my patience is incredibly thin today, mostly due to fucking humans. apparently, when the original measurements were taken for the kitchen remodel, they were either incorrect to begin with or written down wrong. all is fucking possible to be honest. the new pullout shelves showed up today and they were still too large. and the one that went into the upper part of our pantry was too fucking small. so, mom told the contractor to just put back the regular shelves for the rest of the pantry and forgot about it. the vent hood had a fucking dent in it. joy. and to top everything off, the fucking fridge is too big to fit in where it goes. i told mom i just want the contractor to cut out the two small cabinets that are there now so the fridge will fit and we can use the two small cabinets in the garage somewhere. mom's anxiety is through the fucking roof. and of course, today she found out when the surgery will be for her eyes. i have been up since 5:45 this morning and am running on 3 1/2 hours of sleep. good times.
AEW Dynamite was pretty good last night.
The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother: Reindeer Games and NJPW.
i will probably watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Chargers and Raiders.
one way or another, i am really hoping the kitchen remodel is done tomorrow. i'm really fucking tired of making dinner in the living room.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i need to get a nice long nap in before i figure out what the fuck is for dinner tonight.
at least the old fridge is now in the garage and actually working. so, at some point we have to figure out where that is going and further clean out the fucking garage.
until tomorrow kids...

it was a fine mist/drizzle all fucking day today. just enough to make me miserable. add in the fact i woke up late... that meant i missed just about all of the France vs. Morocco World Cup game. but, i did get all the grocery shopping done. i had to make a special trip to Meijer today. we had a Christmas tree die on us last night. the lights completely fizzled. i can't really complain. we had the tree more than 10 years. so, i went to Meijer and found the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. i figure that is the perfect tree for this Christmas.
France defeated Morocco today at the World Cup, 2-0. that sets up a World Cup final of France vs. Argentina. Croatia will play Morocco in the 3rd place game.
the finale of The Voice last night was good. i wasn't really surprised when Bryce won last night.
NXT was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, AEW Dynamite, Saturday Night Live Christmas Special and Hard Knocks.
the New York Knicks play tonight at Chicago.
here are your NBA highlights from last night.
thanks to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
i think it was during the Keanu Reeves interview last night, i realized just how fucking old i am now. it becomes this existential crisis of sorts, where i can't escape my head, or thoughts, or the onslaught of nostalgia. i want to believe poems will come flying out of me during this shit. so far, that is not the case. it feels like i am trying to squeeze water out of a rock. and my theory has always been, when the words dry up, i have no use to this planet any longer. part of me thinks this is the holidays doing this. nothing says Christmas with the thought of death in the air.
mom had me go out last night and get some Lee's. she wanted the mashed potatoes for the most part. i had to crunch some numbers with her sodium restrictions, but i found a combo that worked for her. at least she feels better so far this morning.
The Voice was amazing last night. i think the winner is going to be between Girl Named Tom and Wendy Moten. and considering i had both of them in my final 3, i'm fine with either winning.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, I Cane See Your Voice and The Voice season finale.
the New York Rangers play tonight in Colorado. hopefully, the game goes better for them than when they faced each other at MSG the other night.
i think my doctor's appointment today is to go over my blood work results from last week. i think all the numbers were good except for one liver number that is always high. so, it should be a quick appointment, hopefully.
i suppose i should start getting Christmas decorations up soon. of course, i'm not sure if mom wants the Thanksgiving ones put away just yet. oh how i love living in a house of procrastination.
i'm going to try to get the blog done before i do the grocery shopping tomorrow.
i need to go shave and shower, so that's all for me kids.

it was raining when i did that recording last night. i think it rained most of the night. i didn't get much sleep. i was in bed before 3 AM, which is a miracle anymore, but i saw the clock at 5 and 6 and finally at 7 i said fuck it, and got out of bed. there's a chance of snow tonight. figures, i'll be out at the basketball game.
Mel Brooks: Unwrapped was pretty good last night. seeing all those old clips brought back some memories.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Bluegrass Underground, The Shop, ROH and Saturday Night Live.
the New York Rangers finish their road trip this afternoon against the Anaheim Ducks. hopefully, the boys can get another win.
the Dayton Flyers play tonight at home against Drake. it's another sellout at UD Arena. hopefully Dayton wins again tonight. they are 16 point favorites i believe.
i will watch some of the Army vs. Navy game this afternoon before i get ready to leave for the basketball game.
i should be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays. given that the Saints don't play until Monday night, i have a nice big window to get the blog done.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.
until tomorrow kids...

there's nothing quite like just laying in bed wanting to move but pain has told you no. i know apathy is slowly killing me, but i think arthritis is making bold strides to try to catch up. i figure all i need now is headaches and all the elements will be there for me to drink myself to oblivion. good times.
Manchester United won yesterday, 1-0 over Bournemouth. Lukaku finally found the back of the net again. hopefully that starts a hot streak for him. he and the club could certainly use it. United plays again on Sunday against West Brom.
the New York Rangers lost last night to Ottawa 3-2. the mistakes this fucking team makes on a constant basis is fucking killing me. they play again on Friday at home against the Kings.
NXT was pretty good last night. the main event certainly didn't disappoint.
Total Divas was pretty fucking funny last night. alcohol always makes for a better show.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces and WWE Tribute to the Troops.
i got a letter in the mail today that stated my doctor is going to be moving. i'm not sure where and i'm not sure if my insurance will still be good with him. lovely.
that's all for me kids. i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i think i might have a trip to the grocery store to do tomorrow. mostly to pick up pills and probably some liquor.

as some of you know firsthand, i HATE when officials get obvious calls wrong in sports. today was 2 of the worst fucking calls i have EVER seen get wrong and how the fuck the humans missed them is beyond me. now, i have some conspiracy theories, especially since Manchester United was involved.
i didn't see Paul Pogba's goal in the first half, where he was offside. it's somehow United's fault that they never called it. so when the blind asshole missed a beyond obvious handball in the box, i was furious. then, less than 2 minutes later, they took away a goal from Juan Mata that wasn't offside or even fucking close to it. i was damn near apoplectic. my thought was since Pogba scored right before the end of the first half, these stupid fucks saw at halftime their mistake and was bound to make sure they didn't help United at all in the second half, especially since Crystal Palace had tied the game at 1 by this point. enter a perfectly weighted ball from Pogba to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and HOLY SHIT, what a goal. 88th minute. United goes on to win the game 2-1. a vital 3 points to keep pace with the front runners. i absolutely love when talent can overcome shitty officiating.
i was so happy to get The Voice winner correct last night. Sundance Head absolutely deserved to win.
Smackdown was very good last night. i can't wait for the match between Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles.
205 Live was excellent last night. the triple threat match this weekend between TJ Perkins, Rich Swann and The Brian Kendrick should steal the show.
speaking of this weekend, congrats to my friend Sam Roberts on being able to scratch something off the bucket list as he will be a co-host on the pre-show to the ppv for the WWE this weekend.
Scream Queens was fantastic last night. i can't wait to see the season finale next week.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Lucha Underground, Total Divas, Saturday Night Live Christmas Special and WWE Tribute to the Troops. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers lost last night 2-1. it was another great game with Chicago. the boys had a great effort but ran into a hot goalie in the 3rd period. they play again at Dallas tomorrow, a game in which i think The King will be back in net.
there are supposed to be people show up here tomorrow to do our foam insulation. considering the windchill will be well below zero tomorrow, i'll believe it when i see it.
i know i will have to do some grocery shopping tomorrow as well.
the roads were much better than i thought they were going to be today. i got mom to her appointment early and thankfully they were able to get her in early.
i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon sometime i suppose. not sure if it will be before or after the grocery store.

i believe my mother was shocked yesterday when i helped her with Christmas lights and some decorations. she wrongly believes that i hate this shit. it's more that i hate my memories of Christmas and all the fucking dysfunction and fights. having a father that made sure he got himself the best gift possible each year really disgusted any happy thought i would ever have of Christmas. but, now that the demon that spawned me has died, i can now do a little more with trying to create my own Christmas memories. plus, my mom wants to shock my sister since she believes we do nothing here other than sit on the computer and wait for death. good times.
amazingly, the New Orleans Saints actually won yesterday. i was so damn shocked i actually forgot to have my victory beer. i'll enjoy that this evening. the defense played probably the best it had played all season. and a 24-17 victory over a team with thoughts of making the playoffs was a very nice way to put a little joy into this miserable season.
Tables Ladders and Chairs was a pretty fun ppv last night on WWE Network. i was a little upset that they teased some fire in one of the matches but didn't do it. also, i'm hoping that Kevin Owens losing the Intercontinental Championship last night is a sign that he's going to be in the World Title scene soon and not shuffled back down to obscurity. the main event was somewhat boring until Roman Reigns snapped. kudos to HHH for still taking a beating like that at his age. it should make for an interesting Monday Night Raw tonight.
the Stone Cold Podcast with HBK after the ppv was pretty good as well.
Homeland was fucking perfect last night. just enough tension and drama that sets up the finale next week to be a great one.
The Affair was excellent as well last night. i really can't wait to see what happens on the season finale.
my fantasy football teams got ravaged by injuries yesterday. i've already lost 2 of the matches. the third one i have a 12 point lead and i have to win to make the playoffs in all 3 leagues. that might be the only thing i will get to be proud of this season. i won another week in fantasy hockey. that's two in a row. maybe the worm has turned.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and the Adele in NYC special on NBC. i'm really interested to see how the first night of The Voice finale goes.
the book i ordered from Ally Malinenko arrived today. i'm really looking forward to reading it.
i think i might be going out with mom today to get an outdoor timer for the Christmas lights. i'm hoping that the cold front has moved through the area. i hate going out in the rain.
my uncle seems to be doing better. i think he's going to be in the hospital one more day. i'm hoping someone there tells him how close he came to dying. it's time they stop sugarcoating chemo and the cancer he has. he wanted to be aggressive and fight it and it nearly killed him. maybe he wants to rethink that strategy. or maybe he wants to give us all a Christmas memory.
when i say all the time i come from a dysfunctional family, i'm not bullshitting you or embellishing the stories to make it sound worse. you learn as a writer, nothing can be scarier than the truth.
i hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. if not, have another drink.

it snowed all night here. a very light, wet snow. probably no more than 2 inches so far. when i went out to feed the cats this morning, i did manage to take some pictures. here are a couple of my favorites:
the rest of the pictures can be seen in the slideshow on the right hand side of this blog. they also have been posted on Google+.
i now know i will not be going to the Dayton Flyers game this evening. mom's check engine light came on last night. this was just a few hours after she got it back from the mechanic. i've got a funny feeling that we're going to have to replace 2 vehicles here soon. good times.
so, the rest of my day will be watching sports, and probably doing some shit i would normally do on Sunday morning today (trash, dishes, etc.). i know Saturday Night Live is new tonight. and there should be another good episode of ROH as well.
i will probably be back on here sometime before Manchester United plays tomorrow morning.considering it is a fantasy football playoffs Sunday, i'm sure my anxiety will have me awake around 6 in the morning.
hope you enjoy the pictures. be well, stay warm, drink one for me.

on the bad side, Manchester City gets a 90 minute pk from Balotelli to salvage a point in Champions League play.

i did type up the one poem i had sitting around. got a few places in mind i will be sending to in a week or so.
