a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

i think it rained just about all night long. that surely explains why i woke up in pain. of course, it always makes me laugh. 4 hours of sleep.1 drink before bed of mostly Jack Daniels and a little soda. blood sugar is fucking fantastic in the morning. that's the DNA of an alcoholic right there boys and girls.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
ROH was very good last night.

i think i got to sleep last night around 4 this morning. and of course, i was up again at 8:30. i even made sure to exhaust my brain so i would sleep. and all i can get is 4 1/2 fucking hours.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
so, i got mom to her appointment this morning on time. everything went well, or at least that was what both of us thought. they took some blood from mom and i guess they called when i was out this afternoon. her sodium is low and she's dehydrated. just fucking lovely. and of course, this is the anniversary of her second husband's death, so she's been fucking emotional all day long. good times.
so, i went out today trying to find some baseball cards. i first went to Big Lots and they didn't have shit. hell, they didn't even have any toys i was interested in getting either. so, i went to the Rite-Aid that is south of where i live. i haven't been there for a month or so but had some decent success the last time i was there. i found 2 Fairfield boxes and a pack of 2020 Donruss Optic football cards. i got all 3 of those and it cost me $18. i made that all back from the football pack of cards alone. add in the hit in the one Fairfield box and the 1999 Topps Roy Halladay in the other box and i made somewhere around $60 in total from the 3. that made me really fucking happy. now, if i could only get some people to start buying some cards off of me...
i'm trying to move my non-sports cards as well. i have some Star Wars, Superman 2, E.T., Batman, Michael Jackson, Garbage Pail Kids, Alf, The Monkees and some WWE cards i'm hoping to sell. and of course, i have plenty of baseball, football, hockey and basketball cards from 1959-2021. if you are interested or know anyone that is, feel free to send me an email (jcampb4593@aol.com) i am definitely looking to move it all.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
i almost wish i would have just chose to sleep this afternoon than watch Manchester United play. 0-0 games are the absolute worse. hell, i know United advances because of what they did in the first leg (4-0) but i really would of loved to see them hammer Real Sociedad today and drive the point home that they really want to win the Europa League. oh well.
i joked with my mother when i got home from the store today... at least i knew where she was, which was better than last Wednesday. i feel like i have bought every fucking food on earth low in sodium in the past 6 hours. we might as well be vegetarians now... i did get everything on the grocery list today.
Young Rock was good last night.
Kenan was good last night as well.

mom's doctor's appointment was long, like i predicted, but at least she got some clarity on what meds she should be taking and what she can stop taking. i swear, if you saw our kitchen table right now, it's like a scene out of Drugstore Cowboy.
Monday Night Raw last night was good, for the most part.
i know my "normal" life will not exist for months now, given that my mother nearly died. the home health nurse came out today. they are sending someone on Friday to get mom's pills all in order so she can't forget to take something anymore. i know the next few weeks will be hectic as fuck as i have to take her to about 4 different doctors. and somewhere in all of that, i have to find the time to sell some baseball cards, write some poetry and maintain this blog. the odds of me dying by 50 are better than ever now. good times.
WWE Elimination Chamber was pretty good last night and definitely made the road to WrestleMania a little more interesting. of course, i would love to see The Miz lose the title tonight...
my mother had her oxygen tank (for lack of a better word) delivered here last night. the guy who brought it and set it up was really nice. he explained things very clearly. mom has to use it every night while she is sleeping. thankfully, it doesn't make much noise. she said she felt pretty good last night. we have to figure out all her foods and how much she can have. but, i'm sure we'll get the feel for that before too long.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
Austin City Limits was an old episode last night with Willie Nelson.
my mother got released from the hospital today. she has lost some weight and knows she nearly died. so, now i get to go on this journey with her. the next few weeks will be doctor visit after doctor visit and i'm sure she's going to be just thrilled.
the Dayton Flyers defeated Saint Louis last night, 76-53. i was totally fucking shocked that Dayton absolutely destroyed them. i thought the lineup change was perfect for Dayton and will hopefully help them the rest of the season.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
so i was getting some things done on the computer this morning when the urge to shit suddenly came on. and of course, since this is my life, i didn't make it to the bathroom in time. and this was before i had even had breakfast. exactly how i wanted to start this day. between cleaning that up and being pissed off, i tweaked my back... so i have spent most of today in my massage chair, icing my back. good times.
i think my mother may be coming home today. not sure. i know my sister is planning on going to see her in a little bit. with how my back feels, i'd rather not risk it.
the New York Rangers ended their losing streak last night, defeating Philadelphia 3-2 in a shootout. hopefully that will be the start of something good.
my mother doesn't have COVID... that was probably the best thing that came from the conversation with the nurse last night. she is feeling much better. she did a bunch of tests this morning and it is surely congestive heart failure. she has to start a new diet, no more alcohol (she's not happy about that), etc. etc. it looks like she may be coming home either tomorrow or Saturday.
i did the dishes this morning, swept the house and shoveled the driveway this afternoon. my sister is supposed to be here in the morning tomorrow and i know we're going to have to have some talks regarding mom.
in even better news, Manchester United won 4-0 today in the Europa League over Real Sociedad. that was a pleasant shock.
so, my sister and i got to talk to our mother's nurse finally. i guess she didn't have respiratory problems after all, since the room number i got for her had changed. i guess what actually happened was congestive heart failure. so yeah, as i told my sister, be prepared for a whole different level of shit now... i know it's going to be a long night ahead... joy.
so, my mother has been having problems with her asthma the last couple days. she had me buy something to read her oxygen levels today while i was at Rite-Aid. i got a text from her while i was in line at Meijer telling me she had a telehealth appointment at 2 and if she got worse, she was going to call the squad to evaluate her. so, i texted her back that i should be home before 2. i still had to go to Kroger and get the rest of the groceries... i got home at 1:40. of course, my mother was nowhere to be found. so, around 5:30 this evening, i got a text from her which was mostly gibberish. i figured she had to be on drugs. so, i guess the squad took her to the emergency room of the closest hospital to us. thankfully, i guessed right when i called. she is being admitted to the hospital upstairs, and can't have any visitors because she has respiratory problems. so, this should be a fun evening.
i did get everything on the grocery list today. made a trip to the bank. i had to get gas as well. good thing i did, just in case i do have to travel a bit with this upcoming storm. my order from Walk Off Wax finally came today. between that and the box of baseball cards i got at Rite-Aid today, i think i got some pretty good ones. now, i have to order some more damn supplies.
Young Rock was pretty funny last night.
Kenan was pretty funny as well last night.
the New York Rangers lost to the Devils last night, 5-2. honestly, i think the Rangers are trying to get their coach fired.
