hurry up and wait

when the phone rang this morning, i kind of was fearing they were going to move mom's eye surgery further back in the day. it was the complete opposite. i guess everything was running faster than normal so they wanted to know if she wanted to come in sooner. i still had breakfast to eat and a shower to take. joy. we got there in about a hour or so. mom was done with her surgery by the original time we were supposed to be there. that certainly cleared up the afternoon for me. of course, the remnants of hurricane Irma showed up today.

the New York Yankees won last night over Tampa 5-1. they are now 3 games behind Boston in the division. hopefully they can get another win tonight.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

I Hart Food was pretty good as well last night.

the New Orleans Saints couldn't find a rhythm in the red zone last night and had to settle for field goals. you don't win games in the NFL with field goals when your defense still fucking sucks. i'm not sure they stopped the Vikings at all when it mattered. fucking frustration, hello. the Saints lost 29-19. they next play at home against New England. oh great.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and American Horror Story. i'll watch 205 Live and the finals of the Mae Young Classic tonight on WWE Network.

Manchester United defeated Basel 3-0 today in Champions League action. the only bad thing about the victory was the injury to Paul Pogba. it looked like he pulled his hamstring. that means he'll probably miss the game on Sunday at home against Everton.

that's all for me kids. i still haven't picked up the trash and i need to figure out dinner.

checking the ego for once

first off, may we never forget...

i did a little poetry work today. i know where my next 27 poems are going to go. plus, i thinned out my unpublished file and moved some (nearly half) poems to the archives. this should allow me to better know the poems i'm selecting from. plus, if i ever do get a little fame, there's that unpublished collection waiting in the wings. but, when i noticed how thick the file was, that's certainly a good way to punch the ego right in the face.

the New York Yankees scored early and often yesterday to defeat Texas 16-7. Aaron Judge crushed 2 home runs as did Gary Sanchez. and they won on a day Boston lost. the Yankees start a series tonight against Tampa in the Mets stadium in Queens. hopefully the Yankees can win again tonight.

Big Brother was good last night. i'm still hoping they somehow fuck over Paul in the end. Alex will be the next to go.

Ballers was pretty good last night.

the season finale of Insecure was excellent.

Last Week Tonight was hilarious as usual last night.

The Strain was fucking great last night. the series finale next week should be great.

Ray Donovan was pretty good last night.

Episodes was pretty funny last night.

The Deuce was absolutely great last night. i can tell i'm really going to enjoy this show.

and through anger comes a diamond...

Ohio State pissed me off so much that i didn't even bother to watch the whole game. i walked away, poured myself a tall glass of Jack Daniels and Coke, went to my room, turned on some music and just started to write. and write. and write some more. by the end, i just figured to finish off the damn notebook. 12 poems in all. i'll type them up this afternoon while the football games are on. i have no rooting interest with the games today.

Ohio State got their asses whipped by Oklahoma last night, 31-16. if Ohio State wouldn't have caused some turnovers in the first half, Oklahoma would have hung 50 on them last night. judging from the first 2 games, the Buckeyes are probably the 3rd or 4th best team in the Big Ten right now. if they don't improve quickly, it's going to be a long season.

Manchester United was held to a 2-2 draw yesterday at Stoke City. they are still in first place, but only by goal differential now. they play again on Tuesday in the Champions League. i'll miss most of that since the game is on at the same time as mom's cataract surgery on her left eye.

the lone bright spot yesterday was the New York Yankees. they got some great pitching yesterday and scored a few runs late to beat Texas 3-1. hopefully they will win the series this afternoon.

ROH was excellent last night. i could watch The Young Bucks wrestle air for the next 20 years and be entertained.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ballers, Insecure, Last Week Tonight, The Strain, Ray Donovan and Episodes.

i figure after i type up those poems, i'll flip around all the NFL games. i still have the Sunday Ticket package even though i'm no longer playing fantasy football. since mom's team is the Jets and mine is the Saints, it's the only way we could see every game that isn't on national television.

i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon most likely. i know i have to make a trip to the grocery store tomorrow as i just realized this morning i was getting low on my prescriptions. that's my last refill until my next visit to the doctor in October.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better. for those of you that didn't try to flee the hurricane, why the fuck are you reading this? be safe and hopefully the flooding won't be catastrophic.

it certainly made for an interesting drive home...

i want to believe my sister doesn't hate me. like, really, really believe it. but, she has a way of doing things sometimes that cuts me right to my damn soul. and as much as i want to believe she's not doing this consciously, her subconscious must have it out for me. her birthday party was pretty good last night. i saw people i hadn't seen in many years. i saw family from my dad's side that i hadn't seen in over a quarter of a century. mom didn't know everybody, so she wanted my sister to introduce them. my sister made it a point to make a spectacle out of it, which i didn't mind. she went around the room and introduced everyone, even the people mom already knew. but, of course, she forgot one person. you might imagine where this is going and you would be correct. part of this, i blame on myself. as my sister got down from introducing everyone minus a poet that is closely related to her, i didn't say anything. this is the part of me i hate more than anything. i simply take it. i take every ounce of shit i'm dealt in this world because a part of me has always felt it's what is deserved. between being molested and my father never loving me,(plus a trillion other examples) part of me feels like being shit on is simply my function in life. that's why i always laughed when people thought i was joking when i said i write poetry so i don't have to kill people. the drive home was pretty damn quick. i was pretty fucking pissed. i waited to cool down a bit before i mentioned something to mom about it. mom was upset because she of course never thought anything about it until i said something. and i'm not trying to be the asshole to make it always about me. my sister hates the fact that i don't have a job and don't make enough money to take care of myself, let alone anyone else. i actually wonder if she ever thought about if i was working and couldn't take care of mom, what would happen then? she moved away so she wouldn't have to worry about it. yet i get shit on for accepting the responsibility. my sister's excuse for not mentioning me was that everyone already knew me. i know that's not true, but just like her father, she's never at fault. i can't imagine the next 40 years of our lives being much different.

VICE was very interesting last night.

NJPW was excellent last night.

Treehouse Masters was really good last night.

Room 104 was pretty damn funny last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.

the New York Yankees pissed away a 5-1 lead last night in Texas to lose 11-5. it's probably a good thing i missed most of the game. they play again this afternoon.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

Ohio State plays a huge game tonight at home against Oklahoma. they will have to play better than they did against Indiana last week to get the win tonight.

i'm hoping Manchester United can keep their winning streak alive today on the road.

i figure i'll probably watch some college football this afternoon while i'm doing the dishes. that should help take my mind off of the pain.

i get a pain in my left leg anytime i stand longer than 4 or 5 minutes now. it usually takes 45 minutes to do the dishes. good times.

i'll be on here tomorrow in the morning most likely, hopefully drunk from the night before.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

happy birthday to my sister...

i know i don't say this as much as i should, but i am very proud of my sister and love her. she has done a truly amazing job with her life of getting her degree, making her money, not being mired in debt and living the life she wants to live. i didn't make it easy for her being a year ahead of her in school. all the book shit came easy to me, it never did for her. then of course, our asshole father gambled away the college money, and i took the hit by going to work in a factory so my sister could go to college. she called her freshman year wanting to quit and i told her she wasn't allowed to. thankfully, she listened. now, i'm hoping to talk her out of wanting to own property in the south. i'm hoping the news of these hurricanes will open her eyes. it's not likely, since the first thing she said was maybe the prices will be cheaper now. i'm not sure she realizes how much she thinks like her father when it comes to money. happy 40th birthday to my sister. be happy you don't look your age.

it was nice to see the Patriots get beat last night. Kansas City destroyed them 42-27.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Fuck, That's Delicious Classics was excellent last night.

Big Brother was really good last night. i can't believe Jason actually thought he wasn't going to be evicted. Raven was the second eviction. yet again, another shot pissed away to get Paul out. Josh is the new HOH. i haven't heard who he is going to nominate yet.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher, Treehouse Masters and Room 104.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight in Texas against the Rangers. hopefully they can start stringing some wins together.

i'm not sure how long we'll be in Columbus tonight. i'm really interested to see how mom does. she hasn't been on this long of a car ride in a long time. plus, since her vision stinks at the moment, i'm kind of wondering how she'll do in a completely different environment. i figure we won't be closing the place down, that's for sure.

i'll be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays Stoke City.

between the hurricanes and that earthquake in Mexico, it certainly feels like the world is coming to an end. i'm sure it will all be Obama's fault somehow.

it feels a little weird...

the NFL season starts tonight and for the first time in well over 20 years, i'm not playing any fantasy football. i'm not even picking games this season. it certainly feels a little weird. and since i'm not playing any fantasy football, i really only give a shit about what the New Orleans Saints do this season. so, my NFL season kicks off on Monday.

the New York Yankees were rained out last night and had to make up the game with Baltimore this afternoon. thankfully, they took care of business and whipped the Orioles 9-1. sadly, before the game, Gene "Stick" Michael passed away at the age of 79. he did everything for the team in his life; player, coach, scout, manager, general manager, etc. he was the one behind the building of the Yankees last dynasty. rest in peace Stick and thank you for everything.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. i fully expect Jason to be evicted tonight and then i'm hoping all hell breaks loose on the second eviction.

the season finale of Snowfall was great last night. i really hope this show lasts for as many seasons as possible.

NXT was pretty good last night.

Lucha Underground was very good last night.

the season debut of You're the Worst was fucking great last night.

the season debut of Total Bellas was pretty funny last night.

Mr. Mercedes was fucking awesome last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.

i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between New England and Kansas City.

for those wondering, i did get a new lamp for my desk. it's a decent one that will hopefully last me many years. i got some light bulbs for it as well. the plunger was a gag gift of sorts for my sister's new house and that she's turning 40 years old tomorrow.

i just put my last load of laundry in the washer. i figure since i'm driving mom up to Columbus tomorrow for the party for my sister, i might as well be wearing clean clothes. fuck, i might even shave and shower as well.

i did do the grocery shopping today. between gas, pills and food, i kept it under $130. that's not too bad. and i got back in time to watch the Yankees game.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:

sitting across from a dream

the woman sitting across from me in the waiting room today, while i was waiting for mom to come out from her mammogram, was a damn near identical match to a huge crush i had in high school. i kept playing it off that i wasn't blatantly staring at her. now, this woman had a different name (my hearing is way too good for public places sometimes) and is probably 20 years younger than the crush, but it was a nice blast from the past. i'm sure there will be poems in the next few days.

last night was one of those nights where sports fucking crushed me. first off, the New York Yankees had a long ass rain delay before the game started. then, they couldn't hold on to a 5 run lead and eventually lost to Baltimore 7-6 on a walk off home run from future Yankee Manny Machado. the Yankees picked the wrong night to lose as Boston won last night. hopefully the Yankees can win the series tonight.

the USA played like shit last night. the defense was absolutely in shambles for most of the game. and when Honduras took the lead early in the first half, the nightmare started playing in my head. thankfully, Bobby Wood scored late to salvage a 1-1 draw that leaves the USA in 4th place in the standings. now, they next face Panama at home. Panama is 1 point ahead of them. the best the USA could finish in this now is probably 3rd, but 3rd will keep them from having to win a playoff to get into the World Cup. as much as i want them to make it, part of me knows them missing it could be best in the long run. i'm not sure why a coach would start a guy in his 40's on defense in 100 degree heat in a game that you must win. of course, the coach also believed a draw was good enough. now, if they somehow lose to Panama, he'll understand the foolish nature of that statement.

American Horror Story was fucking great last night. i think i'm really going to enjoy this season.

Deadliest Catch was pretty good last night.

Hard Knocks was good last night. it also showed why Tampa is a clown organization.

Smackdown was really good last night. the match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton was as good as i thought it could be.

205 Live was pretty good last night as well. it will be interesting to see if Neville takes the advice Chris Jericho gave him about Enzo Amore.

after a night of heavy rain...

when i was trying to fall asleep last night, i could hear the rain pounding the house. i have to trick myself anymore to think i'm finding the pleasure in the pain to fall asleep. that worked for a few hours. eventually, i just said fuck it and got up. we had 1.4 inches in the rain gauge. the grass certainly needed it, that's for sure.

i was really pleased when i got that email back from Carcinogenic Poetry this morning. this will be the first time Michael has published me in 3 years.

i got some great FREE music this morning on NoiseTrade. here are the links you should definitely check out:

the New York Yankees won yesterday over Baltimore 7-4. with Boston losing last night, the Yankees are now just 2 1/2 games out in the division. hopefully the Yankees can make it 4 wins in a row tonight.

I Hart Food was pretty damn good last night. looks like Eugene, Oregon would be a place i would like.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night as well. The Big Show vs. Braun Strowman in a steel cage certainly didn't disappoint. and they are doing a pretty good job of making Roman Reigns vs. John Cena something i should give a shit about.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, the season finale of Hard Knocks, Deadliest Catch and the new season of American Horror Story. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the USA faces a MUST WIN game today at Honduras. it's never easy to play there, but i'm really fucking tired of the excuses coming from the team and the coaches. here's a tip... play your best players and fucking WIN. if they don't get a result out of this game, there is a likely chance they won't qualify for the World Cup in Russia in 2018.

i will be on here sometime after i take my mother to have her mammogram tomorrow.

i have trash to pick up now, dishes to do and they still haven't delivered the fucking mail. and i would love to have that all done before the USA plays in a few hours.

to top it all off, my damn lamp by my computer died. so now i'm using this light i have had since my childhood. i'm talking late 1970's my friends. my luck, the fucker will catch something on fire.

happy labor day

i hope everyone that is celebrating labor day enjoys it. safe travels. don't drink and drive unless you plan on killing yourself. enjoy some food and some relaxation.

the New York Yankees defeated Boston last night 9-2. that moves them within 3 1/2 of first place in the division. what i loved most about last night was they whipped Boston's best pitcher. and Aaron Judge finally hit another home run. it would be nice to get him going again, especially since Gary Sanchez will be out 3 games serving his suspension. the Yankees start a series this afternoon at Baltimore.

Big Brother was pretty funny last night. i'm not sure why these house guests are so stupid.

the season finale of Power last night was fucking great. this show has got better each and every season. i can't wait for season 5.

Ballers was pretty good last night.

Insecure was very good last night. the season finale next week looks great.

The Strain was a little heartbreaking last night. it's painfully obvious that the end of the series is near. i believe there's only 2 more episodes left.

the two part season finale of Twin Peaks last night was a delicious mind fuck once again. just when i thought the show was going to go in one direction, it completely threw a damn curve. brilliant as always.

hello sunshine, my name is...

i have to get out of this damn rut i have fallen into of not going to sleep until 3 or 4 in the morning. now, on holiday weekends, it's not so bad, but on the regular days it's not ideal when you are helping to take care of another human. last night i was doing the dishes at 2 in the damn morning. it's comical when you think about it. 2 victory drinks just so i can stand the pain of doing the dishes for 45 minutes. and then it takes me nearly 2 hours to get to the point where i fall asleep. it's the recipe for early death my friends.

the New York Yankees won yesterday over Boston 5-1. they got some really good pitching and a welcome home run from the returning Matt Holliday. now, hopefully they can get the win tonight as a split in the series does them no good.

ROH was pretty good last night.

i did watch most of Alabama vs. Florida State last night. Alabama certainly did take advantage of every mistake Florida State made. i suppose it depends on how bad Florida State's QB is hurt if they will meet again in the playoffs or not. Alabama won 24-7.

enjoy some music:

a night to forget

the only good thing that came from last night was the right amount of anger and alcohol can create some magical poems. i had a nice long writing session last night that created 8 really, really good poems. i typed them up this morning and they will definitely be used in the next round of submissions.

now, the drawback was i didn't get done until 3 in the morning. my brain didn't shut off until 6 in the morning. i woke up this morning at 9. you can imagine just how chipper i am.

the USA lost a game they really needed to win against Costa Rica last night, 2-0. i had a bad feeling as soon as the referee didn't give an obvious penalty against Costa Rica in the box early in the game. the USA was abysmal in the final third all night long, except for one amazing save from Navas. they now have to WIN in Honduras on Tuesday. 2 of their 3 remaining games to qualify are on the road. i guess we'll see just what the team is made of. if they don't qualify, it should be the wake up call US Soccer has needed for years.

the New York Yankees got 2 doubles to start off the game last night. they only got 2 more hits for the rest of it. the Yankees lost to Boston 4-1. oh well, hopefully they decide they would actually like to make the playoffs at some point before the season ends. the Yankees are currently up 1-0 this afternoon. hopefully they can get a victory.

thankfully, my high school i went to won their football game last night. (yes, i'm drinking for that, fuck you.)

NJPW was really good last night.

Treehouse Masters was excellent last night.

Room 104 was one of the best mind fucks in a long time last night.

i figure i will have to get a little sleep at some point today. after that, i will be watching Florida State against Alabama tonight. that's one of the biggest early college football games i can remember in a long time. #1 vs. #3.

other than that, given that it's not likely for the sun to appear again today, it's a day to get in my massage chair and sleep.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

just enough rain to make the body ache

as i was driving to the bank today, it started to rain. the remnants of Harvey are finally here. it was just enough rain to get everything wet and make every bone in my body ache. good times.

when Ohio State was trailing at halftime last night, 14-13, i wasn't happy. i wasn't shocked either. the offense looked sluggish and the secondary were making the mistakes of the young. thankfully, the coaches made some adjustments and the players executed them correctly (what a concept) and Ohio State defeated Indiana last night, 49-21. hopefully they have a good week of practice as their next game will be the home opener against Oklahoma.

the New York Yankees got some really good pitching from CC last night and a few long balls to defeat Boston, 6-2. hopefully they can do the same thing again tonight.

the New Orleans Saints lost last night, 14-13. i only saw a few highlights from the game. i will be interested to see who makes the final cut.

Big Brother went as i expected last night. Matt got evicted. i believe Christmas is the new HOH.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Fuck, That's Delicious Classics was great last night.

The Chris Gethard Show last night was absolutely fantastic. Method Man was the guest and the topic was death. i laughed my ass off the entire hour.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW, Treehouse Masters and Room 104.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast late last night. you can find that by going here: http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2017/9/1/wrestling-podcast-149-sasha-banks

team USA plays a pretty big game today against Costa Rica in World Cup Qualifying. i will be thrilled if the boys can get a win and 3 more points. that will help a great deal in their quest to make Russia in 2018.

the rain is supposed to be out of here by the back half of this holiday weekend. hopefully, it won't be raining when mom sends me to the grocery store in town to get what she wants for Labor Day.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i'll probably be on here early tomorrow, or whenever i find some time between my start of the month writing sessions.
