at least i know when it is raining...

 so, after i got done with the blog last night, i called Kroger. i wanted to see if i could get the Gabapentin last night instead of today. they said they could do that. 5 minutes later, i got a text saying my pills were ready. i went up there and got them and then i went to Wendy's to get dinner. and of course, when i got home, they didn't get my order right. i am running out of places in this town that aren't run by the incompetent. my stepfather used to always say when a town got more than 3 stoplights, it was time to move. my thing is when all the smart people are gone, time to flee.

i didn't watch much of the MLB All Star game last night. the American League won 5-3.

NXT was excellent last night.

Deadliest Catch was good last night.

Hard Knocks offseason was very good last night.

grocery shopping went well today. and then it started raining. i was in Kroger and my right knee started hurting. i started to chuckle and thought, it must be fucking raining. it stopped long enough for me to get the groceries into the Highlander. as soon as i pulled out of the parking lot, it started to pour again. fuck me. and typical Ohio in July, 20 minutes later it was sunny and steamy. 

i will probably be on here tomorrow before i take mom to her physical therapy appointment.

i need to go ice my back down, so that's all for me today.

a bad back and on and off rain...

 i couldn't get my back to calm down last night. no matter how i tried to sleep, it was useless. eventually, at 5 AM, i finally went to sleep. mind you, i was in bed before 3 AM. i'm not sure if it is stress or actual pain that is fucking with me at times. the weed gummies are helping, but the last thing i want to do is rely on them 24/7. oh well.

so, i checked the Kroger website this morning and holy shit, all my prescriptions were there. so, i called and got the refill of my Gabapentin started. now, i have no clue if they are actually going to get to it today or not. mom takes it as well, so i do have a back up. hopefully, it will be done by the time i go there to do the grocery shopping tomorrow. i'm just happy i was able to get them transferred before that Rite Aid closes.

 so, we had some weeds in our rock garden, it looked like a fucking forest to be honest. i got out there and pulled what i could. basically, until my back told me to fuck off. i got a trash bag full of weeds pulled though. and then i spent the next 3 hours in my massage chair with ice on my back in pain. joy.

so damn hot and humid...

 i got woke up this morning when the truck came around to pick up our recycling. that was at 7:54 this morning. i fell asleep in my chair around 5 this morning. so yeah, i guess i almost got 3 hours of sleep. joy.

the grocery store was a bit crazy today. they only had 2 checkout lanes open that had cashiers at them. if you wanted to scan all the shit yourself, all those lanes were open. given the number of elderly customers today at Kroger, it didn't take a fucking genius to know maybe we should have a few more checkout lanes open. to make matters worse, one of the lanes closed with a few people still in line. hot temps, short fuses, and melting frozen shit... what a recipe for disaster. the icing on the cake was after i bagged most of my own groceries and paid the $164 for everything, i went outside to put the items in the Highlander. within 30 seconds of putting the stuff in i heard a loud crashing sound. i started looking around and there looked like there was a head on collision in the intersection near the grocery store. thank god i would be going home in the opposite direction. what a shit show.

i did watch bits and pieces of the MLB All Star game last night. the American League won, 3-2. hell, the National League only had 1 hit after the first inning. Giancarlo Stanton of the Yankees won the MVP for the game. he is only the 3rd Yankee ever to win the award (Jeter and Rivera).

NXT was excellent last night.

What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night.

Deadliest Catch was really good last night. the show will be back in August once Shark Week is over.
