chaos seems to be a constant theme in this country lately. yesterday, college football decided to get into it. with 3 of the top 4 losing, that means Ohio State will most likely be 2nd in the country. that also means they could be in the awkward position of winning out, not making the Big 10 championship game and still making the Final 4 of college football. ah, fucking chaos.
Ohio State whipped Maryland yesterday 62-3. it was the first time Ohio State ever scored 60 or more points in back to back weeks.
Pittsburgh defeated #2 Clemson on a last second field goal. Iowa did the same to #3 Michigan. and USC defeated #4 Washington last night. 2 of those victories were on the road, even more impressive. now, the funny thing is if Ohio State and Penn St. both win out, Penn St. advances to the Big 10 championship game because of their victory over Ohio State. but, i would think Ohio St. would still be #2 in the polls, so i could honestly see them still making the playoffs for all of college football. chaos, so beautiful.
the New York Rangers got back to winning last night, defeating Calgary 4-1. they got goals from all 4 lines. i love how fucking deep this team is. they play again tonight at Edmonton.
Saturday Night Live was fucking great last night. Dave Chappelle was as funny as i can ever remember him. A Tribe Called Quest was excellent as well. i thought all the sketches were hilarious. it's definitely an episode i'll keep on the DVR.
ROH was great last night.
Austin City Limits was really amazing last night. 2 of my favorite musical acts going; My Morning Jacket and Ben Harper. the episode was so damn good i watched it again this morning.

on the DVR tonight will be Westworld, Divorce, Insecure, Last Week Tonight, Shameless and Masters of Sex.
the New Orleans Saints play at home today against Denver. if they can pull out a victory, they will greatly increase their chances of actually making the playoffs this season.
i might actually do a little writing today and figuring out where the next batch of poems will be going to.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

the ceremony last night that the Dayton Flyers had for Big Steve was really good. they presented his mother with his championship ring from winning the A10 last season. when she started to cry it took everything i had from not weeping. the whole team then gathered around Big Steve's family and hugged each other. Big Steve will always be missed and he will always be a Flyer.
Dayton came out and absolutely dominated Austin Peay from start to finish last night. Charles Cooke scored 31 points, 24 of those came in the first half. you know it's always a successful first game of the season when the walk-ons are playing at the end. Dayton won 96-68. they next play at Alabama on Tuesday.
i got home just in time to turn on the Mexico vs. USA World Cup qualifying game. sure enough, 30 seconds after i turned it on, Mexico scored to take a 2-1 lead. fuck me runnin'. i didn't feel like watching any highlights or figuring out why the USA lost the game. it was their first home qualifying loss in 15 years. i did read about shit this morning though. as usual, the coach out thought himself once again and fucked things up. now, the game in Costa Rica is a MUST for the team. they will be fucked if they don't get a result in the game.
the 2 shows on DirecTV about Butch Walker last night were really good. if you haven't heard of Butch Walker, i highly suggest you seek his music out.
the 2 episodes of NJPW were excellent last night.
Vice News Tonight had another excellent week of reporting.
the season finale of Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night. i think he had some excellent points that Democrats truly need to fucking learn if they want to start winning elections again.
i also watched Bert Kreischer's special on Showtime, The Machine. i was laughing my ass off at 4 in the morning. too fucking funny. i highly recommend it.

i had to take a piss sample to the doctor's office this morning and pick up my mother's long term disability paperwork. i'm interested to see what comes back in the piss after a night of drinking.
Ohio State plays at Maryland later this afternoon. hopefully they come back with a victory.
the New York Rangers play tonight out in Calgary. hopefully they can get back on a winning streak.
i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow before the New Orleans Saints play a huge game at home against Denver.

there was only a few people in my life that truly caught my brain, my soul, my essence with their talent. sadly, now all of them are dead. when i got the news last night that Leonard Cohen had died, i was devastated. i knew he was near his death, but i certainly wasn't expecting it so soon after he released his last album. his voice has been the narrator of my dreams and nightmares since i was in high school. i would devour his music, his poetry, anything the man was associated with as i was growing up. i truly believe Leonard Cohen shaped my wisdom and poetry as much as Bukowski and Burroughs did. for that, i will forever be in debt to you. thank you for everything. you gave more than this world ever deserved. rest in peace and safe travels.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Big Bang Theory was very funny last night.
Life in Pieces was fucking hilarious last night. i wonder if i should have my ashes turned into jewelry.
the season finale of Better Things was great. i have high hopes for next season of this show.
i had the misfortune of watching the Sacramento Kings lose to the fucking Lakers last night while i was icing down my back. talk about fucking torture.
enjoy some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, 2 episodes of NJPW, a couple of shows on Butch Walker on DIRECTV and i haven't decided if i'm going to record the soccer game tonight or not.
the USA takes on Mexico tonight in World Cup Qualifying. they are playing in Columbus, where Mexico absolutely hates to play. hopefully the boys get a big win tonight.
i'll be at the home opener of the Dayton Flyers tonight. they are playing against Austin Peay. Dayton will celebrate Big Steve tonight before the game. it's still a bit of a shock to realize he's dead. it will take some getting used to watching the team without him out there. i'm really hoping Dayton plays great tonight with urgency and purpose. they have what it takes to make this a special season.
i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i hope everyone has a great weekend.
happy Veterans Day to everyone that has served this country. thank you for your service.

my morning routine was thrown off today so i decided to catch up on some podcasts and get the grocery shopping done. by going in the afternoon, i get to get to some of the food before the elderly have ransacked the place. i did see one amazing looking woman while i was there. something about black women that are over 6 feet tall that certainly gets my imagination racing. so, i'm sure there will be some poems. i got everything mom wanted and kept it under $100. so, today was good, so far.
the season finale of Total Bellas last night was good. Total Divas starts back up next week.
American Horror Story was fucking fantastic last night. the season finale next week looks great.
You're The Worst was great last night. their season finale next week will be 1 hour long. i love when they go long with an episode, it's usually amazing.
Any Given Wednesday finished up its only season on air last night. much like the last few episodes, it felt like Bill Simmons was just cashing the check.
Lip Sync Battle was fucking hilarious last night.
NXT was really good last night. they are doing a great job of setting up the next Takeover event in Toronto.
Lucha Underground was fucking great last night. just 2 matches, but both of them were spectacular. next week is Aztec Warfare.

i will probably also watch some of the football game tonight, mostly because of my opponents fantasy teams this week.
watching Donald Trump's face today when he met with President Obama was hilarious. it's painfully obvious that he never expected to win and now he actually has to run the damn country. talk about being in way over your fucking head.
my sister is out in Seattle with a friend for a long weekend. she texted mom last night that they were going down to the protest. i didn't think anything of it until i saw that there was a shooting. of course, i didn't find out until 6 hours later that the shooting had nothing to do with the protest. typical fucking media. i talked to my sister today. she seems to be really enjoying Seattle. she said it's way too expensive to live there, but she's never seen a city support their artists any better.
that's all for me kids. i'll be on here in the morning tomorrow as i will be going to the Dayton Flyers college basketball game tomorrow night.

remember when the Cubs won the World Series and i said welcome to the apocalypse, the world is coming to an end. and you thought i was joking.
truthfully speaking, i didn't like any of the candidates running for President. the only person involved in government that comes close to my way of thinking is Bernie Sanders. but i never truly thought this country would be so fucking stupid. i forget who said it first, but it's a statement that i have remembered since i was in high school.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE IGNORANCE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE
i feel sorry for my sister and my mother. and honestly any woman in this country that actually thinks this country believes they are equals to men. it's painfully obvious that so many in this country don't think that way or choose to never believe it. the number of white women that gleefully just elected a person who brags about sexual assault is not only confusing to me but quite frankly, fucking disgusting. i wonder if these will be the same women bitching when Roe v. Wade gets overturned or when there suddenly are no women on the Supreme Court anymore. but, part of the blame deserves to be on Hillary as well. only someone in the elite of this country could actually believe that you deserve to be the President because it is your turn. this should signal the time for the entire Clinton part of the Democratic party to go away.
also, the news media, as i have told many of you for years, never tells you the truth. Ray Bradbury told an audience i was in years ago to never listen or watch the local or national news. go find the truth for yourself.
as someone who went to a black high school, i learned very quickly in life that being a racist would get me killed. it's appalling to me that so many fucking whites in this country didn't get the chance to learn that lesson. and now, they feel like they have a voice at the table since their leader just got elected. how the fuck did people actually believe that racism ended when Obama got elected? i'll be shocked if the KKK doesn't ask for a meeting at the White House at some point in the next 4 years.
lastly, i hope the people that voted for Trump do realize, you did not elect a President, you elected a King. politicians govern, kings rule. and Trump will rule, trust me. he has NEVER given two shits about the poor at anytime in his fucking life. anything coming out of his mouth about it now is complete and utter bullshit. what is even worse is the Vice President Elect. here is a man that believes women should have the rights they had in the 1800's and nothing more. and i'm sure the religious right is thrilled that he is there to push their backward ass agenda for this country. so many poor white people truly believe that a rich old white guy is going to give them the magic ticket one day. this is how people get rich you dumb fucks, taking advantage of you stupid people.
and people have the fucking gall to ask me why i don't vote. this is exactly why. i do not want to be associated with the stupid fucks who think their civic duty is to pick the lesser of two evils.
now i must figure out which pro marijuana state i am moving to or find some really cheap property in Costa Rica and never come back.
----
add on top of that bullshit last night, the New York Rangers lost to a Vancouver team that had lost 9 games in a row, 5-3. just one of those nights where nothing went well for the boys. they couldn't get anything going and they paid for it. they are off until the weekend.
i did see that the Sacramento Kings won again last night. that's 2 in a row now.
Smackdown was pretty good last night. it at least provided me a decent distraction from the election.

i heard back on my poetry submission from Easy Street yesterday. they decided to pass on the 5 poems i sent. i did appreciate the comments on why the poems weren't accepted. that definitely will be remembered.
i wrote 5 poems this afternoon after a quick trip to the grocery store to get mom's medications. surprisingly, only 2 were about the election. i've got a stack to send out here in a few days probably.
that's all for me today. i've got to figure out what i'm going to do for health insurance when the Republicans kill Obamacare and replace it with what we used to have. especially considering i am a Type 2 diabetic now, it will be interesting.

while i am thankful this fucking election cycle ends today, it won't solve anything, it won't change anything, and it certainly won't end the divisiveness in this country. what's worse, if you're not a sports fan, there is basically nothing else on television tonight other than the election, thank god i'll have other shit to watch.
The Voice last night was like watching 3 nights crammed into one. everyone performed and 20 performers became 12 by the end of the night. just about everyone i wanted to advance did, so i'm not too pissed. here's a few of my favorites from last night:
Gotham was fucking great last night. the show gets better each damn week.
Monday Night Raw was taped since they are over in Scotland. so, i knew most of what happened. that made it pretty damn easy to fast forward a bunch of shit. i enjoyed The New Day doing Braveheart and the main event where Kevin Owens mistakenly pinned Chris Jericho sets up plenty of possibilities for the future. but, as usual, 3 hours is just too damn long.
enjoy some more music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Smackdown.
the New York Rangers will look to extend their winning streak tonight at home against a struggling Vancouver team. hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer later tonight. i'll probably need it.
i'm not a big fan of the trade the Rangers made today. why give up a young defenseman that can actually fight for an older defenseman that you more or less already have on your roster. that's a fucking head scratcher for me.
i'll probably also do a little writing tonight. it's supposed to be raining, so that will be how i deal with misery.
i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade this afternoon. i'll post the links below in the music section.
that's all for me kids. i'm off to the shower.

you ever have one of those days where you just have to get the fuck out of the house? today was that day for me. i knew mom needed a bigger flowerpot for this flower she has growing in the kitchen, so there was my excuse. of course, i didn't think i would have to go to 3 different stores to find what the fuck i was looking for. even the Lowe's i went to had fucking Christmas shit all over the place. talk about turning my mood to shit rather quickly. but it did feel good to get a little sunshine and be away from the house for a bit. of course, when i got back home, mom told me that our neighbors called looking for me. apparently my uncle was out on his scooter and it died right next door and he needed to be pushed back home. i went over there after i ate lunch and said shit, i guess missed all the excitement today. that turned into 30 minutes talking about politics and jesus fucking christ, i can't wait until November 9th.
the New Orleans Saints got back to .500 with a 41-23 victory out in San Francisco yesterday. now, the true test comes. they play Denver at home next week. if they win that game, i'll actually believe that they might just have a chance in the division.
the New York Rangers kept the winning and the scoring going last night. they defeated Winnipeg 5-2. this is the first time they have scored 5 goals or more in 5 straight victories since the 1978-79 season. the Rangers went to the Stanley Cup Final that year. they play again tomorrow at home against Vancouver.
even the damn Sacramento Kings won last night, defeating Toronto 96-91. nothing quite like a night full of alcohol...
Westworld was spectacular last night. a very nice twist at the end that should make the show even more interesting now. Insecure was very funny last night. Divorce was very funny as well. Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as always. Shameless was great once again last night. Masters of Sex was very good as well.

for those of who actually believe in the government, i do hope you vote tomorrow. for those of you like me and don't believe in it, sit back and laugh at everyone bitching about the one who lost. and if Hillary does win and Trump's supporters go ape shit over it, at least the cops will have something to do then. i enjoy chaos a little more than anyone else it seems. but honestly, i just want the fucking election over with. lord knows, people will start running for the 2020 presidency before too long.

i thought Ohio State was going to have a tough game last night. little did i know that it was going to be their most dominant performance of the season. they whipped #10 Nebraska 62-3 last night. i really hope this is the breakout performance all of us have been waiting for. the defense scored 2 touchdowns last night, J.T. Barrett looked great again and they seemed to have finally realized that Curtis Samuel must touch the ball more than just a handful of times each game. i suppose i'll know for sure next week at Maryland.
i forgot to mention yesterday the update on mom. the doctor she saw on Friday was pretty straightforward with her. she needs a new hip and she needs back surgery. they recommended she gets the shots into her spine to help decrease the inflammation with her discs in her back, but that is only to buy them time to decide which surgery comes first. as he was telling her this, i was just thinking to myself how i wish she would have never put off her hip replacement. she's known she's needed it for more than 18 months now. so the first injection will be the Monday after Thanksgiving. oh joy, the holidays...
the New York Rangers defeated Boston last night, 5-2. they gave up the first goal once again last night but i am convinced now it doesn't matter. the Rangers remind me of the teams i grew up watching that would use their speed to force you to make mistakes. they scored 2 short handed goals last night and a power play goal as well. there's the difference in the game. they play again tonight at home against Winnipeg. hopefully they will get their fifth win in a row tonight.
Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night. from start to finish, i was laughing my ass off. do yourself a favor and go find the clips or watch the show, it's worth it.
ROH last night was really good. i'm interested to see how the new Kingdom works out.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Westworld, Divorce, Insecure, Last Week Tonight, Shameless and Masters of Sex.
the New Orleans Saints play out in San Francisco this afternoon. a win against the 49ers will put them back at .500 on the season. i really hope they take care of business against a team they should beat.
Manchester United got 2 goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a screamer from Paul Pogba to defeat Swansea City today 3-1. other than the usual second half brain fart, it was a very good game for United. sadly, Zlatan picked up a yellow card, so he'll miss the next game against Arsenal. fuck. but, time for me to go enjoy a victory beer.
i turned back the clocks last night one hour like you're supposed to. i'm not sure we really need to do that any longer, but i know how this country holds on to shit much longer than we should. and honestly, turning the clock back 1 hour doesn't help a guy who doesn't sleep as it is.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

it actually felt a bit chilly when i went out to get the newspaper this morning. it's about fucking time.
the Dayton Flyers looked a little anxious last night, while Findlay, a division II school, looked like the team picked by many to win so many things this season. Dayton couldn't put the ball in the ocean for most of the first half. Findlay was draining shots from all over the court. Dayton didn't take the lead in the game until there was 7 minutes left in the second half. at least all the players that should be dominant for the Flyers were in the second half. Dayton also played without Kendall Pollard, who will hopefully play a large role this season. Dayton won 76-69. they start the regular season next Friday at home against Austin Peay.
i got home from the game in time to watch Real Time with Bill Maher. the interview with the President was excellent and the show reminded me just how fucking much i want this election to be over.
NJPW was excellent last night.
Vice News Tonight had another excellent week.
One & Done: Ben Simmons was very good last night. i think it was a very accurate portrayal of what happens when you make kids go to college when they don't want to. and i understand the NCAA's gripe against the NBA rule, but why don't colleges actually teach these kids that are only staying for at most 2 semesters some shit they could actually use? you know, like how to handle money, credit cards, mortgages, general business acumen, shit that they will need in a few months. oh, that's right, why the fuck would you want to teach someone with brown skin skills like that.

i'll probably get some cleaning done around the house today. lord knows i need to vacuum, clean the toilets and help mom with her laundry.
i'll be on here tomorrow most likely after Manchester United plays. the New Orleans Saints don't play until the late games start, so i'll have a nice little window to get the blog done. or, if i get a wild hair up my ass, i'll do it early in the morning.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

part of me wishes i was watching the Cubs victory parade right now, while the rest of me knows what it feels like already. but the greedy fucker in me always wants to win.
the grocery store went pretty good yesterday. i was somewhat stunned when this woman started talking to me. of course, it was over food for type 2 diabetics... i didn't really get a good vibe from her after our little conversation. that was affirmed to me when she saw me later in the store and looked away quickly. i caught a break on getting out of the grocery store though. instead of waiting in one of the 3 long ass lines, i just happened to get up there as one was opening up. that meant i got home in time for the hockey game.
the Rangers and Oilers played a back and forth game last night. thankfully, the Rangers got a lead late in the 3rd and held on to win 5-3. that's the good thing about offense sometimes, it can always bail you out.
The Big Bang Theory was hilarious last night.
Life in Pieces was hilarious as well last night.
Better Things was great last night. i can't wait to see the season finale next week.

i will be at the University of Dayton tonight watching the Dayton Flyers play their exhibition game against Findlay. for the first time ever, Dayton has sold out an exhibition game, so it should be crazy. there are a ton of expectations this season. hopefully the seniors can lead them to another great season.
i need to get ready to take mom to her doctor's appointment. i'm hoping this gets the ball rolling for her to get some treatment to actually get her back working like it should again.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

Game 7 of the World Series last night was fucking crazy. the Cubs got out to a big lead and then blew it (of course). the game went to extra innings, had a rain delay, crazy manager decisions, a little bit of everything. the Cubs won the game 8-7 in 10 innings for their first World Series title since 1908. i know a good number of Cubs fans that thought this day would never happen. so, enjoy the fuck out of it. you deserve it.
Lip Sync Battle was pretty funny last night.
Any Given Wednesday was really good last night.
You're The Worst was very good last night.
American Horror Story was bloody as hell once again last night. i'm very curious to see who makes it to the end of the season still alive.
Lucha Underground was good last night.
Total Bellas was a little sad once again last night.
NXT was really good. i think i got done watching everything around 3 in the morning.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Edmonton. two high powered offenses that are clicking... this might be one of those games that will look like a game out of the 80's. 7-5, 8-6, something crazy like that. or, knowing how the sports gods work, the game will be 1-0. hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer later tonight.
Manchester United got scored on today in the first 90 seconds of the game. it was a crazy fucking bicycle kick. they eventually went down 2-0 to Fenerbahce on a perfectly placed free kick. Wayne Rooney scored late to make it 2-1 but they could never find the equalizer. it might have helped if they wouldn't have waited to the end to actually show some fucking urgency. now, Manchester United is in danger of not making it out of the group stage of the Europa League. even worse, Paul Pogba got injured in the first half and given the team's luck at the moment, i'm sure he'll miss the weekend. they play Sunday at Swansea. The Special One will be watching from the stands as part of his punishment from the FA. when it rains, it fucking pours.
i need to go to the grocery store now. mom has medicine i need to pick up and i need to get a few other things. hopefully, i will be back before the hockey game starts tonight.
i'll be on here in the morning tomorrow.

i was sitting at the kitchen table and my mother asked me about the spots on my hand. i told her at first i thought they were pimples but they never went away. i figured they are probably cancer. i'm not overly concerned as i have no desire to live forever.
i sent out 8 poems today, 3 to Chiron Review and 5 to Synchronized Chaos. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.
The Voice was mostly a recap of the 20 performers that have made it to the live shows that start next week. i'm really ready to see how good these people really are.
Smackdown was really good last night once again.
the season finale of Atlanta was excellent last night. i can't wait to see season 2 of the show.
the New York Rangers whipped St. Louis last night, 5-0. it's easily been over 20 years since i remember the Rangers having an offense this potent. hopefully they play like this all season long.

i will probably also watch some of Game 7 of the World Series tonight. if Cleveland wins, i'll chalk it up to i graced them with my presence for the first time in my life this season. coincidence? no. if Chicago wins, honestly, the world is coming to a fucking end. that would explain this election, all the crazy shit going on in the world. welcome to the apocalypse boys and girls.
there's a cold front coming that is supposed to actually bring back season like temperatures. i'll believe it when i see it.
i'll be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game in the Europa League. they play a little earlier since they are playing in Turkey tomorrow.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so last night got pretty interesting around here. a cop got shot and a woman died at the Speedway gas station that is about 2 miles or so from the house. the manhunt went on for most of the night and part of the early morning. they eventually found the guy involved in this sleeping in a camper in the backyard of a house near a local church. i'm amazed at the number of people around here that don't lock their shit. apparently they still believe that that kind of shit only happens on the news, not to them. imagine their surprise. i figured correctly given this area, the people involved were white and most likely drugs were involved as well. considering they were coming from Tennessee and on their way to New York for a construction job, i definitely think weed, meth, cocaine or heroin or all of them were most likely involved. especially when the guy started crying on the morning news when he found out his girlfriend died in the crossfire. as you might imagine, there will be poems.
i did write 5 poems when i woke up this morning. i finally got the one that had been in my head for the last 3 days out. it's really fucking good. i think i'll be getting some poems ready for a submission by the end of this week.
The Voice was really good last night. i can't wait for the live shows.
Gotham was really fucking great last night.
Monday Night Raw was beyond fucking boring last night. if it wasn't for Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins, i probably wouldn't be watching the show. it really needs to completely overhaul the writing staff and take a clue from Smackdown. or, get rid of the third hour of the show or make that a showcase for other shit. and honestly, stop relying on nostalgia to carry the show.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Smackdown and the season finale of Atlanta.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against the Blues. hopefully they dominate them again but win this time.
i took a shower after i got everything done today (trash, feeding birds, etc.). while in the shower, i had a fart that smelled like a mix of shit and death. after i got out of the shower and started getting dressed, i rushed back to the toilet. while on the toilet, i felt like i was going to pass out. i guess that still gives me the hope that i'll die like Elvis one day. i think i got a little too much sun today and maybe the shower was too hot as well. it was damn near 80 fucking degrees outside today. i noticed the roses in the backyard by the bird feeders are blooming once again. i guess we're back to fucking summer again. being a type 2 diabetic now, i know i need to really keep an eye on my blood sugar. good times.
in better news, mom finally got an appointment to at least get her foot in the door with the guy who did my back 8 years ago. i have to take her there on Friday afternoon. that means the Friday blog will be in the morning as i have a college basketball game later that evening.
i got some great FREE music at NoiseTrade today. i'll put the link in the music section.
that's all for me today kids. take it easy and then take it again.
