i didn't think the Yankees would play this bad in the World Series. i knew the Dodgers were a better team, but i honestly thought the Yankees would pitch better and get a few clutch hits. silly me. the Dodgers won Game 3 last night, 4-2. they will go for the sweep tonight. i'll be pleasantly surprised if they don't get it.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

well, i wasn't expecting to wake up to this...
so, i woke up this morning and looked at my phone. i normally see a text reminder to make by pill, etc. this morning, the first thing i saw was Manchester United had fired Erik ten Hag. Ruud van Nistelrooy has been named the interim manager. i know i said in the blog yesterday that some would blame the West Ham loss on ETH, i didn't figure it would be the owners and the board. my best guess is that Ruud will be the coach for the two games this week and then, if reports are true, they are going to hire Ruben Amorim as the next manager. he is currently the manager of Sporting CP in Portugal. i think they partly want to hire him so Manchester City can't. so yeah, my morning went from 0 to 100 really quickly.

when it stops being fun...
so, i had wanted to get this blog done before Manchester United played this morning. in hindsight, i really wish i would have. unfortunately, i woke up a little later than i wanted and decided, let me actually enjoy breakfast instead of rushing through it. United pissed away chance after chance in the first half. thanks to a shitty penalty call in the second half, they lost to West Ham, 2-1. hard to blame this one on ETH, but i'm sure some will. not the way i wanted to start my Sunday.
the Yankees lost Game 2 last night of the World Series, 4-2, to the Dodgers. they are now down 2-0 in the series. the next 3 games are at Yankee Stadium. if the Yankees don't win Game 3, it will be more than likely a sweep.

it happens...
so, as a baseball fan, the walk off grand slam that Freddie Freeman hit last night was one of those plays you will probably remember forever. as a Yankees fan and watching he hit that grand slam against your team in Game 1 of the World Series, that was the epitome of a punch to the dick. Game 2 is tonight and honestly, the Yankees will need to win if they actually want to win this series.
poetry update
i just sent out 5 poems to Synchronized Chaos. when i hear back from Cristina on them, i will pass along the verdict.

apparently, i was tired...
i wanted to get up early this morning since mom had a doctors appointment at noon. so, when the phone rang and woke me up at 10, i was like oh shit. i got mom up, took my one pill and then took a piss. thankfully, not my first rodeo, so we did get to the appointment on time. now, on the way there, the check engine light came on. well shit. the earliest appointment i could get for it was Nov. 5th. well shit. good thing i have already voted.
i did write 3 poems last night. i got them typed up and saved, etc. i will hopefully send some poems out later tonight. fingers crossed.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to Florida, 3-1.

back in the saddle again...
well, i am back. my cousin did a great job figuring out what was wrong with my old computer. he was able to save my hard drive. thankfully, i backed everything up two weeks before the thing crashed. so, i really didn't lose anything. he put everything on one of his old computers from work that still has plenty of life on it. charged me $75 for everything. i gave him $100. so, it will take some getting used to, but it is really quiet. that means i will be doing some recording soon.
mom had an eye appointment today. the doctor that did her cornea replacement is really pleased with how the recovery is going. she sees him again the day before Thanksgiving.
in other news, the squirrels are back or better yet, we might have baby racoons in the fucking attic. joy.
Manchester United played today at Fenerbahce in the Europa League. the game finished 1-1.

computer problems...
so, my computer died today. i'm writing this from my mother's laptop. i have no clue when i will be getting a new computer, so the blog will be on hiatus until that happens. i'm hoping it won't be too long of a hiatus, but given what has gone on here today, don't be shocked if you don't see any posts for a few weeks. i believe mom's surgery has gone well. Orkin sent the wrong fucking guy to fix the hole the squirrels are going through. at least we won't be charged for any of this. add in the computer dying this morning and you can imagine my frustration. so, enjoy the links that are up. you have my email address if you need to get in touch. any of you that really need to contact me, you already have my cell number. a fond farewell for now. i will be back, hopefully before the end of the month.

now it feels like fall...
hell, i even had to put on sweatpants today. holy hell. it only got into the 50's today. it was rather blustery today when i had to go to Kroger to get my pills. i guess it is going to be like this for most of this week. joy.
well, yesterday didn't go how i wanted for the most part either. i need the worm to turn and quickly.
the Saints got beat yesterday at home by Tampa Bay, 51-27. amazingly, the Saints were winning at halftime. fuck me. they next play on Thursday at home against Denver.

what could have been...
last night sucked for the most part. i can handle losing. i hate it, but i can handle it. what i tend to lose my shit on, is when one (or more) of my teams, beat themselves. yeah, it was one of those nights.
Ohio State lost at Oregon last night, 32-31. injuries and mistakes. that pretty much sums up the game.

so, this happened last night...
i was on the phone with the muse and i was by the back door of the house. i could hear the squirrels going nuts. i went outside to see if i could see what the fuck they were doing, since it sounded like they were on the roof. i got over to the side of the house and could really hear them. i looked up and there is a fucking hole in the siding underneath one of the roof lines. fuck me. it sounded like there was a fucking family up there, again. i told mom about it last night. i'm hoping i can get her out there so she can see it for herself. i can't tell if the hole came from storm damage or the squirrels just ripped the fucking hole themselves to get back inside. so yeah, not good.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.
response from Disturb the Universe Magazine...
i heard back from Skaja at Disturb the Universe Magazine on my poetry submission from last month. my poems "a new set of suckers", "over a decade ago" and "looking for you know who" have been accepted for publication.

a day of pain, of course...
my life has this uncanny ability to always swing the positive to negative and negative to even more negative with fucking ease. i'm not sure if it is because my inner child has to always be in pain. or, does my ego enjoy the suffering and rising above it. or maybe this is all i really know. happiness is fleeting. pain is real. loss is real. the sad thing is, i really want to be happy. have fun. enjoy what little life i have left. and no matter what i do to try to make sure these fairytales are possible, nothing works. this is why i have such a laid back fuck it view of life, etc. there is no point in me fucking it up more than i already have. i suppose this is my reasoning for just accepting the pain and learning how to live with it. joy.
the Yankees won last night at the Royals, 3-1, to clinch the series. they will play either Detroit or Cleveland in the ALCS.
