i didn't get to sleep until 5 AM. i didn't wake up until 11:15 AM. now, i wish it would have been 6 straight hours of sleep, but i don't live in that fantasy world. i didn't eat breakfast until 1 in the afternoon. good times. after that, i had to vacuum the house. mom told me to do it in the morning. of course, she didn't wake up until 12:30. i took a weed gummy because my back is absolutely killing me. after i get this done, i'm going to ice my back down and hopefully be high enough that i enter a few different dimensions while taking a nap.
the USMNT at the Olympics defeated New Zealand yesterday, 4-1.
the Yankees won last night at Boston, 11-8, in 10 innings. hopefully, they will win the series tonight. they did make a trade yesterday that will hopefully be good for the offense.
Manchester United lost last night to Arsenal, 2-1. two players got injured last night, Yoro and Hojlund. i'm hoping they won't be out for long. United did win the penalty shootout after the game, so there's that.
AEW Collision and AEW Battle of the Belts were both pretty good last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and Last Week Tonight.
the USWNT takes on Germany today at the Olympics.
since i woke up late, i only watched some of the USA men's basketball game today against Serbia. the USA won, 110-84.
i should be on here tomorrow before i take mom to her physical therapy appointment.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

so, the rain woke me up at 7 this morning. considering i went to bed a little after 3 AM, i figured i might as well just get going with my day. the laundry i wanted to do for mom on the weekend she finally let me do today. joy. and between my bad back and the arthritis, i really can't wait to drink myself to death one day. good times.
the Yankees lost last night to the Mets, 3-2. thankfully, they made a trade after the game was over that should provide a little spark to the team.
the Red Scare won again last night in the TBT. they are 3 wins away from a million dollars. this is the farthest they have ever gone in this tournament.
AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.
Big Brother was really good last night. i think i'm really going to enjoy The Leftovers alliance and the show tonight should be excellent. i always love a good blindside.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, two episodes of The Captain and NJPW. i watched NXT UK earlier today. it was excellent.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i need to get going and start getting ready to make dinner.

i always love when i need to go to 5 different stores to get what is on the grocery list. imagine my fucking joy when i still didn't find everything... fuck me.
i did get some baseball and football cards today. 3 Fairfield boxes totally $15. i think i got close to $40 worth total out of the boxes, the majority of that coming from the football box that had some great rookies in it (Justin Fields, Cee Dee Lamb, Kyle Pitts, etc.).
NXT was really good last night.
Buddy Guy: The Blues Chase the Blues Away was great last night.
Deadliest Catch was crazy last night.
i did stay up last night to watch the USA men's basketball team destroy Iran, 120-66.

i was really saddened today to learn of the death of Dusty Hill. i grew up on the sound of ZZ Top and absolutely loved watching him play the bass. part of the reason i learned how to play the bass. rest easy amigo, you will never be forgotten.
Manchester United had another friendly today. they played Brentford and it ended up being a 2-2 draw. i only saw some of the highlights from the game.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i know my damn back needs a damn ice pack and my massage chair soon.

i had a jello shot last night that was more Crown Royal than actually jello. i don't think i've had a jello shot since my 20's. something in me snapped after that, either the nostalgia of it all or just a shot of liquor and boom, i felt like i was out of my funk from yesterday. all it probably really means is i'm a fucking alcoholic that doesn't want to admit it quite yet. oh well.
the New York Yankees lost again yesterday at Boston, 9-5. the Yankees pitching is fucking atrocious at the moment. i'm hoping they will avoid a 4 game sweep tonight, but i'm not holding my breath.
Smackville was pretty good last night. i like when the WWE puts at least some of a house show on the network. i wish they would do it more often.
ROH was really good last night. the match between The Briscoes and Rush & Dragon Lee was fucking great.
NJPW was awesome last night. i could watch Okada vs. Kenta probably another million times and not get bored.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, City on a Hill, Euphoria and Last Week Tonight.
i will probably catch up on some more sleep this afternoon since the Yankees don't play until this evening. i'm sure all i'll need to do is put on a soccer game from Mexico and i'll be asleep in the first 10 minutes.
i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i know i have to take the car in for an oil change sometime this week. not sure when mom made that appointment. i know she said something last night that we need to look for something new. i can't imagine why, given that the Highlander has over 250,000 miles on it. at least if we do get something new, i'll have something in my name again.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

i spent most of last night helping the muse with some shitty life stuff. nothing a little gin doesn't cure i suppose. after she finally met up with some friends, i had a little writing session. i wrote 5 pretty dark poems. i haven't typed them up yet, because once i got done, i pretty much passed out. i think i slept for almost 7 fucking hours. so, there goes my plans for Saturday morning.
the New York Yankees were rained out last night. 8th fucking rain out this season. they will play a doubleheader today against the Royals. first game is at 1. the second game is at 7. hopefully, the Yankees will win both.
NJPW was pretty good last night.
Major League Wrestling was pretty good last night as well.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH.
this afternoon, Manchester United takes on Liverpool. i will be watching that and will hopefully not be too pissed off while doing it.
i figure at some point tonight, probably while flipping between baseball and the UFC, i'll type those poems up.
nothing quite like starting your Saturday off with two pills of Benadryl and two pills of Imodium. this should be a really fun trip to Meijer. this will be the last time mom gets out before she has the injection into her back. i'm hoping they have everything she's looking for.
and if you are wondering, my back is still in pain. i'm hoping some walking in the store will help it.
i'm not holding my breath though.
that's all for me kids. i'll be on here in the morning tomorrow. have a great Saturday.

i was up late last night watching the shit show in the US Senate. thank god for John McCain. he couldn't pass up one last chance to stick it to Trump. classic one asshole getting the better of another asshole. he more or less took a shit on the desk and then rubbed the rest of the Republicans' faces in it. so, of course, what Trump will do now is defund everything that has to do with the ACA so it fails. i laugh at the trouble every old white person in this country has with anything President Obama was successful with. if they really looked at his policies and realize he was closer to a moderate Republican than he ever was to a socialist Democrat, they could see just how racist they are. but, Trump will make a fucking mess out of this country yet and just like the last time, it will be up to a black male or a female to clean it up.
the New York Yankees pissed away a 3 run lead last night but chipped away late to send the game into extra innings. Brett Gardner hit a walk off home run in the 11th inning and the Yankees beat Tampa 6-5. hopefully they can keep it rolling tonight. they are just 1/2 game out of first place in the division.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. Ramses was evicted and Paul is the new HOH. Jessica told the house and the rest of America watching on television about the secret temptation she won. hopefully Paul doesn't waste his week by nominating her and Cody. all Jessica will do is stop the eviction from happening and then it would be like the past week never happened.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

the grocery store was busy as hell today. of course, i went a little before 1 in the afternoon. the elderly were having lunch in the store at all the free food spots. plus, they were stocking the shelves at the same time. good thing i look like someone you wouldn't want to fuck with. i had to get some over the counter medication and mom wanted to restock the freezer, so i knew there was no chance of keeping it under $100. after all was said and done, the final bill was around $150 or so. that's not bad considering i got about $50 off with coupons and the one medication was around $40.
i will probably be on here tomorrow in the morning. i know mom wants me to take her shopping sometime tomorrow. that should be interesting. she doesn't want to be crazy like the last time, so i'm guessing it's something local where we'll be back home in 15 minutes or so.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
