so, Rite Aid texted me today to say my prescription was ready. i was hoping it was my test strips to take my blood sugar in the morning but of course, it wasn't. i asked the lady at the pharmacy if my test strips had come in as they texted me on last Thursday and said they were ordering them. she checked and said no. i told her i am down to my last strip so i will be out of them tomorrow morning. she said to check tomorrow to see if they are in and if not, they will come up with something. ah, modern medicine.
the NHL season starts back up today. the New York Rangers will play their first game on Thursday at Buffalo.

so, let me start off today with a little story about nearly choking to death yesterday. a tortilla chip went down the wrong way at lunch. i knew mom couldn't hit my back hard enough to dislodge anything, so i had to take matters into my own hands. now, trying to make myself puke didn't work. so, basically a combination of dry heaving and hitting myself in the chest did the trick. certainly not on my bingo card yesterday as shit i would be doing, but i am happy that it didn't result into a trip to the hospital or the paramedics having to do anything for me. so yeah, that is how we are starting today.
the New Orleans Saints destroyed the Patriots yesterday, 34-0. that made me really fucking happy. hopefully, that is how the Saints will play the rest of the season.
i did watch a few NFL games yesterday. hell, made a little money as well. that is always a good day.
Big Brother was good last night.

the house is down to 68 degrees. i believe it was in the low 40's overnight outside. the high today will only be in the 50's. my favorite time of year.
so, let's begin where we left off yesterday. i wasn't pleased with Manchester United getting down to Brentford 1-0 26 minutes into the game. it was a painful watch to say the least. right up until Scott McTominay came into the game. he scored in the 93rd minute and then the winner in the 97th minute. they really needed this win. and i hope this is the beginning of a much better future than what it was looking like was coming.
Ohio State started off like shit yesterday. as i told my mother, this always seems to happen anytime Gus Johnson is calling their game. thankfully, it didn't stay that way. Ohio State defeated Maryland yesterday, 37-17.
i did watch a few college football games yesterday.
WWE Fastlane was excellent last night.
AEW Collision was very good last night.
Austin City Limits was great last night. i have always been a fan of Rodrigo y Gabriela.

so, i did take mom to Rite Aid this afternoon. we both got our COVID shots. thankfully, we didn't have to wait that long. after that, we went to the local grocery store around the corner basically. i needed to get some provolone cheese for dinner tonight. i knew as soon as Arby's started showing those commercials for the cheesesteaks that i was going to have to make them at home for dinner.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to Boston, 3-1. that finishes the preseason for them. 1 damn win and honestly, if this is how they are going to play this season, it is going to be a long fucking season.

it still feels like summer outside. i'm hoping that will change soon. if the weather experts are correct, it is supposed to go from the 80's to the 50's by the weekend. that will be lovely if that happens.
so, let me talk about Manchester United for a bit. they lost yesterday at home in the Champions League, 3-2. first time they have ever lost the first two games of the group stage. the offense finally came to life but the defense, given all the injuries, is awful. and sadly, i'm not sure they have found rock bottom yet.

so, i guess it was some form of explosion. not quite as big as i was hoping, but i did manage to write 5 poems last night. those are the first poems i have written in nearly a month. i'm hoping this is the start of a flood. i know i will have the chance to write some poems on Thursday as mom has physical therapy that day. kind of like getting back on a bicycle i guess. as for the poems i wrote last night, i really liked most of them.
i was drained after writing those poems last night. didn't even have enough energy to masturbate before falling asleep. by the time i woke up this morning, my back was barking. i was hoping to get the blog done way before now, but...
Manchester United is playing Galatasaray in the Champions League today at home. it is currently, 1-1.

i had a conversation with the spanish princess the other night that has had quite the lasting impression on my brain. i've been trying to cobble a poem together and i have a few words strung together and then the engine just quits working. so, there is this tension brewing, and i know damn well the only way to "fix" it is with an explosion. so, i'm bracing for that and hoping i can get most of it down on the blank page. welcome to life as a poet. especially when you haven't quite figured out how to get out of your own fucking way.
the Yankees lost yesterday at the Royals, 5-2. they finished the season 82-80.and of course, it looks like most of the coaches will be back next season, so i guess they are now the living embodiment of insanity.
the New Orleans Saints lost at home yesterday to Tampa Bay, 26-9. thank god i didn't see much of the game.
Big Brother was good last night.
Billions was excellent last night.
Power Book IV: Force was crazy last night.

i did listen to episode 467 of Notsam Wrestling this afternoon. you can hear that by going here:
so mom likes having big breakfasts on Sunday morning. i'm not a big fan of it, but, since i do 95% of the cooking now, i more or less just shut up and start cooking. so, this morning was biscuits, sausage gravy and eggs. what i always try to do is never burn the food. so, you can imagine the frustration when the biscuits were a little extra brown when they came out of the oven. i know none of this stress is good for me. i know that the biscuits weren't burnt. even better, i do understand that perfection is not fucking possible. i'm 47 years into trying to unfuck my mind from growing up and never being good enough at anything where my parents could be proud. now, my mother at least put forth the effort. my father couldn't have cared less. now, if i would have been rich in my early 20's, i can guarantee you my father would have been proud; until he realized he wasn't seeing a fucking penny of the money. so yeah, welcome to my Sunday morning. had a soccer team blow a 3 goal lead that blew up an early morning parlay from Europe. good times.
the Yankees won last night in Kansas City, 5-2. that gave them 82 wins on the season. 31 years in a row over .500. today is the last game of the season, i won't be surprised when heads start to roll tomorrow. if they don't make some moves, they are kidding themselves that any of this shit is going to change.
the New York Rangers lost last night at the Islanders, 5-3. i can't wait for preseason hockey to be over.
NXT No Mercy was excellent last night.
AEW Collision was very good last night.
i did watch a few college football games yesterday.
i did catch some highlights from the MLS games last night. congrats to FC Cincinnati on winning the Supporters' Shield.

the New Orleans Saints play today at home against Tampa Bay. i have no fucking clue how or why Derek Carr is playing today.
i'm sure i will watch plenty of the NFL games today.
i did get my laundry done yesterday. mom forgot to tell me we were low on laundry detergent. so, i had to make a run to Meijer to get that and a few other things. apparently, it is was hot black woman Saturday at the store. i suppose i was there a little longer than i needed to be...
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get back from taking mom to the foot doctor.
