happy get drunk with Mexican food day...

before we get going, a little poetry news to pass on. i sent out 15 poems today, 5 each to Synchronized Chaos, As It Ought To Be Magazine and The Ramingo's Porch. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

happy Cinco de Mayo. today is the anniversary of my father going into the ground. i have never visited the gravesite, so i'm 99.9% sure he's down there.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

The Voice was good last night. i have no damn clue who is going to the next round. they go from 17 to 9 tonight.

happy cinco de oh what the hell was that?

i woke up this morning at halftime of the Manchester United game. they were winning 1-0, so i was tempted to not watch the game at all. but, after taking the morning piss and my blood sugar, i decided to watch the second half. silly me to think United would beat a team that has already been relegated. United hit the woodwork a couple times but ultimately couldn't get more than a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield. with Chelsea's 3-0 win today, United is eliminated from having any chance to finish in the top 4 of the Premier League. joy. not sure how they are going to get players to come to a team that will play in the Europa League next season. but honestly, they need o sell off nearly all of the squad and just start the fuck over.

i wrote 3 poems last night. i'll type those up after i get this blog done.

4 years ago today. my father was put into the ground. i have never been to his grave. i have no clue if i ever will go.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday to the Twins, 7-3. hopefully, they can win the series later this afternoon.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

the Kentucky Derby was fucking crazy yesterday.

figures, the weather gets nice and i get a nagging cough...

happy Cinco de Mayo or how i think of the day now, happy we put the fucker in the ground day. my father was buried 3 years ago today. i still haven't been back to see the grave. i figure he went a good 20 years without thinking of me, i'll probably be the same stubborn fucker.

i woke myself up coughing this morning. that's a fun feeling. i'm not bringing anything up with the coughs, so that's a good sign i suppose. i'll have to see if we have some cough syrup or maybe i'll just use whiskey. who knows.

the New York Yankees were cruising along last night, up 5-0 over Cleveland. they took CC out of the game, and the bullpen shit the bed. suddenly 5-0 became 5-5. the Yankees took the lead in the bottom of the 8th, 6-5. of course, their closer pissed that lead away. the Yankees won in the bottom of the 9th with a walk off single from Miguel Andujar. Gleyber Torres hit his first major league home run in the game. it's nice to see the kids doing so well. the Yankees won 7-6. they are 13-1 in their last 14 games. they will look to continue that streak this afternoon against Cleveland.

NJPW was excellent last night. i could watch Zack Sabre Jr. wrestle until i died and never get bored.

Major League Wrestling was good last night.

VICE was very good last night.

Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas was great last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty funny last night.

i do plan on watching the Kentucky Derby today. it's the one day my inner gambler feels truly alive.

that's all for me kids. i'm going to take a hot ass shower and either break a cough or die trying.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. don't drink and drive, but enjoy the margaritas.
