today has been gloomy as fuck. i don't think the sun has even bothered to fucking show itself yet. it has felt like, especially in my bad back, that it has been raining all day long. i haven't watered the tomatoes, hoping it would fucking rain at some point. these are the days where i wish i had just a little heroin to take the edge off.
the landscapers did a good job yesterday, other than putting the welcome sign in backwards. thankfully, their boss came out this morning and mom told him she wasn't going to pay him until he fixed it. he looked stunned at first and then saw what she was talking about. hopefully, we won't have the problem with weeds anymore in that bed.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
NXT UK was excellent yesterday.
the season finale of Clarice was great last night.
the season finale of The United States of Al was very good last night.
the season finale of Dark Side of Football was about the fans last night.
When Nature Calls last night was hilarious.
Holey Moley was fucking crazy last night.
Desus & Mero was very funny last night.
the Yankees beat the Royals yesterday, 8-1. they start a series tonight in Boston. hopefully, they will find a way to get another victory.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, the season finale of Pause with Sam Jay, The Shop, Real Time with Bill Maher and Betty. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.
at the Copa America last night, Uruguay defeated Bolivia, 2-0 and Paraguay defeated Chile by the same score.
i'm sure i will watch some of Game 7 tonight between Tampa Bay and the New York Islanders, as well as some of the NBA playoffs tonight.
i will hopefully be on here tomorrow in the morning, before the Euro 2020 games start at noon.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
until tomorrow kids...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i didn't sleep worth a shit last night. with the fan off and no music playing, i basically had my nightmares put me to sleep. good times.
i did go and get my blood drawn this morning. i went before i had breakfast, figuring that would give a more accurate picture of things. 3 vials of blood and a bruise later, i was on the way to get what mom wanted for breakfast. around noon or so, we went to her bank to make that deposit. and after that, we went to Lowe's because mom forgot to get the protection plan for the new oven. and of course, she forgot her Lowe's card. thankfully, i usually come to class prepared. it was hot enough today that i could feel a little sweat rolling down my back while i was driving. fasting this morning gave me the shits of course, just what i want on a day where it's approaching the upper 80's.
the New York Yankees won last night over Toronto, 10-8. it would have been a little easier on the pitching staff if Jonathan Holder would have done his job when it was 10-2. thankfully, he's been sent back to the minors. the Yankees are going with the bullpen today, so i'm expecting they might have to win another high scoring game tonight. they did homer last night, equaling the major league record for consecutive games with a home run. hopefully, they set a new record tonight.
i thought Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. still at the age of 43, i mark out for The Undertaker like when i was a kid.
Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.
in the Women's World Cup today, Italy defeated China 2-0 and the Netherlands beat Japan 2-1.
in the Gold Cup last night, Bermuda defeated Nicaragua 2-0 and Haiti beat Costa Rica 2-1. tonight, Jamaica takes on Curacao and Honduras plays El Salvador.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Deadliest Catch, Songland and Big Brother. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i truly have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'd love to get the blog done before the Yankees play in the afternoon. of course, that depends on whether mom decides she feels good enough to want to do something.
she normally doesn't do well in the heat. it really fucks with her Meniere's Disease.
i need to get over to next door and get the trash picked up, so that's all for me kids.
until tomorrow... hopefully the weather is good where you are.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
when i woke up this morning and saw the news about Anthony Bourdain... it was like someone sucker punched me right in the nuts. there have been so many deaths here lately, that you damn near become numb to everything. but Anthony was a dude that made me laugh, think, truly lived a life, at least on camera, that i fucking envied. and then to find out he hung himself in a hotel room in France. to give you a shining example of just how fucking sick i am, my first thought was fuck, i need to lose weight because none of these light fixtures could hold me. as i always tell my mother, at least i will see all my friends again in hell.
so i have been in a bit of a fucking fog all day long. and my fuse has been extremely short. it's hot, humid and i have little time for the stupid, the inconsiderate and the impatient. if i can fake being level headed and calm, you can fucking wait for me to get the groceries in the vehicle before you start pulling into the parking spot. as i tell my mother all the time. if god gives me the sign, i will wipe out a good number of the human race as quickly as i can. she laughs, fearing that i'm telling the truth. i won't give my little secret away.
mom now uses the grocery store to get her walking in. she doesn't walk at a pace per se, i'd call it more of a mosey. i tend to shop in a manner that is more get what you need and get the fuck out. to say i'm a little frustrated is a fucking understatement.
i was not happy last night watching the Capitals win the Stanley Cup. i didn't watch the cup come out. i didn't watch the commissioner get booed. i didn't watch that prick Ovechkin lift it up. to know they won it and how far the New York Rangers have to go to win it again... i get the feeling if i ever see the Rangers win the Stanley Cup again, my life will be just like the sign i saw when they won it in 1994. Now I Can Die in Peace. here are your highlights from the tragedy that was Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW, Major League Wrestling, Real Time with Bill Maher and Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas.
the New York Yankees start the Subway Series tonight at the New York Mets. hopefully the Yankees will keep on winning.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals is tonight. i'd be mildly surprised if there is a Game 5.
i will probably be on here tomorrow in the morning. most likely before the USA men's national team plays a friendly against France. i doubt i want to be blogging right after that game.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i'm fucking spent.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
if you don't recognize the phone number in the subject line, congratulations for not having anyone crazy in your circles. for too many of us, that number happens to be on speed dial. maybe one day we'll treat depression seriously enough that the number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline won't be needed any longer. but, until that foolish utopia comes about, share that number to anyone going through some shit in their life. please.
when i saw it happen yesterday, i laughed. this is what happens when you let a dirty fuck like Luis Suarez continue to play a sport when he should be locked up in an institution. maybe with his THIRD incident like this happening at the World Cup, perhaps he will get the right punishment this time. and god willing, his country and whatever shitty team he ends up playing for, pays for it. but, considering this is FIFA, my hopes aren't high that they will do the right thing.
to recap yesterday's action, Uruguay won 1-0 over Italy in an ugly game. Costa Rica and England played to a 0-0 draw. at least the English got a point in this tournament. Colombia continued their run as the most entertaining team in the tournament, winning 4-1 over Japan. Greece won 2-1 over Ivory Coast on a late penalty kick. i missed that as we had a nice little nasty storm come through and knock out the satellite feed. this all sets up the knockout round games of Columbia vs. Uruguay and Greece vs. Costa Rica. talk about 2 teams no one saw playing each other in the round of 16.
today will be Argentina vs. Nigeria, Iran vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina, Honduras vs. Switzerland, and Ecuador vs. France. i'll be interested to see how Groups E and F shake out.
the Yankees got down by 6 runs last night. they came all the way back to tie the game late. and then lost on a throwing error in the bottom of the 9th. it feels like they are inventing ways to lose now. at least they scored some runs finally. they play again tonight, looking to avoid the sweep.
i enjoyed Deadliest Catch last night. i also enjoyed Tyrant. the twist at the end of the first episode will definitely have me coming back each week.
tonight, two of my guilty summer pleasures will be coming back on television. Big Brother and Wilfred. i know what i will be watching instead of the Yankees playing like shit again.
i was hoping that it was going to be dry yesterday so i could mow this forest of a lawn out here today. and the way the damn forecast looks, it might actually rain for 3 more days. that would make nearly 2 damn weeks of rain. not good.
i did a little art last night. this morning i crumpled it up, but i didn't throw it away. i think it looks more interesting crumpled. if my lazy ass remembers, i might take a picture of it later.
all this rain is doing some serious havoc to my back. i can do all the stretching i need to and i still feel tighter than shit back there. guess it's a good thing i never moved to the pacific northwest like i thought i was going to at 18.
i see the doctor on Friday. my 3 month checkup for my neck and arthritis. my neck is nearly pain free. this rain certainly hasn't helped my arthritis at all.
that's all for me today. i'm off to go ice my back down and squeeze in a nap. hope everyone is doing well. and i certainly hope you live in a place where the sun still exists.
peace and chicken grease...
