i think i must have turned the wrong way or something while getting out of bed. my back has been fighting me all damn day. and since i am stubborn and a glutton for punishment and love my pain tolerance, i went on with my day. that was when my lipoma decided it wanted some fucking attention today. i remembered when my doctor first diagnosed it, he told me it really is nothing unless it attaches to a nerve or wraps around something. well, guess what the fuck i was feeling today. between every step and my back was firing off pain messages and then every few seconds or so, my lipoma brushed up against a nerve ending and that was fucking fun. i'm guessing i probably looked like i was getting ready to have a stroke in the grocery store today. it never fails, every positive i take for myself or whatever, the opposite has to rear its fucking head, just because. fuck me.

so, i decided to get some shit done today. i shaved for the first time in months. i actually took five inches off of my goatee. when it gets long enough to be in my food, i know it is time to cut it back. i had to go to Kroger to return the conditioner i got for mom. she wanted a different kind. i figured once i got that done i would go to Great Clips and get my haircut. there was a bit of a wait at Great Clips even though i signed in online. as the shuffle worked out, Trinity was the one to cut my hair. she is this beautiful light skinned black woman that has the softest hands i have ever felt on my skin in my life. for that alone, she was going to get a good tip. i gave her a $10 tip on a $20 haircut. she was happy. i sent a pic of the new me to the muse. her response made me laugh. hell is going to freeze over. that made my day.

when the Rangers got down yesterday 4-1 against the Islanders, i wasn't happy. but, i didn't give up hope yet either. now, no team had ever come back from a 3 goal deficit while playing in one of the outdoor games. the Rangers coach had never won one of these games. but, the franchise is undefeated in outdoor games. thankfully, the Islanders made the mistake of putting the Rangers on the power play. the Islanders penalty kill is the worst in the league. honestly, it is worse than most teams i have seen in the lower leagues. the Rangers came all the way to tie the game at 5 in regulation. then, 10 seconds into overtime, Artemi Panarin ended it with one of the craziest endings in a long time. Rangers won 6-5, in OT. they are now 5-0 in outdoor games.
the Daytona 500 got rained out yesterday. so, they will race this afternoon.

i know when i'm finally eating lunch and it is close to 5 PM, i have had a pretty busy day. i made it to the bank and Rite Aid this morning. after that, i had to ice my back down as the weather was truly fucking with me today. very windy, some rain, miserable. i took mom to her doctor's appointment. after that we drove to her bank to get some money out of the ATM. and them we drove past the old farm on the way home. for some reason, we didn't get any mail today. my guess is the mailbox will be completely fucking full tomorrow. tomorrow will be laundry day for me as it is supposed to snow.

i made a bet back in August last year that the Kansas City Chiefs would win the Super Bowl. after last night, i wish i would have been able to put more on that bet. but, the one rule i stick to when gambling is only bet what you can afford to lose. so, i put $1 down on it and won $9 last night when the Chiefs won in overtime over the 49ers, 25-22. i thought the game eventually got good. halftime was really good. the commercials were sort of hit and miss for me, but there were more hits than misses. add in the nachos i made for dinner and all in all, it was a pretty good night.
