Happy Valentine's Day...

 this day is somewhat hard for me, mostly because i don't think i have ever been in a relationship on Valentine's Day. 49 fucking years on this planet. let that sink in. but, i also don't want to be the asshole today and just shit all over those in relationships that have special plans or dinners, etc. such a delicate line to walk on. so yeah. a mix of depression and what can i distract myself with. joy.

team USA defeated Finland last night at the 4 Nations Face Off, 6-1. they play Canada tomorrow night.

 it started raining last night. i could feel it in my bones long before it started here. after 3 hours of sleep, it was still raining this morning. it is supposed to stop here soon. i'll believe that when i see it.

Ohio State whipped Purdue yesterday, 45-0.

the New York Rangers won last night at Detroit, 4-0.

the Dayton Flyers won yesterday at home against Northwestern, 71-66. not bad, considering they were down 13 points in the first half yesterday.

i did watch plenty of college football yesterday:

AEW Collision was good last night.

SNL was hilarious last night.

Manchester United won 3-0 this morning.

i guess 5 hours is the best i can expect...

 i got 5 hours of sleep last night. i know i need more, but i'll take what i can get. i did talk to the muse last night. it was good catching up with her. i'm happy she is taking another step in her dream of living in Germany, etc. one thing about me is i always want to see my friends achieve their dreams. and if i can help along the way, i certainly try. now, it would be lovely if that karma would come back and help me with my dreams. apparently, that is where the lines of communication tend to end. good times.

the Yankees won last night at Seattle, 2-1, in 10 innings. the win clinches a playoff spot. the lead in the division is now 5 games. magic number to clinch the division is 6 i think. hopefully, they will get the sweep this afternoon.

Big Brother was good last night. i have no clue who gets evicted tonight between Rubina and T'Kor.

Inside The NFL was very good last night.

AEW Dynamite had a few good matches last night. way more fast forwarding than most weeks.

what a long day...

 hard to believe it has been 2 years since Kobe Bryant died. that also means it has been 2 years since COVID really got into the world. damn.

so, i got the Highlander to the dealership this morning on time. 2 hours later, after an oil change, tire rotation, replacing the engine filter and a light bulb on the drivers side that was out, i was paid up and leaving. i did appreciate the woman i was working with in the service department said she noticed the time and realized i was here way too long. in my head, i was thinking, no shit. but, it all got done for under $200, so i was happy, as was mom. after that, i had to finish the grocery shopping. 

Kroger wasn't too bad today. and thankfully, i pretty much found everything that was on the list.

 so, as i was walking out to get the paper and feed the birds this morning, my cell phone was ringing. 9 times out of 10 it's a fucking spam call, so i paid no attention to it. i checked my phone when i got back in and it was the doctor's office calling to tell me they needed to reschedule my appointment due to a family emergency. so now my appointment is Monday morning at 11:30. considering i'm not a morning person, that should be fucking fun.

so, i spent most of today moving shit around the house for mom before my sister arrives. when she gets here, we're going to see if mom's television would actually work in my room. i haven't had a working tv in my room for a couple years now. but, since all the DIRECTV shit comes out of my room, i have kept everything plugged into the television. so, that should be fun. i wouldn't mind if it does work as that will save me around $500 or so.

the Yankees won again last night over the Twins, 9-6. they will go for the sweep tonight.

the USMNT defeated Costa Rica last night 4-0. i was hoping they wouldn't have a let down after the win against Mexico. i love how young and hungry this team is. the future looks bright, finally.
