at least the sun is out today...

i woke up this morning around 6:30 AM. i looked at the clock and said fuck you. just once, i would love to sleep and the clock say PM on it.

i fed the birds this morning. i figured since it is supposed to rain tomorrow, i should put some food out there for them today. feel a little sorry for my neighbor, who parked his SUV outside this morning. i have a feeling that might become target practice for the birds.

the New York Yankees beat Boston yesterday, 4-2. they go for the sweep of the series tonight.

the New York Rangers defeated Ottawa last night, 5-1. they have a legitimate shot at winning the division as they are now tied with Carolina at 100 points. i can't wait to grow the playoff beard. i have a feeling this season i might not be shaving until June.

the USWNT defeated Uzbekistan yesterday, 9-1.

i did catch a few MLS games yesterday.

i should be on here tomorrow after mom's physical therapy appointment.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

trying to find the light in a dark world...

so, i was already in a pissy mood this morning after getting up early to watch Manchester United shit the bed against Everton. and then my mood turned to sadness. i saw the news that Dwayne Haskins died this morning in Florida. 3 weeks before his 25th birthday. so damn tragic. rest in peace.

Manchester United lost at Everton, 1-0. at this rate, United is going to struggle to finish in the top 10 of the league.

ok, now some positive shit. the Yankees never had the lead yesterday against Boston until the 11th inning. of course, that was the only time they needed to have the lead. the Yankees won, 6-5 in 11 innings. Rizzo, Stanton and DJ hit home runs. Josh Donaldson had the winning single in his first game as a Yankee. hopefully, they will find a way to win this afternoon. i did see what the Yankees offered Aaron Judge. i think the offer was fair but i don't mind Aaron betting on himself and trying to get a better deal out of them. now, if he thinks he is getting the Mike Trout deal, i'd love to be smoking what he is obviously smoking.

i got some football cards at Rite Aid yesterday. there were a few decent cards in the box. i really liked the one Justin Fields rookie card in it.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW Rampage was fantastic last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty funny last night.

A Black Lady Sketch Show was fucking hilarious last night.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Ottawa. if the Rangers win, they will clinch a playoff spot. a win would also give them 100 points on the season and they would be tied for the division lead.

the USWNT plays a friendly today against Uzbekistan.

i'm sure i will watch some MLS games today as well.

it did fucking snow this morning a little. nothing really stuck, at least so far.

congrats to Obi Toppin for setting his career high in points last night.

opening day...

today is opening day for the New York Yankees. i was hoping to be reporting that the Yankees have signed Aaron Judge before the game, but of course, when you wait to the last minute to do this shit, it hardly ever comes to fruition. so, i'm not going to be shocked when Judge has a monster season and then the Yankees watch him go sign in California for one of those teams. as usual, just fucking stupid. so yeah, hopefully the Yankees get off to a good start and win today against Boston. i'm sure i will watch some of the game and most likely sleep through the rest of it.

the New York Rangers won last night over Pittsburgh, 3-0. they are 2 points behind Carolina for first place in the division.

Atlanta was fucking amazing last night.

How We Roll was pretty funny last night.

NJPW was good last night.

Desus & Mero was hilarious last night.

i did get a hold of the dealership this morning about mom's Highlander. the first appointment they had for me is on Wednesday. of course it is.

at some point today, i need to go to Rite Aid. since they are saying it might snow tonight, i'll get that done long before any of that shit happens. hopefully.

i should be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the morning. i'm hoping i will be in a good mood.

it never fails...

so, as i was taking my mother to her doctor's appointment today, the check engine light came on in the Highlander. again. now, i have learned over time, if the light stays solid and doesn't blink, the vehicle is fine to drive. so, i have to call the dealership in the morning and see when i can bring it up there to see what the fuck is wrong now.

as for my mother's doctor's appointment, she got all the questions she had answered. hopefully, given the new pills, she'll finally get some relief from the pain.

here are your three videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

AEW Dynamite was very good last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy last night.

Snowfall was awesome last night. just two episodes left in the season.

i think i have to take mom to her accountant tomorrow. i'm not sure what time. i know i have some shit to get at Rite Aid tomorrow as well.

maybe i enjoy the pain...

there was a creepy ass fog here last night and into the morning. the kind of fog that gives Stephen King a hard on. there was enough moisture that my arthritis was fucking killing me all damn night and all of this morning. so, between the arthritis and my pinched nerve in my neck, shaving was a bit of a fucking chore today. but, i got it done. the grocery shopping was done in the rain today. that wasn't any fucking fun. besides, bagging my own groceries at Kroger is always an interesting job. i did get some baseball cards at Rite Aid today. there was about $10 worth in the box.

here are your three videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

and then came the rain...

so, i had another night where i got to bed around 5 AM. good times. i was up a little after 8 AM this time. i did manage to get a few hours this afternoon in my massage chair. the joys of a little ice on the back and a boring ass baseball game. that always does the trick. of course, i could have done without the rain today. fuck,

running on fumes...

i got to bed around 5 AM this morning. i was up and out of bed at 9 AM. my mother pretty much fell asleep at the same time i did. she got out of bed today at 4 PM. i would have to slip into a coma to ever sleep that long.

i went to the bank today. for some fucking reason, the bank i normally go to was closed. so, i had to drive a town over to go to that bank. that took way longer than it should have. after that, i drove back to Trotwood to go to Big Lots. i had a coupon to use. of course, they didn't have any baseball, football or basketball cards. i found the Jim Beam coffee i like. i also got a new mat for our front door. a couple of toys (Batman, Star Wars) and a better storage box for the cards. i was hoping it would come up to $40 so i could use the coupon i had. it was $33. fuck.

night 2 of WrestleMania was good last night. not as good as night 1, but i think it was better than what i was expecting. i'm hoping that Monday Night Raw tonight is fucking crazy.

the New York Rangers lost last night to the Flyers, 4-3 in a shootout. i'm happy they were able to at least get a fucking point out of the game.

the joys of nostalgia...

so night 1 of WrestleMania was better than i think anyone was ever expecting. my favorite moments were Cody Rhodes coming back as the American Nightmare, using everything he used while he was in AEW. that was like WWE admitting, yeah, you guys did it better and we can't think of something better than that... and the work of Kevin Owens in his match against Stone Cold Steve Austin was perfect. and the bumps that Austin took after not having a match in 19 years were fucking insane. honestly, if night 2 is even close to last night, this will be one of the best WrestleManias in years.

NXT Stand & Deliver was excellent as well yesterday.

Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.

i did get to watch Jerrod Carmichael's comedy special Rothaniel yesterday. it was fucking great, as usual.

before i get going on all the wrestling last night, here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

AEW Rampage was very good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

Back On the Record with Bob Costas was good last night.

i'm going to watch Jerrod Carmichael's comedy special this afternoon.

welcome to National Poetry Month...

so, today has been a little crazy. mom got sick and had to cancel her physical therapy appointment. i have no clue if she has a cold coming on or if stress is getting her sick again. that is one thing that she has never learned how to handle. fun fun fun.

welcome to National Poetry Month. my plan is to do three poetry videos everyday. plus, i am hoping to get a few of my poems up on SoundCloud and share those as well. so here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

i did watch the World Cup draw today. the USA is in Group B with England, Iran and whoever wins the playoff between Scotland, Wales and Ukraine. i don't mind this group as i think the boys can finish first or second in it. i would prefer them to finish first as that most likely means they will miss playing the Netherlands, who should win Group A.

Young Sheldon was very good last night.

United States of Al was pretty funny last night.

How We Roll was good last night.

Atlanta was fucking great last night.
