it has been rainy and gloomy here all day long. if it would have been colder, it would have completely reminded me of many nights trick or treating in my childhood.
Manchester United won yesterday at home against West Ham, 1-0. the goal was scored by Marcus Rashford, which was his 100th goal for the club.
the New Orleans Saints won yesterday over the Raiders, 24-0. i was shocked at how poorly the Raiders played or, holy shit, there's the Saints defense i was expecting to see this season. hopefully, this is a sign of things to come.
the New York Rangers won last night in Arizona, 3-2.
the New York Knicks lost last night in Cleveland, 121-108.
here are your NBA highlights from yesterday:
i did watch a little of the MLS conference finals yesterday. i think the finals between LAFC and Philadelphia should be a good one.
Let The Right One In was really good last night.
The White Lotus was amazing last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant, as usual.

yesterday went about as well as it could have. let me start back at where we left off.
Ohio State defeated Penn State yesterday, 44-31. once again, the defense really played great yesterday and the offense showed up late and the avalanche points came in the 4th quarter.
the New York Rangers ended their losing streak yesterday and won at Dallas, 6-3. hopefully, they will win again tonight at the Coyotes.
i did go to the Dayton Flyers college basketball game last night against Capital. Dayton won pretty easily, 80-42.
today was yet another day where my bad back wanted some attention. but, i actually did get to Meijer and find some things mom wanted and got a haircut, finally. i actually had a black woman cut my hair today. i made sure to leave her a nice tip, especially since i was getting the haircut for only $8. (love a good coupon)
a bit cleaner look of a psycho...
Manchester United won yesterday in the Europa League, 3-0. the goals were from Dalot, Rashford and CR7. now, if they win at Real Sociedad, they should win the group and avoid all the big boy teams coming down from the Champions League.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.
NJPW was excellent last night.
Atlanta last night was an amazing episode. i am really going to miss this show when it goes away.
Young Sheldon was pretty funny last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
the New York Knicks play tonight at Milwaukee.
i should be on here tomorrow in the morning as that will be the only time i really have to do the blog. Ohio State and the New York Rangers both play in the afternoon tomorrow. and i have a Dayton Flyers basketball game to go to tomorrow night.
i know Game 1 of the World Series starts tonight. i doubt i will watch much of it.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
i need to figure out dinner and i'm really hoping the ground turkey has thawed out.
until tomorrow kids...

ok, i'm getting to this way later than i was hoping to. my bad back decided it wanted most of my attention this morning, so i have been dealing with that fucker.
the New York Rangers lost their 4th game in a row last night, at the Islanders, 3-0. i'm hoping this is the only bad stretch of the season they have.
the New York Knicks won last night against Charlotte, 134-131 in OT.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.
The Masked Singer was crazy last night, as usual.
both episodes of American Horror Story: NYC were great last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Young Sheldon, NJPW and Atlanta.
Manchester United plays at home today in the Europa League. they MUST win today to still have a chance to win the group. and with how they changed the rules, no one wants to finish second in their group in the Europa League.
after the match, i might do a little shopping as of course, there was stuff that was needed but not put on the grocery list.
as for tomorrow, i really need to get a haircut. that is my main goal for tomorrow. and at some point, get the blog done.
that's all for me kids. apparently, my bad back needs the ice again.

i thought i was doing pretty good today. i went to Rite Aid to get my prescriptions and noticed the parking lot was basically empty. i figured i wouldn't have to wait in line. oh, silly me. the pharmacy was closed. just fucking great. two prescriptions ready in there and ones i need as well. just fucking great. i went to the local grocery store just around the corner. i was so pissed, i forgot something mom wanted. of course, i remembered it right as i got into the Highlander. i got what was left on the grocery list at Kroger. mind you, it has been raining or drizzling all fucking day. my arthritis has had a good day, that's for sure. so, after i ate lunch, i called Rite Aid. no answer. so, my hunch was the pharmacy was now open and they were too fucking busy to answer the phones. luckily, it is only a 5 minute drive to it. i saw a car in the drive thru, so i knew the pharmacy was open. i got in line and waited. thankfully, both of mine were ready and no charge. i was behind two people in line. by the time i got done, there was about 12 people in line. i guess the problem is the CVS in town closed and the pharmacist that had worked at Rite Aid for years said fuck it one day and quit. it has been clusterfuck 101 since. so how was your day?
the New York Rangers lost last night to Colorado in the shootout, 3-2. the Rangers played better, but still not good enough. hopefully, that will change tonight at the fucking Islanders.
NXT was excellent last night.
The Voice was very good last night.
Deadliest Catch was good last night.
Tales From The Territories was excellent last night.

i guess mom has a physical therapy session tomorrow afternoon. so, i will try to get the blog done in the morning.
i will definitely get it done before Manchester United plays tomorrow in the Europa League.
now i need to figure out what i am making for dinner tonight. this should be interesting as mom has had an upset stomach for about 2 days. joy.

i heard back from Cristina at Synchronized Chaos on my recent poetry submission. my poems "violence in the air", "a lesson", "an appropriate goodbye", "this beautiful cruel mistress" and "with their concern in mind" have been accepted for publication.
so, i think i finally found the perfect woman for me. now, it is just a matter of convincing her that she is the one and how the fuck can we erase these miles between us. but, this might be the fire that actually lets me live past the age of 50. so, that's some pretty amazing news for today.
the New York Knicks won last night over Orlando, 115-102.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
The Voice was really good last night. i believe tonight is the last night of battles.
Monday Night Raw was excellent last night.
The Vow was good last night.
Avenue 5 was hilarious last night.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Colorado. i hope they play much better than they did on Sunday.
i did get mom to physical therapy on time today. i wrote 1 poem while in the waiting room. i typed that up this afternoon. i think it is pretty good. i got her to her Compunet appointment on time. i will probably have to take her back in the morning most likely.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
my poems "these earlier appointments", "a glass of brandy" and "all in the tongue" have been published at Terror House Magazine. you can read the poems by going here:
let me get this out of the way... i am so fucking disappointed with the New York Yankees. but, i think the Deadspin article i read today summed it up perfectly. they stopped being the Yankees and wanted to be smart with their money, be frugal at times, not have all the best players, etc. more or less, not be the Yankees of years past. you know, those teams that won all those championships and had all those hall of famers, etc. why the fuck would you ever want to be like that? fuck me. so, of course, the Houston Astros swept them yesterday. the Yankees blew two different leads in the game. and the last out was Aaron Judge weakly grounding out to the pitcher. talk about the wrong time to have a simply awful playoffs; when you're trying to back up a truly amazing regular season. if the Yankees don't sign Judge, this will be their excuse. the playoffs. he fucking sucked in them. i doubt very much that the owner has the fucking guts to fire the manager and the general manger. and honestly, if the Yankees don't make some serious changes to their front office and roster, this will be the insanity of let's just keep on doing the same fucking thing and one year, it will change. so fucking stupid.
here are your highlights from the MLB playoffs yesterday:
the other punch to the dick yesterday was the New York Rangers having their asses handed to them by the Columbus Blue Jackets at MSG. the Rangers were outplayed the entire fucking game. and Columbus had played the night before. completely unacceptable.
at least the MLS playoffs didn't disappoint yesterday:
Let The Right One In was excellent last night.
the season finale of Power Book III: Raising Kanan was great last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw, The Voice, Avenue 5 and The Vow.
i did listen to episode 418 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can listen to it by going here:
i had so much i wanted to do this weekend and none of it actually happened. i often talk about living in the margins of life. that is exactly the example i use. it reminds of a poem i wrote years ago. if i die alone, does the body ever get discovered? my best guess is only if i owe someone some money.
i need to go buy dinner. not sure what mom wants, but my attempt to cook some ribs last night did not go well.
i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to physical therapy and then a little trip for her to have some work done at Compunet. thankfully, all of it is in the same facility.
the New York Knicks play tonight. i might catch some of that while eating dinner.

so, after the Ohio State game yesterday (more on that in a bit) i went out to clean the windows. between the wind, my bad back and busting my knuckles trying to get hoses on and off, there was no combination of ice, alcohol and drugs that could have taken the pain away. joy.
Ohio State defeated Iowa yesterday, 54-10. honestly, the game felt closer than that for most of it. Ohio State's defense played great yesterday. Ohio State plays at Penn State next week.
Manchester United got a late goal from Casemiro to earn a 1-1 draw at Chelsea.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday at home to Houston, 5-0. i fully expect them to get swept tonight in Game 4. and i truly hope, Hal Steinbrenner grows a set of balls after that and lets Cashman go (he's been there long enough) and fires Aaron Boone. it is well beyond obvious now that something needs to change.
here are your highlights from the MLB playoffs yesterday:
The Caverns Sessions had The Watkins Family Hour on last night. it was excellent.
Austin City Limits was great last night.
NXT Halloween Havoc was really good last night.
