happy earth day

i went out and fed the birds this morning. i was thinking it was going to be raining, so when it wasn't, i figured it would be a good time to get the suet out. plus, i wanted to get it done before the grass got mowed, which is happening now. i hope everyone does something productive for the earth today. anything really...

here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

the New York Yankees lost last night at home to Toronto, 6-1. hopefully, they will do better this afternoon.

the New York Knicks defeated Cleveland last night, 99-79, to go up 2-1 in their series.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

A Black Lady Sketch Show last night was fucking funny as hell.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Rampage.

the New York Rangers play Game 3 tonight at home against New Jersey. would love to see the boys destroy the Devils yet again.

i'm sure i will watch plenty of the NBA and NHL playoffs today and tonight. i will probably watch some MLS games today as well.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the FA Cup semifinal against Brighton.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

until tomorrow kids...

Earth Day 2018

i figured today would be the day the EPA would announce that they have decided to just rape the planet to death. this would be the day when i lived out on the farm where i wish i had enough money to go plant 100 trees in one of the pastures so there would be a damn forest there in a few years. now i give what little money i do have to organizations that say they are doing that. i pretend that is the truth and that the money isn't going to cover administrative costs instead. so, here's a little advice. unless you have enough money to even think you're going to live on Mars one day, you might want to take care of the only fucking planet you will live on.

here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:

ROH was excellent last night.

i did watch a little hockey and basketball last night. but mostly i watched some UFC.

the New York Yankees are calling up their top prospect today. hopefully he hits the ground running and they can win the series today against Toronto.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Homeland, Billions, Drop the Mic, Westworld, Silicon Valley, Barry and Last Week Tonight.

it looks like Manchester United will be playing Chelsea in the FA Cup final. Chelsea is up 2-0 against Southampton with about 5 minutes left in the match.

it actually looks like the temperatures are going to be close to normal most of the week. what a fucking shock. of course, the day i have to be driving, it will be raining.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

earth day 2017... how many more of these do we have left?

i had a little laugh this morning. i saw someone wrote if someone is tweeting against the march for science today, they really should ask how do they think twitter came about. of course, then it will become who can win an argument against a stupid person, etc. etc.

if anyone in 2017 doesn't believe climate change exists, it's really simple. you are fucking stupid. there is no other way to think about it.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

NJPW was really good last night.

VICE was fascinating last night. i never knew of the movie scene in Nigeria. plus, i guess i see how "we" are trying to conquer the world...

the New York Yankees lost last night to Pittsburgh, 6-3. i didn't watch much of the game after CC gave up the home run in the first inning. hopefully they can get back to winning this afternoon.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and ROH.

i will be watching Game 6 of the New York Rangers vs. Montreal tonight. i'm really hoping the Rangers can finish this off tonight and avoid having to go back to Montreal for Game 7.

i may send out some poems today. if i do, it will be after the cleaning people leave. if i don't, laziness has won.

i'll be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. hopefully the weather is nice where you are. and hopefully the violence is at a minimum. call if you need bail money.

pleasantly shocked

before i get to the glee i woke up to this morning, here are your links for national poetry month:

http://poethound.blogspot.com/2014/04/rebecca-schumejdas-waiting-at-dead-end.html

i was pleasantly shocked this morning that Manchester United FINALLY got rid of David Moyes. when i read that they only had to pay him 1 year of the 5 years he had left on the contract because the club didn't qualify for the Champions League next year, i knew it then made financial sense to dump him. now, i'm not happy that the guy i want to replace him has already said no, but i'm pretty damn sure whoever they get will do better. Ryan Giggs will manage the team for the last 4 games. i'm sure the players will actually respect him.

i did catch a good portion of The Voice last night. i have no clue who is going home tonight. the talent this season is really fucking amazing.

Monday Night Raw started off with a brutal beating of Daniel Bryan that cast quite the shadow on the rest of the show. of course, i found out after the show that his dad died suddenly and i suppose they needed to write him out for a week for the funeral, etc. makes sense in hindsight. i didn't agree with RVD going over Cesaro. he's way too good to be in a mid card feud with Jack Swagger.

tonight is an impossible night of television for me. somehow, i'm going to try to flip between the Yankees at Red Sox, Rangers at Flyers, The Voice, and Deadliest Catch. plus, other playoff games in hockey and basketball. now, i know there's no fucking way i'm going to pull this off, but i will try.

took my mother out to the store today to get her meds that the doctor called in and some other shit we needed. she feels bad that i have to help her, so she bought me some rum. i'm just enough of an asshole to not say no. the bleeding has stopped for her, finally. she does believe she has lost most of her hearing in her left ear. i keep telling her to give it time, etc. i don't think she's in the mood for pep talks. oh well, at least she's slowly getting better. she's going to have a nasty scar though behind her ear. i get the feeling i'm going to call her van Gogh at some point.

saw this last night and it made me laugh

hope everyone is doing well. until tomorrow kids. take your vitamins, eat your veggies and pray to whatever the fuck you please.

peace and chicken grease...

this Monday should be better than the last one

a pretty damn good weekend, especially when i think back to Manchester City shitting away a lead and losing to Tottenham. that delicious result means if Manchester United wins today, the 20th championship is secured. needless to say, i will be completely glued and intense as hell come this afternoon. hence the morning post.

i was absolutely thrilled to watch the New York Rangers beat the Devils yesterday 4-1. eliminates the Devils from any chance of making the playoffs. that's a sweet revenge after last season. enjoy the golf you fuckers. below are the highlights:

the Yankees of course couldn't make my day a complete success as they lost 8-4. another series won but it never feels that way when you are unable to get the sweep (AGAIN). they start another series tonight down in that fucking dump in Tampa Bay. thankfully, i will be busier than shit this evening with stuff to watch that i will miss most of it.

i wrote 2 poems last night. i'll probably type them up later this week, just in case i write some more.

and speaking of poetry, the poet of the day on my Google+ page is B.Z. Niditch. i have been published with him for years and i have always enjoyed his work. do a quick search and you should find plenty.

tonight is the usual madness of The Voice and Monday Night Raw. plus, final week of fantasy hockey, so i'll be following the stats as best as i can with those games.

and sometime i need to get into town to get the mail and get the yard ready to mow tomorrow. i've got about 4 months of limbs to pick up. that should be fun.

music today:
