom liked the holiday meal i put together. double cheeseburgers with coleslaw, mac salad and her favorite potato salad. and i guess everyone around here must have used up their fireworks before the 4th as there wasn't much last night, thankfully.
the New York Yankees won yesterday at home against Baltimore, 8-4. hopefully, they will win again tonight.
i did watch a good portion of El Trafico last night. it is one of the best rivalries in the MLS.

i did watch the Hot Dog eating contest yesterday. i thought at first it was going to be rained out, but it just went on later in the day.
i did see that Manchester United signed Mason Mount today from Chelsea.
grocery shopping went ok today. it was hotter than hell today, so i figured people would be in shitty moods. and i was right.
i need to get going on dinner and picking up the trash, etc.

so, first off, i want to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July.
i was hoping to get up earlier today, but apparently the shower i took at 2 in the morning actually did the trick. i didn't get up until 10 this morning. i know i got at least 6 solid hours of sleep. fuck, that might as well be a coma for me.

i was having a pretty productive morning, which was kind of surprising since mom had one of those dreams where she woke up with a scream at 4 in the morning bitching about frogs in her shoes. of course, i wasn't asleep yet, mostly because i never feel comfortable going to sleep until i know she is actually asleep. fun times. so yeah, i got a few things done this morning and sure enough, my bad back decided it wanted all the attention. so, i iced my back down and put on some tennis. i figured that would put me to sleep. i got almost two hours. joy.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday in St. Louis, 5-1. they start a series tonight at home against Baltimore.

we had the windows open last night after the storms went through. the fucking fireworks were close enough that if i was a war veteran i would have taken cover and grabbed a weapon. should be a fun next couple of days.
i had to go to the local grocery store to get a few things for tomorrow. potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad and i got an apple pie as well. and of course, by the time i got home and started eating lunch, Rite Aid texted me for the prescription i ran out of this morning. good times.
i did watch a little of the NASCAR race yesterday.
i will hopefully be on here tomorrow in the morning.
dinner tonight is going to be eggs and bacon. i figured we haven't done breakfast for dinner in a few months now.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
