one day i'm sure arthritis will win this war with me...

when it rains like it has for the last couple of days, i basically know i am not going to get any good sleep. so, i basically live off of the three hours at night, a few naps here and there, etc. last night, i tried to write some poems and have that make me sleepy. after i typed up the 4 i wrote, sleep really didn't come. joy.

here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

the Yankees won last night at home against Arizona, 9-7. they start a series today at the Pirates.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage was pretty funny last night.

i did get my laundry started today. of course, my back has filed a protest, but when you run out of clean underwear...

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown.

i'm sure i will probably watch some of the women's Final Four tonight.

i'm going to try to be on here in the morning since the New York Rangers play early in the afternoon tomorrow.

i need to go to Kroger to pick up a prescription.

and i need to figure out what i'm having for lunch.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

until tomorrow kids...

welcome to the weekend...

so, i did a little work on my football cards last night. i separated all the rookies from the other good cards. just NBA and NHL to go now...

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

we did get all the Christmas decorations up last night. it's not nearly what we used to, but it's more than just nothing at least.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

Ohio State plays Northwestern today at noon for the Big Ten Championship. Ohio State will be missing some key players today, but hopefully, they get the victory.

the Dayton Flyers play today at home against Ole Miss. this will probably the last chance Dayton has to add a quality win over someone out of conference.

i'm sure i'll watch plenty of other college football games today as well.

there are also two NFL games on tonight that i'll probably watch some of. Buffalo plays at Denver and Carolina is at Green Bay.

i'm planning on being on here tomorrow in the morning before Manchester United plays.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

until tomorrow kids.

i wish my brain could just shut down for a few hours...

these endless cycles of falling asleep around 5 in the morning are eventually going to kill me. the question i ask myself always is will i actually get to truly fall in love before that happens or will i die like one of my sad poems? and the fact that that question is still being asked at the age 42 is not only sad, but fucking horrific. and as much as i want to believe that some woman is going to never believe her luck one day when she's with me, society has painted a completely different picture where my sad death alone seems like the only logical solution to any of this. and in between that gulf is where all the poems come from.

i wrote 3 poems today while mom was getting her x-rays done. we went out to Perkins for lunch. when i got home, i had a little scare. there was a tornado warning for the area where the muse lives. thankfully, she's okay. i did type the poems up. i do think they are pretty good. i should have another batch of poems ready to go in a few days.

the New York Yankees pissed away a lead yesterday and lost to Toronto, 3-2. thank fucking god they are off tonight. the loss means that all Boston has to do is beat the Yankees once in the next 3 games and Boston wins the division and gets to celebrate at Yankee Stadium. i figure that will take place tomorrow afternoon. joy.

the New Orleans Saints played like shit yesterday. but, thankfully, Cleveland's kicker decided he no longer wanted a job in the NFL anymore. he missed 2 extra points and 2 field goals yesterday as the Saints beat the Brows 21-18. the Saints easily should have lost the game. not good.

WWE Hell in a Cell was really good last night. most of the matches exceeded what i thought was going to happen. and there was a nice holy shit moment at the end of the night that certainly makes things a little more interesting.

Big Brother was pretty good last night.

The Deuce was really good last night.

Ballers was good last night.

Insecure was fucking hilarious last night.

America to Me was very good last night.

Shameless was great last night.

Kidding was excellent once again last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll spend most of the night watching Monday Night Raw.

the New York Rangers play their first pre-season game tonight at New Jersey. i will probably watch some of that.

i'll probably be on here in the morning tomorrow, before the Yankees game. at some point tomorrow afternoon mom wants me to take her down to Best Buy to finally get a new television for the living room. it's only been a little over a month now since it's gone out. we also have to look for a mount for the television in the kitchen as mom wants to put that up on the wall now.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

the remnants of Florence are making their way up the east coast now. i have way too many friends, fans, enemies and a certain woman i love in that area to not be concerned. i hope all of you are safe.

when the body starts breaking down...

sometime around 8 or 9 last night, i got this pain on the bottom of my left foot. i figure it's my abnormally high arch strained after everything i did yesterday. so, it looks like another day of sitting in my chair working on my pain tolerance. joy.

i did get the birds fed and take mom to the store before we had some rain roll through yesterday. i like to get the food to the birds when i know a storm is coming. they tend to panic easily.

the New York Yankees managed to take a 4-1 lead last night and lose 11-4 to the Angels. i have no damn clue why they pitched to Mike Trout last night. it makes no fucking sense. hopefully the Yankees can get the series win this afternoon.

i didn't watch much of the NBA playoffs last night. by the time i was going to tune in, Golden State was blowing Houston out. so both conference finals are going to have a Game 7. the first one starts tonight when Cleveland is at Boston. here are your highlights from last night.

Patrick Melrose was very good last night.

The Tale was very interesting last night. it was a hard one for me to watch, given the subject matter. Laura Dern was excellent in it.

ROH was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Billions, I'm Dying Up Here, Westworld, Drop the Mic and Total Bellas.

i was very happy that Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 yesterday in the Champions League final. and that Gareth Bale goal will be shown forever i imagine.

i did do a little poetry work yesterday. i believe i will be sending out 13 poems before this month ends.

that's all for me kids. i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

guess what... more rain

i was wondering when i woke up this morning at 7:30 after roughly 3 hours of sleep, why? then i looked outside and noticed the rain. ah, for most people rain helps people sleep. for me, it makes my back so damn tight that i can't sit still, or lay down or walk around. and people wonder why i openly talk about death and drugs.

the Yankees had a HUGE walk off win last night over Baltimore. i didn't think it was going to happen with all the chances they pissed away last night. Nova pitched better than i have ever seen him. a complete game, only a few hits allowed and he was throwing 96 in the 9th inning. they play again here in a few hours. hopefully they can keep the good streak going.

after that, i completely forgot that team USA was playing Guatemala in a friendly tune up for the Gold Cup. luckily i remembered before the start of it. USA with a huge win, 6-0. congrats to Landon Donovan on becoming the first American to score 50 international goals. i am looking forward to the start of the Gold Cup on Tuesday i believe.

so, with 2 victory beers in me, i decided to break out a new notebook and start some poems. i wrote 4 really good ones last night. i typed them up this morning. after the Yankee game this afternoon, i'm planning on going through all the poems and getting the next batch ready for submissions. that is if the rain doesn't stop. if it stops, i'll be outside trying to clean my truck up on the inside for the first time in EVER.

a big thank you to Frontier Communications for once again providing the slowest high speed internet on the face of the earth.

i've got a feeling this evening might be the night i break out the watercolors.

i did go to the Manchester United website yesterday and watched a bit of the David Moyes press conference. i did find it funny how Sir Alex told him the job was his. also, Wayne Rooney isn't for sale (so far) and i'm so happy that my second favorite player of all time, Ryan Giggs, has accepted the role of player-coach. to see a guy who started around the same time i started rooting for the team still going is amazing.

peace and chicken grease.
