so, yet another night where i only got 4 hours of sleep. but, i do feel like i had a pretty damn productive day yesterday. i know where my next 8 poems are going. plus, i got a good shower in and actually did decent on some bets. so, let us begin...

Ohio State defeated Northwestern yesterday at Wrigley Field, 31-7.

i did watch plenty of college football yesterday...

the Dayton Flyers defeated Capital last night, 76-55.

AEW Collision was good last night.

Saturday Night Live was great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Somebody Somewhere and Last Week Tonight.

the New Orleans Saints play today at home against the Browns.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Seattle.

i did watch 2 more episodes of Say Nothing yesterday. i highly recommend checking this show out. i have 3 more episodes to watch.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

until tomorrow kids...

a gloomy day and then some...

i talk from time to time about how this country has gone to fucking hell and we're not the best nation in the world, nor are we free and i know that most people don't bother to pay attention. so, when i saw a CNN crew get arrested this morning on live television, i knew the final nails in the coffin of democracy were being hammered home.

i don't think it would surprise anyone to know if the CNN anchor was white, none of this would have happened.

and honestly, until one of these police officers that murder an unarmed black person gets convicted of murder and does time or dies for his crime, the brewing hatred in this country will continue to fucking burn.

i went to the grocery store to get my pills today. i almost made it back to the Highlander before it started fucking storming. almost.

before that, i went to Meijer to look for some things. i did find one thing they were out of last week. i also had to pick up some individual sleeves for the baseball cards. i found those. i was hoping to find some 2020 cards while i was there. sadly, there was none.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Total Bellas was very good last night.

Holey Moley was hilarious last night.

Shelter in Place with Shane Smith was very good last night.

No Mercy No Malice with Professor Scott Galloway was excellent last night.

Desus & Mero was great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, Real Time with Bill Maher, Betty and Jesus Trejo: Stay At Home Son. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

my arthritis has been fucking with me all day long. i'm guessing if it is rainy again tomorrow, i'm going to spend most of the day having a love affair with ice and a massage chair.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm guessing maybe early afternoon or so.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

a big thank you to everyone who checked out the poems i got published today.

i think i have seen it all now

when i saw Obi Toppin leaking out for a fast break yesterday in the Dayton Flyers game, i was expecting something special. i wasn't expecting him to pull off a dunk after taking the ball between his legs. easily, the craziest dunk i have seen in person in my life. Dayton won the game against Georgia Southern yesterday 94-90. thank god their non-conference schedule is now over. now they start the run of 18 A10 games. i think they are good enough to finish in the top 4 of the league, although i wouldn't be shocked if they don't, considering the coaching.

i got back home in time to watch Clemson finish off destroying Notre Dame. and then i watched Alabama manhandle Oklahoma for a quarter and then just play with them the rest of the game. i could have told you before the college football season started that Clemson and Alabama would be playing for the title. and that's exactly what will happen on January 7th.

the New York Rangers got a couple players back from injury last night and it made a world of difference. the Rangers got two third period goals and came from behind to win in Nashville, 4-3.

team USA lost to Sweden last night in OT, 5-4. considering Sweden was up 4-0 entering the 3rd period, the fact that the USA got anything out of that game is amazing.

ROH was pretty good last night. it was a recap of the women's wrestling in 2018 in ROH.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Ray Donovan and the finale of Escape at Dannemora.

Manchester United plays at home this morning against Bournemouth. i'm really hoping United can keep the string of good results going.

the New Orleans Saints play their regular season finale today at home against Carolina. i'm not expecting many of the starters to play, but i would love to see the Saints get their 14th victory of the season. they have never done that as a franchise in their history.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

please excuse these purple tears

i guess 2016 is going to be the year my musical influences die. i remember being 8 years old and watching Prince on television and being completely blown the fuck away. probably one of the best guitar players you never thought of as a bad ass guitar player. he was always a go to when i was making a mixtape back in the day. see kids, we used to have these things called cassettes and you put songs on both sides of them for either friends or the girl you had a crush on...

you left this world way too soon. you will never be forgotten. may you rest in peace...
"A strong spirit transcends rules" - Prince (June 7, 1958 - April 21, 2016)

for National Poetry Month, i give you:

the New York Yankees last night got two solo home runs and some horrific base running. sadly, if their pitchers aren't perfect, they can't win at the moment. they lost last night 5-2. Oakland goes for the sweep tonight. good times.

Lucha Underground last night was spectacular. i absolutely love this show.

NXT was pretty good last night, but way too short for my liking though. i do think i am going to enjoy No Way Jose though.

it was late last night, as i was helping my mother with her job, that i found out that Chyna had died. this is one of the things i learned early on being a pro wrestling fan. never expect any of them to live long lives. Chyna was amazing at what she did and she was years ahead of her time. may you finally rest in peace Joanie.

so you might imagine what the next round of poems are going to be about. good thing i have plenty of experience writing about death.

speaking of writing, i highly recommend any of you poets out there to send your work to In Between Hangovers. Tasha got back to me with a response about 90 minutes after i sent her my submission. so she's not bullshitting when she says a timely response.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Big Bang Theory, WWE Smackdown and Lip Sync Battle.

the New York Rangers play Game 4 tonight against Pittsburgh. i feel like they really have to win tonight if they want to win this series. i don't think this Rangers team is built to come back from being down 3 games to 1. that being said, the Rangers have lost 4 straight home games in the playoffs and haven't beat the Penguins there all fucking season. hence why i believe tonight is a MUST win game.

appropriately enough, it's been raining just about all day long. perfect for my fucking mood.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.

now i'm off to go put on some purple and go drown myself in some great music.

things are looking up

it's been dry for almost 2 straight days now. if it actually gets to 3, maybe i'll be able to get the grass cut out here. lord knows it needs it.

had an amazing day yesterday in fantasy hockey terms. i don't think i've had that many goals scored for me in one day in years. always nice when it happens during championship week. hopefully the good fortune can continue. it's going to be a dog fight.

watched the Yankees piss away a great game from Kuroda only to be bailed out in extra innings by an absolute horrible defending team in Toronto to win 5-3. they go for the sweep later today. i'm just happy they have won yet another series. i didn't expect this team to be able to click this early.

big game for the New York Rangers later today. i'm licking my chops at their chance to eliminate the Devils from having a chance to make the playoffs. i might want to win this game more than any game since 1994.

had a lovely music discussion last night with a beautiful married woman. i can just imagine the twisted poems that are going to come from my brain. i stopped myself from writing anything last night. i want to let it brew a bit longer.

i hope everyone gets a chance to check out my poem that was published this morning at The Camel Saloon. if you have any feedback on it, please feel free to share it. thanks.

the poet of the day on my Google+ page is Ron Androla. Ron is one of the greats of the small press. do check out his work or read more about him online. he's definitely one you don't want to miss out on.

enjoyed the start of the NBA playoffs yesterday. the only time i even give a thought to watching a full NBA game. if the playoffs are going to be like some of the games yesterday, they're going to be an instant classic.

had a good laugh at ROH tv last night. Kevin Steen going after Matt Hardy was pretty good. not sure how well Steen as a babyface will go... i have no doubt he can pull it off. just not sure if it has any legs past the SCUM angle. should be interesting to watch.

hope everyone has a great day. if you don't see a post from me for a long time in the next few days, rest assured, i have squeezed in the 6 hours needed to mow the grass.
