hot and humid in late July...

it is hot and humid today. of course, it is late July in Ohio... it is supposed to be hot and humid.

i slept like shit last night. DraftKings and I got into it. i thought i had won a bet on the USWNT that would have won me over $36 on bet of .66 cents. well, after they paid, they must have found some other stats that showed i was wrong, so they took the money away. i sent them a complaint, wondering why the official stats show that i have a win for the number of corners and somehow, their stats have something else. they would never answer any of my questions. it kind of reminded me of what a shitty parent does. it is what it is because i said so. nothing is based in fact or truth. so, as i told my mother, this is why the house always wins. it is really easy to do when you simply change the fucking rules as you go along. this will be one of those things i will be pissy about for a long damn time.

the USWNT defeated Germany yesterday, 4-1.

the Yankees won last night at Boston, 8-2. they start a series tonight at the Phillies.

Big Brother was good last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw.

mom just had me cancel her physical therapy appointment today. she's feeling dizzy, which most likely means the humidity got to her and her Meniere's Disease is in overdrive. joy.

i'll probably watch some of the Olympics today and hopefully, catch up on some sleep.

i hope everyone had a great weekend...

an even longer day...

so, i got to bed sometime around 4 this morning. i was finally falling asleep in my massage chair around 5 when i heard something fall in the house. i immediately put my glasses on and started lowering my chair to see what the fuck was up. i turned on the hall light and i saw my mother, flat on her back, in the doorway to her bedroom. i rushed to her and she was still alive, at least. she was sleepwalking, the best term i can think of at the moment, and of course, wasn't near her rollator at all. i had to more or less wake her up into reality, which it took her a good 20 minutes to figure out. i eventually got her back into bed. it didn't appear to me that she was bleeding anywhere or had a concussion, amazingly. i was hoping to go back to sleep, but of course, that didn't happen. eventually, i did get a good nap later in the morning. of course, mom told me when i woke up that she could have got a doctor's appointment at noon, but she didn't want to wake me up. i didn't say anything, but i really wish she would have woke me up. i thanked her for the preview of her death that she is constantly giving me more often these days. that's 3 falls in the last 3 weeks, and 8 falls in the last 3 months. i'm really hoping she can find a neurologist that her insurance accepts so we can figure out what truly is going on. i don't want to have a situation where she dies needlessly and then an autopsy shows it was something that was fucking treatable. so yeah, that has been most of my today. good times.

the Yankees only got two hits last night. thankfully, one of those was a walk off home run from Aaron Judge to win over the Royals, 1-0. that is his 3rd walk off home run this season, tying the team record by Mickey Mantle in 1959.

Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.

Big Brother was really good last night. i loved the shocked look on Ameerah's face when she was evicted. even better was all the clueless women in the house that looked stunned. Monte is the new HOH.

NJPW was great last night.

both episodes of The Captain last night certainly brought back the memories.

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Real Time with Bill Maher.

the Red Scare play tonight in the quarterfinals of the TBT. they will get the last spot in the semifinals if they win.

i should be on here in the morning tomorrow, before the Yankees have Old Timer's Day.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

exactly how i wanted the day to start

so i woke up right before we got a little rain and thunder this morning. i took my blood sugar and then went outside to get the newspaper. i came back in and the garage door wouldn't shut. i made sure nothing was in its way, or misaligned, etc.etc... still no luck. mom called the service number and they told her they couldn't get anyone out here until tomorrow. so, i manually shut the damn thing. i don't think i have anywhere to go today anyway.

AEW was great last night.

Big Brother was good last night. Brent has to be the dumbest player to ever be on Big Brother. i can't wait for him to be evicted tonight.

the Yankees won last night down in Tampa, 3-1. they also made a huge trade yesterday, getting Joey Gallo from the Texas Rangers. it's not official yet, but a huge lefty bat is exactly what this team has needed all season. hopefully the Yankees will get the sweep of the Rays this afternoon.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Desus & Mero. i'll watch NXT UK sometime today on Peacock.

i will probably watch a little of the NBA Draft tonight as well.

the Gold Cup resumes tonight. first up will be the USA vs. Qatar. after that, Mexico takes on Canada.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. hopefully, it will be after the garage door is fixed.

what a crazy day...

so, i got to bed before 5 this morning, which was a minor miracle. i was hunting for this damn mini Jose Canseco card (1997 Fleer) i knew i had. after looking in 12 different albums, i finally found it. i'm just about ready to start unleashing what i have to sell to the world...

i had to go to three different stores today to get everything on the grocery list. the first two are normal, but i didn't expect Kroger to not have any Zyrtec at all. so, i had to go to the drugstore to get that one. i picked up some baseball cards while i was there. the pack i got had a couple hits in it, but not the card i am hunting for.

Deadliest Catch was really good last night.

Dirty Jobs was pretty funny last night.

Stockton On My Mind was excellent last night. i know so many damn white people that are so afraid of what this documentary shows. an educated black man with such radical ideas of helping people and it fucking works. god forbid. i recommend this one to every ignorant fuck in this world.

both Ohio teams lost last night in the MLS. both lost in the penalty kick shootout at the end of the game. both teams had the chance to win. like a punch to the nuts.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT and AEW.

the Yankees play tonight in Baltimore. hopefully, they will get a victory. and not sick.

the New York Rangers play tonight in Toronto against the fucking Islanders. this is their warm up game before their playoffs begin against Carolina on August 1st.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i need to get some poems written as i haven't written shit this month. my head is swimming with some ideas.

and here comes hell...

the doomsday local media has done its job well today. i drove past the local store when i was out getting the mail at the post office and the parking lot was packed almost out to the street. we supposedly have 3 to 5 to holy shit inches of snow coming tonight and into tomorrow morning. so, of course everyone had to go out and stock up for the end of days.

i'm not sure i have caught up on my sleep yet, but i'm still kicking. i'm drained beyond belief. that should be the perfect mix for shoveling snow tomorrow.

i did watch Total Divas last night. i think i'm really going to enjoy Paige on the show. you can tell she totally has a 'i don't give a fuck attitude' that i love. she should make this shit enjoyable for me.

i spent most of today just lounging in front of the television. i did get a good laugh when i saw the next round of the FA Cup draw. Manchester United is on the road yet again, against the lowest ranked team left. hopefully they can get the job done easier this time.

tonight is back to my usual Monday night clusterfuck. Gotham comes back on tonight. i'm pumped to watch that again. at the same time is Monday Night Raw and the gold medal game of the 2015 World Juniors between Russia and Canada. the New York Rangers have 3 prospects in that game that will play a major role. so, the plan i have in my head is to watch Gotham and flip between wrestling and hockey during the commercial breaks. just a few more weeks and hopefully i'll be moved and that whole home DVR will be taking care of these problems for me.

it did get pretty damn cold last night. it's supposed to get even colder the next few days. i turned the heat up in the house as mom thinks she's coming down with something. i had a hell of a time changing the water filter in the cellar today. the perfect time for my bad back and arthritis to collude against me. but, i got the fucker changed after 10 minutes of cussing and wondering if i was going to snap a pipe in two. hopefully we don't have any frozen pipes in the next few days.

i saw most of the cats today. the next few days will be interesting for them. if we do get the snow these assholes are saying we will get, this will be the first significant snowfall some of them have ever seen. i'll definitely have to be on the lookout for dead cats in the next few days. i've already had one freeze to death earlier in the season. i'm not doubting there will be a few more that don't make it.

i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i figure it depends on the weather and how bad it truly does get. i'm expecting i'll have some shoveling to do. hopefully my back holds up.

my uncle goes in for surgery on his hip tomorrow. mom wanted me to go over and say hello to him. i asked if it was just in case he doesn't make it through the surgery. she said yes and i refused. i told her to tell him i didn't come over to say hi because he's not going to die. he got a good laugh out of that.

that's all for me today. hope everyone had a great weekend, a better Monday and... ah, who gives a shit. hope this finds you alive. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

quickly my boy, i've got shit to do...

let me quickly pound this out... (you dirty minds)

i did get to see the Dayton Flyers play last night... on television. if they play like that when i'm not there, i may not come back (the sacrifices i'm willing to make...). a complete ass whipping of Central Michigan, 84-58. my first victory beer in way too long.

the game got over just in time to turn over to see some of the UFC on Fox. 2 great finishes in the co-main events.

i did watch Saturday Night Live last night. excellent. ROH was great as well, but the dickheads at my local ABC station moved the start time up 30 minutes. so, i was basically flipping back and forth between the two. that drove my mom nuts.

got up this morning after my required 4 hours of sleep. my fantasy rosters are in order for football. i'm a little pissed that my fantasy hockey roster shit the bed last night. i'm looking at my first losing week in a long while.

while Manchester United plays this morning, probably during a point they piss me off, i'll be picking up the trash and getting some breakfast. and after the game, (fingers crossed), my truck will start. i've got animals to feed and a ton of trash to get down to the end of the lane.

and if i get all that done without any drama, i'll be ready to get next to a heater and watch some football.

the usual Sunday night viewing for me this evening. season finales of Homeland, Masters of Sex, and Total Divas. i'm hoping all 3 are really good.

that's all for me.
