i have been watching pro wrestling for roughly 46 of my 48 years on this planet. i can be very cynical with the product at times, but when something blows my mind, it charges all of my senses. last night was one of those nights. i was absolutely devastated when Bray Wyatt died. his brother talked about doing something that would be a tribute to his legacy. if the debut last night of the Wyatt Sicks was the start of that, they are off to a magnificent beginning. i had tears in my eyes seeing the characters come to life and what this could become as a real life horror movie right before our eyes. this was easily the best Monday Night Raw in quite some time. and i absolutely can't wait to see what comes next.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

and now, the heat...
we're under an excess heat warning all week. joy. and of course, it would be this week, when both mom and i have doctor's appointments and she has two physical therapy appointments.
the New York Yankees lost last night at Boston, 9-3. sadly, it looks like the Yankees can whip every other team in the league, but struggle against their own division. hopefully, that starts being different soon since they start a series at home against Baltimore tomorrow night.

this is a day that has me torn...
as most of you know, i had a horrible relationship with my father. So, father's day hasn't really meant anything to me since my stepfather, the first male to ever treat me with any fucking respect, died. but, today also happens to be my mother's birthday. i was hoping that thought would be the prevalent one today. but, as usual with this fucking family, mom is depressed and woe is me ever since last night. so, the breakfast i wanted to make her she doesn't want. yeah, going to be one of those days i guess. the joy of being a poet. ultimately, it is all fucking content.
that being said, i do hope she likes the gifts i got her.
WWE Clash at the Castle yesterday was excellent.

and here we go...
so, i am going to try to fly through this as i am running behind this morning. of course, nearly 4 hours of sleep can do that to you sometimes.
mom and i did go out to lunch yesterday after her physical therapy. she wanted to go to this new Mexican restaurant in town. amazingly, it was really good. the closest thing i have had to "real" Mexican food in years. i can definitely see this place becoming one of my favorites.
after that, i typed up the two poems i wrote when we got back home. i did watch some of the Euro 2024 yesterday. Germany destroyed Scotland, 5-1.

at least there was some rain...
yesterday was a challenge in managing my frustration. as usual, i mostly failed. between the Yankees losing, doing my laundry and trying to fold clothes with a pinched nerve, etc. etc. and then of course, it rained last night. joy.
the Yankees lost yesterday at the Royals, 4-3. nothing like almost winning a game you probably shouldn't have and your closer blows it. fuck me. they start a series tonight at Boston.

here comes the heat...
it is supposed to get hot today and stay that way for over a week. oh joy.
the Yankees won last night at the Royals, 11-5. they go for the sweep this afternoon.

goodbye to the logo...
i actually got sleep last night. a little over 4 hours in my massage chair. i was taking my blood sugar this morning and the news flashed on my phone just as i was watching the Dan Patrick Show. Jerry West had died. i knew Dan was going to be crushed by this as i have seen over the years what Jerry West meant to the show. as someone that loves basketball, Jerry West is one of those Mount Rushmore guys that are bigger than life. the man is the logo of the NBA. there was probably no classier man that has lived on this earth. if you don't know much about him, do yourself a favor and dive down the rabbit hole and learn everything. it will be worth your time.
the grocery shopping went pretty well today, other than my back pain. now, on the way home, i was stuck downwind from a fertilizer truck. and i'm supposed to believe people when they tell me god loves me.
the New York Yankees won last night at the Royals, 10-1. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

learning to thrive on 3 hours of sleep...
i shouldn't be trying to get used to only 3 hours of sleep, but welcome to my reality. the trick is figuring out how to use the other 21 hours to my advantage. that is where the urgency of now comes into play. helps that i won over $200 gambling last night as well.
the New York Yankees won last night at the Royals, 4-2. hopefully, they will win again tonight.
