it is another cool day here. the last one for probably a few weeks. it is supposed to get back into the 90's starting tomorrow. as i have to remind myself, we really only have two seasons anymore, hot and cold.
the Yankees won again last night in Detroit, 6-2. they go for the sweep this afternoon.
AEW Dynamite was good last night.
Big Brother was good last night. i think Jag might be evicted tonight.
i did catch a little of the MLS games last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, NJPW and the two episode season finale of What We Do in the Shadows.
i'm going to go to Rite Aid after i take a shower. i might try to see if my back is good enough to actually allow me to stand and shave.
i might watch some college football tonight.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i'm off to the shower. enjoy the visual.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
my back has basically been shit for over 20 years now. so, i have learned a few tricks along the way on how to cope when my bad back decides it doesn't want to cooperate. first, plenty of ice. i mean, i made my room last night basically an ice box. AC running and my fan running as well. that helped some. stretching is a necessity. when my back is barking, i try to do it slow and deliberate. same with walking. if i can walk long enough, the back seems to loosen up and the pain dies down. now, the problem is, that pain always comes back. mom asked earlier if i wanted some Tylenol. i told her no, because i end up having to take 6 to even touch the pain. i'll just stick to Jack Daniels. and that boys and girls is why i doubt i will live a long life. of course, the state of Ohio could just make marijuana legal and then maybe i can be as close to pain free as i have been since birth.
grocery shopping took forever today, but i was expecting that. the landscapers were out today as well. they got the backyard done today. i'm sure the guy that mows our grass will be happy.
the Yankees won last night at Detroit, 4-2. holy shit, two wins in a row. they are currently up tonight on Detroit, 2-0.
NXT was very good last night.
Deadliest Catch was good last night.
Don't Forget the Lyrics was pretty funny last night.
Hard Knocks was very good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite and Big Brother.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
so, i did get mom out to the contractor's office this afternoon. it was a bitch to find since the street it is on has 2 addresses with the same number (fucking East Dayton/Kettering), but we eventually got there and on time. thankfully, the number they had for the kitchen renovation was pretty much what mom and i were willing to go to for it, so it is a go. this will greatly upgrade the kitchen and will finally put a fucking dishwasher in there. my back will scream with the pure delight of not having to stand there for hours on end scrubbing dishes.
now, my back has been killing me all day. the 40 minute drive to and back from the contractor's office didn't do me any favors. and i still have dinner to cook tonight. fun.
the Yankees won last night at Detroit, 4-1. they are up 1-0 so far tonight.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.
i did see who the New Orleans Saints kept for their 53 man roster. i'm sure there will be some changes come tomorrow.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Deadliest Catch, Don't Forget the Lyrics and Hard Knocks.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.
i haven't been able to figure out the fucking noise coming from the computer. all the hacks that worked before haven't worked now. so, i figure i'm going to start taking shit off the hard drive (music, pictures) and once that is done, take a trip to Best Buy and get a new one. i think i'm also going to get a different desk and some wire cabinets to make this corner of my room like an insane person's office. if i get this done, i'm sure i will share some pics.

i heard back from Skaja at Disturb the Universe Magazine on my recent poetry submission. my poems "the middle of a thunderstorm", "sympathy for me" and "nightmares become movies" have been accepted for publication.
so, the fan on the computer has been running non-stop again. i did all the troubleshooting i could find on google on what to do. hell, i even fucking cleaned. so, i'm guessing i will be selling an organ to afford a new computer. good times.
that has taken up most of my day. i thought the company looking to do our kitchen was supposed to be here at 3. well, it turns out, we were supposed to go to them at 3. so, that will be the drive tomorrow afternoon. 26 miles away. that should be fun given how mom hates to ride in the Highlander for long distances anymore.
the Yankees lost yesterday at Tampa, 7-4. they start a series tonight at Detroit.
the New Orleans Saints lost last night at home to the Texans, 17-13. they have until tomorrow to cut their roster to 53. that should be interesting to see who the final cuts will be.
Big Brother was good last night.
Heels was very good last night.
Billions was excellent last night.
The Chi was great last night.

if i can get the fan to stop running all the damn time, i might be on here in the morning to get the blog done before i have to drive mom out to the contractor's office. if not, the blog will be another late one.
i wrote two poems today waiting for all the diagnostic tests to get done on the computer. i'll type those up when i get done with this.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

the company that does our heating and air came out last night to diagnose what was going on with the air conditioner. thankfully, it was the capacitor that stopped working. they replaced that and it started working like it should again. $300 well spent.
i actually got some decent sleep last night since my bed was ice cold.
the Yankees lost yesterday at Tampa, 3-0. they are currently winning today, though i won't be surprised if they find a way to lose again.
i did watch plenty of the MLS last night.
i also watched a little of the college football games yesterday.
AEW Collision was very good last night. i did catch the zero hour of their big show today in London at Wembley Stadium. looks like it should be a memorable event.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Heels, Billions and The Chi.
i'm sure i might watch some golf today and some soccer. the New Orleans Saints play tonight at home against the Houston Texans. final pre-season game before the regular starts on September 10th.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after the company hoping to renovate our kitchen stops by to give their estimate.

so, i thought Smackdown did a pretty good job last night remembering Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt. the beginning of the show really got to me. the ending was a really nice touch.
NXT Level Up was pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.
the Yankees won last night at Tampa, 6-2. that was the first time they had won on the road in 2 months. they play again down in that dump this afternoon.
i did get my order from Repacked Wax today. i got some basketball, football and baseball cards. when the first pull from the first pack i opened was a Michael Jordan card worth over $10, i knew i was going to be happy with the cards. all in all, i got a really good mix of cards.

so, when Manchester United got down 2-0 in the first 4 minutes today at home to Nottingham Forest, i quickly turned off the game, knowing i didn't need the fucking stress. thankfully, United came all the way back to win the game, 3-2. they desperately needed that win.
i'm sure i will watch some college football tonight, maybe some MLS and maybe some baseball.
i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i might try to watch some of the pre-show to the ppv AEW has tomorrow in London. i think that will be FREE on YouTube.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

so, after i got done with the blog yesterday, i got the news. and having just come off the death of Terry Funk, this news hit me like a ton of fucking bricks. even a day later, i don't want to fucking believe it. but, part of me is so fucking numb to death anymore, i sadly know it is true. Bray Wyatt died yesterday at the age of 36. heart attack. he was one of the most creative wrestlers i can ever remember. and he had only scratched the surface of what he wanted to do. i feel for his family, his children, and all the fireflies that are hurting today. i did see that WWE was donating all net proceeds from his merchandise to his family. so, i did make a purchase last night. fuck, it was the least i could to do. rest in peace brother. you will never be forgotten.
Big Brother was good last night. Hisam did get evicted. i believe Cameron is the new HOH.
What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night. the two part season finale is next week.
NJPW was excellent last night.

so, around 5 this morning, i rolled over in bed and felt every bone in my body crack. i looked at my phone and sure enough, it was raining. i never remembered any of the weather forecasts saying anything about rain. it was just supposed to be hotter than shit today. well, they got that part correct so far. not sure how much rain we got, but it was certainly enough to give me another shitty night of sleep.
the Yankees actually won last night, defeating the Nationals, 9-1. they are currently trailing the Nationals today in the 9th, 5-4.
FC Cincinnati pissed away a 2-0 lead last night against Inter Miami. they never could find that 3rd goal and that gave Lionel Messi the chance to work his magic. 2 amazing assists later and the game went to extra time 2-2. Inter Miami scored in the first part of extra time. FC Cincinnati scored in the second part of extra time to make it 3-3. Inter Miami won the penalty shootout, 5-4. so, Inter Miami will face the Houston Dynamo in the finals of the U.S. Open Cup.
AEW Dynamite was pretty good last night.
Big Brother was very good last night. looks like we have a sneaky backdoor eviction coming this week. fingers crossed that Hisam will be evicted tonight.

so, this blog was going to be about the heat today, blah blah blah, and then i got the news that one of my favorite wrestlers of all time had died. Terry Funk was one of the few guys i remember seeing back in the late 70's when i was really young. to see him in ECW 20 years later wrestling with barbwire and baseball bats on fire was a fucking mindfuck to say the least. he was the constant entertainer and a way better wrestler than anyone ever gave him credit for. thanks for all the memories, rest in peace.
the Yankees lost last night at home to the Nationals, 2-1.

Deadliest Catch was good last night.

so, after mom got out of her appointment with the dermatologist this afternoon, she wanted to drive back to where we live to see if the food truck that is sometimes out near the highway was out today. so, i drove over there and there it was. turns out, the guy that runs it is my cousin. i haven't done any family shit for over 20 years or so, so i have no fucking clue what these people look like anymore. after seeing the name on the truck, i should have put two and two together. we got a couple burgers and fries and some bourbon chicken and rice for dinner tonight. i have to admit, the burger was fucking fantastic. hopefully, dinner will be just as good.
mom is now at the point where she only has to go to the dermatologist once a year. the spot where she had skin cancer is completely healed. she asked some questions about some other spots she has noticed and the doctor told her those are maturity spots. i told her at least you finally know you are mature.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.

the New York Yankees play at home tonight against the Nationals. if they lose tonight, it will be their first 9 game losing streak since 1982. i am happy they have finally started to call up the kids from AAA. Everson Pereira will be making his major league debut tonight.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done. it is supposed to be hotter than hell tomorrow.
i did manage to get up early this morning and feed the birds.
