here comes the ache from the rain...

it finally started to storm here in the last hour or so. you could feel it building for days. no wonder i have been in pain for the last few days i guess...

i sent out 15 poems today; 5 each to Otoliths, Live Nude Poems and Synchronized Chaos. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

Axios was excellent last night.

Fuck That's Delicious was hilarious last night.

Songland was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Deadliest Catch and WWE Backstage.

i need to pick up the trash, so that's all for me kids.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

i hope everyone is well, still thirsty for the revolution...

fuck the police.

fuck racism.

fuck hatred.

fuck fascism.

supposedly, winter will be here soon...

it was near 50 degrees when i took mom to her doctor's appointment today. they are saying tomorrow will be around 30 and maybe some snow. i'll believe that when i see it.

the doctor's appointment went well, i guess. mom got the results for her MRI. it showed that her back is slightly worse. i told her no matter how the insurance company tries to spin it, slightly worse is still worse no matter what. the doctor ordered some physical therapy for her. i thought she should be doing that all the while she was getting the injections. i'm hoping the physical therapy helps her. at the very least, if she does it twice a week, that's twice a week for me to be in a waiting room writing poems.

speaking of poems, i heard from Mark at Otoliths on my poetry submission from before Christmas. he decided to pass on the poems. well, got my first rejection of 2019 out of the way.

Monday Night Raw was okay last night. i really enjoyed the beginning and the end. as for the middle of the show, thank god the football game was on.

i was a little surprised that Clemson beat the living shit out of Alabama last night. i thought Clemson definitely had a chance to win the game, but i don't think anyone saw a blowout coming. Clemson won 44-16.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Smackdown.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Las Vegas. i fully expect the Rangers to lose tonight. i'm hoping the opposite now will happen since i have put that into the universe, though i doubt it.

hopefully, i avoid all of the asshole that runs this country and his lies tonight on television.

i stopped at the grocery store on the way home to pick up mom's prescriptions. thankfully, everything was ready. i didn't want to come out tomorrow in case it is actually bad.

the trash is all picked up. i'm hoping it doesn't blow away this evening with all this wind.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. if all goes well, the first poems submitted of 2019 will take place in the morning.

have a good one kids.

tricking the brain into not realizing it should hurt...

it started to rain last night i think. when it did, i was busy destroying my brain by doing as many things as possible at the moment. i was watching wrestling, and porn, and going through poems to send out today. i'd like to think of that as a kind of dirtbag renaissance man, especially since i was also drinking at the time. by the time i fell asleep, my body didn't know it was supposed to be in pain from the rain coming down. of course, waking up this morning and the pain was fucking horrible. this is when i wish i was like a normal person and the rain would actually help me sleep better.

so yeah, i sent out 21 poems today. 3 each to Mad Swirl and Red Eft Review; 5 each to Otoliths, Misfit Magazine and Alien Buddha Press. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

NXT was really good last night.

both episodes of NXT UK were good last night.

205 Live was very good last night.

the Dayton Flyers won last night over Western Michigan, 85-72. Dayton should have won the game by 30 or more, but they refuse to just bury shitty teams. to me, that's on the coach being unable to instill that killer instinct into the team, most likely because the coach doesn't possess it either. it was good to see Josh Cunningham make some damn free throws and Obi Toppin was a ridiculous 11 for 11 from the field last night. the man is a dunking machine.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and WWE Tribute to the Troops.

i did listen to episode 217 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2018/12/20/notsam-wrestling-217-jay-lethal

i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store. i'm hoping i won't have a fucking scroll to take with me, but i probably will. and i'll probably have to make another trip since i'm going to just go ahead and assume something will be wrong with mom's pills. joy.

i guess i should start wrapping some gifts tonight. if my arthritis isn't winning the war, that will begin tonight. if not, there's always the weekend.

goodbye for now kids...

the sun will come back someday i guess

today was yet another cloudy, rainy, gloomy day. perfect for a poet, if that poet wasn't riddled with arthritis.

i did send out 27 poems today; 6 to ZYX, 5 each to Otoliths, Shot Glass Journal and Synchronized Chaos, 3 each to The Beatnik Cowboy and Bluepepper. when i hear back from these places (i've already heard back good news from Synchronized Chaos) i will post the verdicts.

the New York Yankees held on for a 3-2 victory yesterday over Tampa. the Yankees start a series tonight at home against Baltimore. they are 3 1/2 games behind Boston in the division.

Mr. Mercedes was excellent last night.

Big Brother went as i expected last night. Alex was evicted. Paul is the new HOH. i believe he also won the POV, so Christmas will evict the next house guest. that will probably be Kevin. Paul has already said he wants to take Josh to the final 2. hopefully that plan blows up in his face.

You're the Worst was great last night.

Total Bellas was pretty damn funny last night.

Lucha Underground was celebrating its 100th episode last night. i would say about 95 out of the 100 have been excellent.

NXT was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, The Chris Gethard Show, Better Things and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2017/9/14/wrestling-podcast-151-cfo

i made a little trip over to Meijer today after i went to the post office. i needed some picture frames (on sale) and a few odds and ends and mom was low on Diet Coke (on sale). so, i figure i would get that today while i was out. i know how the drug fiends get when they are going without.

i need to go to the grocery store tomorrow, so i will probably be on here after that.

i believe the fucking sun is supposed to come out tomorrow. it would be nice if the weekend was at least fucking bearable here.

until tomorrow my friends.

and then all the hours start running together...

so when i last left you, i was on my way to the grocery store...

i first had to make yet another run to Rite-Aid for mom. thankfully, they had both things i was looking for. i brought them back home as mom was in the middle of a phone call with her surgeon. apparently mom's pain number was up at 9. even i know, that's not good. so the surgeon wanted us to come in this afternoon. more on that later. i had to go to the grocery store, but before i did, i had a nasty shit to take. one of those shits that i knew i will be walking around in the store and some sweat will run down my back into the cauldron of shit and blood festering in my asshole. (some artist in Sweden is smiling) while at the store, i wasn't able to find everything mom wanted, so i compensated the best way i know how; candy and ice cream. i got back home and got all the groceries put away and then mom told me i needed to go back to the store to get the better pain drugs the doctor ordered for her to take immediately. oh goody, so right back to where i just was. i figured since i was out, i'd get dinner as well.

i didn't sleep well as i know mom doesn't do too well when she has to take the "hard" shit. thankfully, she did sleep well and her pain level this morning was down to a 3. the surgeon sent one of his nurses out to the house this morning to check on mom and get a visual of what was going on. i guess the white stuff at the top of her incision was just some fatty tissue that got wet, nothing to worry about. mom's pain level got so high because she did too damn much in a day. walking back and forth from the kitchen to her bedroom a few times and then also to the computer and back. the nurse had to remind her this morning that she shouldn't be even trying to do that much walking until 2 weeks after the surgery. since mom's pain level was down, we didn't have to make the trip to the doctor's office today. thank god. i don't think we have enough drugs here to get mom through that car ride.

she's been more or less in her recliner all day today. they told her to let her incision air out some, as that should help the healing. hopefully she won't have her pain level shoot up any higher again.

i heard from my good friend Debbie last night. i'm amazed that she's still alive. she doesn't know for how much longer and i gave her (more or less) permission to die if she needs to. as i get older, i honestly see why so many people just need out.

a little poetry update... i heard back from Mark at Otoliths on my recent poetry submission. he decided to pass on the 5 i sent. so June is off to a good start; 5 published, 5 rejected. oh well.

the New York Yankees lost last night to Baltimore 10-4. they start a series in Toronto tonight.

i didn't watch much of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final last night. hopefully Nashville figures out a way to win at home.

NXT was really good last night.

thank fucking god Lucha Underground is back. the show last night reminded me why i love professional wrestling.

the internet is going in and out at the moment. this is the reason why i should have never stopped smoking marijuana. i never was stressed out when i was stoned. FUCK.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals finally starts tonight. i really couldn't give a shit who wins, i just want the games to be close.

i actually caught up on some podcasts today.

i listened to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast. you can find that by going here:
https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-028-alan-alda-and-mary-jean

i also listened to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2017/6/1/wrestling-podcast-136-marty-scurll

that's pretty much all for now. i need to figure out what i'm making for dinner and whether mom is going to eat in her room or saunter out to the kitchen table.

i'm sure at some point i'm just going to be too fucking exhausted to exist any longer. i'll try to give a little warning before that happens.

happy Memorial Day

i hope everyone has a very happy Memorial Day. my thanks to everyone who has died for this country. my hope is that no one will have to die for it again, but i know that's not possible. at least not until humans no longer exist.

i sent out 16 poems this morning; 6 to The Chicago Record and 5 each to Easy Street and Otoliths. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

the New York Yankees got the first career grand slam from Aaron Judge yesterday to beat the A's 9-5. they start a series at Baltimore this afternoon.

i did watch a little of the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 yesterday.

Silicon Valley was hilarious last night.

Veep was even more hilarious last night.

Twin Peaks was an excellent mindfuck once again.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Gotham. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the Stanley Cup Final starts tonight. i might check out a little bit of the game.

my one Memorial Day tradition is watching the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Finals. i will be watching that later today and for the first time ever, Ohio State will be playing in it.

my mother actually got some good sleep for a change. i know she's really looking forward to the bandages coming off. maybe then she'll feel good enough to sleep in a bed instead of the recliner.

i don't mind having my sister here, i'm just concerned if she actually knows there is something other than Golden Girls on the television. you would think she wouldn't continue to watch it after i bought her every episode for Christmas a few years ago. oh well.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day. if you are actually enjoying the long holiday weekend, take it easy. for the rest of the world, hope you have a good Monday.
