i always love waking up to a flash flood warning. i remember when i was a kid, i always wanted to live near a river. now as an adult, i understand why i would never want to.
the New York Yankees won yesterday at Tampa, 3-2. that was a pleasant surprise. hopefully, they will win the series today.
the New York Knicks lost yesterday at Miami, 105-86. Miami now leads the series, 2-1.

the New York Rangers and their coach parted ways yesterday.
the shopping trip to Menards yesterday went well. i was able to find everything i was looking for.

WWE Backlash last night was fucking great. the crowd in Puerto Rico was amazing.
i did watch the highlights from the MLS games yesterday. i even made a little money on 3 of the games.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, i am in a bit of shock this morning. my sister got into it with me over our mother this morning. she doesn't like the way i am being her caretaker. my sister doesn't like that mom doesn't have every single pill she needs to take labeled and already into where it needs to go for her to take it. she then complained to me about what the doctor's office gives her after her visits. i explained to my sister that mom is an adult. i treat her as such. there are days where she doesn't feel like living. i respect that because i respect her rights. i told my sister i have come to terms with the fact that mom is going to die and i'm not going to force her to take her pills if she doesn't want to. add in the fact that mom wasn't exactly hungry this morning and that set my sister off. she packed all her shit and told us before she left she is cutting off our phones on Monday, so we need to figure that shit out.
so yeah, Happy Mother's Day.
i joked with mom, see what happens when a caffeine addict doesn't get her coffee in the morning. basically, my sister doesn't want to be involved, but when she is, it has to be done her way or she takes her ball and goes home.
this isn't how i thought my Saturday morning was going to start. fuck me.
mom did have her MRI yesterday. i wrote 5 poems while she was having that done. i'm really hoping the MRI shows what is going on and hopefully allows the doctors to figure out the next steps. as for the poems, i really liked them. i typed them up around 2 AM or so. i will hopefully get some poems out later today or tomorrow.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was very good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was very funny last night.
A Black Lady Sketch Show was fucking hilarious last night. the season finale is next week.

the New York Rangers play Game 3 tonight in Pittsburgh. hopefully, the boys can get a victory tonight.
the Yankees got rained out today, again. the series against the Texas Rangers will now be a doubleheader on Sunday and a day game on Monday.
i guess i'll spend the rest of today going over cell plans and figuring out the best thing for mom and i to do. i know i want to get the phones switched to wherever before my sister cuts them off. if she does that, i guarantee you it will be at some time Monday morning.
that's all for me today kids.
thanks for listening to my little slice of dysfunction.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
there used to be a time in my life where a cough would be gone in a few days. i have reached that age now that all the tricks that worked in my youth don't anymore. i had to sleep in my chair last night. i think at best i slept a hour or so at a time. i'm trying to avoid the shit i know that works for me because of my liver. so, if i have another disjointed night of sleep, i'll be calling the doctor tomorrow. i really could use a tall drink of something strong right now.
WWE Backlash was slightly better than awful last night. the show started off good with a great match between The Miz and Seth Rollins. it was downhill after that. and that shouldn't be the case with wrestlers like AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, etc. still to come. the fact that you could see people walking out of the arena during the main event between Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns should be a wake up call to Vince. of course, it won't be.
the New York Yankees are starting to remind me of those great Yankees team from the late 90's. they got an amazing spot start from Domingo German yesterday (6 no hit innings). the bullpen shit the bed and the Yankees were losing 4-0. that was about the time the storms hit here and knocked out the satellite feed. the Yankees came right back and scored 3 in the bottom of the 8th to make it 4-3. the Yankees then tied it in the 9th and won the game on a 3 run walk off home run from Gleyber Torres. they won the game 7-4. that's a sweep of the Indians and they finished this daunting 18 games in 18 days with a 16-2 record. they start a series tomorrow night against the Red Sox. they are 1 game behind Boston in the AL East.
here are your highlights from the NHL and NBA playoffs from yesterday:
Billions was excellent last night. maybe the best episode they have ever done.
I'm Dying Up Here was pretty funny last night.
Westworld was amazing last night.
Silicon Valley was pretty good last night.
Barry was excellent last night. the season finale next week should be interesting.
Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as usual.
Drop the Mic was pretty funny last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i'll probably watch some of the NHL and NBA playoffs tonight as well.
just got done typing up the five poems i wrote last night. not quite sure what i think of them or where they will end up going. hopefully i have another writing outburst in me for the weekend. if a few certain things happen, it may be more than an outburst. time shall tell.
hopefully the Yankees take the Red Sox out behind the barn this weekend and put them out of their misery.
RvP is officially on Manchester United now. their revenge on the world tour begins this Monday. if he and the rest of the team can stay healthy, i will have some fun watching them run up the score on nearly everyone they play. if the injuries from last year crop up again... let's just say it won't be pretty.
the weather is supposed to have a touch of fall in the air this weekend. i'm at the point of who the fuck knows anymore. hard to be happy with the weather when i can look out the window and see dying crops. not fun at all.
other than some sports and writing, not really sure what my weekend plans are. maybe a trip over to the other home to clean some more shit out. maybe i'll get bored enough to go to the movies. or maybe i'll just sit in my room and listen to some old music. your guess is as good as mine.
music today:
Warren Haynes Band - Live at the Moody Theater
Jeff Buckley - Mystery White Boy
Oasis - Definitely Maybe
Terence Trent D'Arby - Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby
