well, i woke up late...

 i wanted to have the blog done today before Manchester United played this morning, but i didn't get to bed until 5 AM. and i guess i was so exhausted, i slept until almost 11. i didn't have breakfast until after noon. joy. 

Manchester United lost at Arsenal today, 3-1. i didn't watch any of the game. the international break is on for the next two weeks. i am pissed with the reports that the Glazers have decided not to sell Manchester United now. i hope they love non-stop protests. i can just imagine the living hell the next two years are going to be.

the Yankees won last night at Houston, 5-4. they go for the sweep tonight.

Ohio State defeated Indiana yesterday, 23-3. talk about a game that was bowling shoe ugly to watch. i'm not sure Ohio State has a QB that is even close to what they have had the last few years. they play Youngstown State next week at home. if that game is as ugly as the Indiana one was, it is going to be a long ass season.

i did watch a few college football games yesterday. Purdue screwed up my 10 game parlay. i went 9-1.

WWE Payback last night was excellent.

AEW Collision was good last night. it started off with the news that AEW fired CM Punk yesterday. a bit awkward since the show was in Chicago.

 so, i got the news in the middle of the night that Jimmy Buffett died. i was never big on his music, but i did like him since he was a huge New Orleans Saints fan. and any man that can build an empire out of being a beach bum is a man i will respect. rest in peace.

Jasson Dominguez homered on his first swing in the major leagues last night. the Yankees won in Houston, 6-2.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

sometimes you just get numb to it all...

i was born in 1976. so, growing up in the 80's and being a big basketball fan, i watched the Big East conference religiously. so, when i woke up this morning and saw that John Thompson, the legendary coach from Georgetown had died, i was crushed. when i played basketball in junior high, those Georgetown teams and the way they played defense was one of the models we used for our team. we never lost a game by the way. yet another damn death in the last few days. rest in peace coach.

WWE Payback was excellent last night. many title changes and over at 9:30 in the evening. fucking perfect.

Big Brother was good last night.

Lovecraft Country was great last night.

The Vow was very good last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

Love Fraud was pretty good last night.

We Hunt Together was good last night.

the Yankees won both games of the doubleheader yesterday against the Mets, both in extra innings. the first game was totally fucking unexpected, as the Yankees were down 7-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. amazingly, they tied the game and won it in the 8th, 8-7. Deivi Garcia made his MLB debut in Game 2 and didn't disappoint. i'm really hoping the Yankees keep him in the rotation. Gary Sanchez hit a pinch hit grand slam in the 8th inning last night and the Yankees won 5-2. they take that 3 game winning streak into a series tonight at home against Tampa. hopefully, they keep it going.

i'm back to not sleeping well again. i couldn't fall asleep until almost 5 this morning. i was back up at 9, rinse, repeat, start the day. the cycle never ends it seems.
