i wrote 2 more poems last night. it seems like whenever it gets to this time of year, my brain comes back from the summer siesta to get on a rage. hopefully, i will be able to do some more writing tonight. of course, with the clocks falling back a hour, my body will not be cooperating.
the New York Rangers won last night, 2-1, at home over Ottawa.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

WWE Crown Jewel comes on today at noon. i will be watching that on Peacock.
Ohio State plays today at Penn State. if OSU wants to win a national championship this season, this is a MUST WIN game.
i'm sure i will watch plenty of college football today.
i will hopefully be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays at home against Chelsea.
if not, it will be sometime after the game, probably while the New Orleans Saints are boring me to death.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.
remember to change the clocks if you happen to live in a state where shit from the 1800's is still a thing.

i woke up this morning and found my mother sleeping in the living room. she said her back was really hurting and wanted to sleep in her massage chair with the heat on. as someone with a bad back, i understand all too well. thankfully, i was able to get her to the place to have her bloodwork done today. the sun was out, which at least made it a little pleasant. the wind was a bit wicked though.
congrats to the Texas Rangers on winning the World Series last night.
AEW Dynamite was very good last night.

i need to go figure out dinner, so that's all for me kids.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
my bad back has been killing me today. that always makes the grocery shopping a little more crazy than it needs to be. and then given that i also needed to get gas and mom had a scroll for a grocery list... fun fun fun.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, i just watched the Manchester United game in Italy. it finished 2-2 against Atalanta. now, usually a point on the road in the Champions League is cherished. i just sat through watching Varane get hurt, De Gea blowing an easy save and CR7 rescuing the team twice. and i had to watch it in Spanish. i suppose i should have done what my mother did, and go to sleep.
her doctor appointment today went well until she heard what time her surgery will be for her skin cancer. 7:30 AM. yesterday was hard enough having her up early to get to the doctor at 10. i'm not sure these people understand that these days are killing me faster than i can even do it to myself.
and since it is going to get down to 28 fucking degrees tonight, i had to turn on the furnace. welcome to winter.
the Dayton Flyers won last night over Cedarville, 94-60. they certainly look like a team that can score this season. i also like how they rebounded the ball. they have a few players that can really be a pest on defense. team defense was a bit of a problem at times. the transfer from Georgia is a fucking stud. the guy that really shocked me was the transfer from DePaul. Kobe Elvis looked really smooth at the point guard position. the real games start in a week. the digital ticketing process went pretty smooth. thankfully, i have an iPhone, so i didn't have any problems that the android people had.
by the time i got home last night, i was dead tired. i had some dinner, watched some tv, and i'm pretty sure i fell asleep soon after.
The Voice was good last night. the live shows start next week. tonight will be the recap of everyone that has made it to the live shows.
Monday Night Raw was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT and The Voice.
the New York Rangers play tonight in Vancouver. so, i will be up late watching that.

i didn't sleep well at all last night. i think the best sleep i got was when i should have been getting ready to take mom to her appointment. she had to wake me up and i busted my ass to get us there on time. more or less, we were. she got the injections and we were out of there before 9:30 i believe. i'm really hoping this round of injections work better now that the hip has been replaced.
NXT was pretty good last night. i am certainly looking forward to the next Takeover. i remember War Games when i was young. that should be a spectacle.
Total Divas was pretty good last night as well. it should be interesting to see how this season goes.
You're the Worst was fucking hilarious last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Chris Gethard Show, Better Things, Gotham, Will & Grace, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.
i didn't watch any of Game 7 of the World Series last night. i'm just glad it is over. now, the Yankees can get to hiring a new manager.
the New York Rangers play tonight in Tampa. the Rangers haven't won on the road yet this season. i highly doubt that changes tonight.
i think at some point tomorrow, probably after getting the grocery shopping done, i'll get together some poems for the next round of submissions. this should be a pretty big one. and i'd love to get that done before my interview comes up on the 13th.
that's all for me today kids.

i was sitting at the kitchen table and my mother asked me about the spots on my hand. i told her at first i thought they were pimples but they never went away. i figured they are probably cancer. i'm not overly concerned as i have no desire to live forever.
i sent out 8 poems today, 3 to Chiron Review and 5 to Synchronized Chaos. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.
The Voice was mostly a recap of the 20 performers that have made it to the live shows that start next week. i'm really ready to see how good these people really are.
Smackdown was really good last night once again.
the season finale of Atlanta was excellent last night. i can't wait to see season 2 of the show.
the New York Rangers whipped St. Louis last night, 5-0. it's easily been over 20 years since i remember the Rangers having an offense this potent. hopefully they play like this all season long.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Lip Sync Battle, American Horror Story, You're The Worst, Any Given Wednesday, Total Bellas and Lucha Underground. at some point tonight i'll watch NXT on WWE Network.
i will probably also watch some of Game 7 of the World Series tonight. if Cleveland wins, i'll chalk it up to i graced them with my presence for the first time in my life this season. coincidence? no. if Chicago wins, honestly, the world is coming to a fucking end. that would explain this election, all the crazy shit going on in the world. welcome to the apocalypse boys and girls.
there's a cold front coming that is supposed to actually bring back season like temperatures. i'll believe it when i see it.
i'll be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game in the Europa League. they play a little earlier since they are playing in Turkey tomorrow.

not much happened last night other than me feeling horrible for my mother who was in some horrific pain. i comforted her the best i could. always fun when your mother is openly talking to you about suicide. good times.
so i woke up this morning with a nasty shit that didn't seem to want to stop. i didn't have a good feeling about my day at that point, and then i walked out of the bathroom and noticed Chelsea had just lost. ok, maybe things will get better.
and they did.
Manchester United played their best 45 minutes of the season to get out to a 3-0 lead. of course, they just fucked around in the second half to win 3-1. first time they have won 2 games in a row in the league this season. hopefully they have turned the corner.
Ohio State absolutely mauled Purdue today. it was so bad i went to the grocery store at halftime. Ohio State won 56-0. i'll definitely enjoy that victory beer for sure.
i decided we didn't need much from the store so i went to the local grocery. just got some bread, some beer and some Diet Coke for mom. and since Ohio State was playing at the time, the store was basically empty. much better than i thought it would be.
so, tonight will be some more college football, the New York Rangers looking to win again, a new Saturday Night Live, ROH, and then trying to remember to turn my clocks back 1 hour.
all the while really hoping my mother starts to feel better soon. i can't imagine what she's going through with feeling dizzy at times with a loud buzzing going from one ear to the other. i'm tempted to put a little whiskey in her Diet Coke just to help ease the pain. my luck, it interacts with her other medicines and i'm in jail before too long. lovely.
i'm not going to the basketball game tonight by the way. i'm playing the good son. besides, it will be on the radio and it's only an exhibition game.
hope everyone is well, enjoying the fall colors, drinking a little too much, and pissing off all the neighbors.
