the end of the month...

it has been hot as hell here the last few days. that is supposed to change today, which of course means, nothing but thunderstorms. joy.

the Yankees won last night at home against the Cardinals, 6-3. hopefully, they will win again this afternoon.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW Rampage was good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

for some reason, the local CW last night showed a minor league baseball game instead of Inside the NFL. so, i'm going to try to find it online sometime today and watch it, hopefully.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Collision.

WWE Bash in Berlin is this afternoon. it should be really good.

Ohio State starts their season today at home against Akron. i'l be watching that after wrestling.

i'm sure i will watch plenty of college football today, probably soccer as well.

i will hopefully be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays Liverpool.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

just enough rain to make me miserable...

i think we're getting some of the hurricane or what is left of the tropical depression today. it has been raining on and off for hours now. just enough to make me fucking miserable. joy.

the Yankees lost again last night, to the Angels, 8-7. hopefully they will end the losing streak tonight.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, Deadliest Catch and Hard Knocks.

i have spent a good portion of today watching the deadline coverage of the transfer window, wondering what Manchester United might do.

when i read CR7's message this morning to all the United fans, i started to cry. the line that this was for Sir Alex got to me. if Cristiano can bring home some trophies in his second time with the club, he will be a god.

i need to pick up the trash and get that out. i also have a couple of checks to write. hopefully, i will get paid tomorrow and add a trip to the bank to all the grocery shopping i need to do.

i should be on here after i get that all done tomorrow.

until tomorrow kids...

sometimes you just get numb to it all...

i was born in 1976. so, growing up in the 80's and being a big basketball fan, i watched the Big East conference religiously. so, when i woke up this morning and saw that John Thompson, the legendary coach from Georgetown had died, i was crushed. when i played basketball in junior high, those Georgetown teams and the way they played defense was one of the models we used for our team. we never lost a game by the way. yet another damn death in the last few days. rest in peace coach.

WWE Payback was excellent last night. many title changes and over at 9:30 in the evening. fucking perfect.

Big Brother was good last night.

Lovecraft Country was great last night.

The Vow was very good last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

Love Fraud was pretty good last night.

We Hunt Together was good last night.

the Yankees won both games of the doubleheader yesterday against the Mets, both in extra innings. the first game was totally fucking unexpected, as the Yankees were down 7-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. amazingly, they tied the game and won it in the 8th, 8-7. Deivi Garcia made his MLB debut in Game 2 and didn't disappoint. i'm really hoping the Yankees keep him in the rotation. Gary Sanchez hit a pinch hit grand slam in the 8th inning last night and the Yankees won 5-2. they take that 3 game winning streak into a series tonight at home against Tampa. hopefully, they keep it going.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Axios. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i did listen to episode 306 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm hoping to actually get some sleep before the fucking sun comes up. if that actually happens, i might be on here in the early afternoon.

persona non grata

there was a time in my life where i absolutely hated being in public. thankfully, those days are behind me now. but, i get a little reminder now and then exactly why i was in that state of mind to begin with. i went to the grocery store today and right as i walked in, the father of my best friend from my childhood was there. he didn't see me as he picked up the ad and walked back to his wife. they both then looked right at me and kept right on going. these are people i have known for more than 30 years. and i'm right back inside my head, being the classic case of out of sight, out of mind. but, wearing your emotions on your sleeves is an excellent way to find a poem.

i was able to get the groceries today and the two prescriptions mom called in to be picked up for under $75. that made me happy.

the New York Yankees lost the second game of the doubleheader yesterday 9-4. given the sweep by Cleveland, the Yankees are now 5 games behind Boston. they start a 4 game series against Boston tonight at home. i really doubt the Yankees have a shot at winning the division now. sadly, their wild card spot is also in jeopardy now. if the Red Sox come in crush them, the Yankees will be fucked. and their owner already has said if they don't make the playoffs, this season would be a disappointment. it just feels like the young guys are running out of gas and the team just can't compete against the better teams. not to say this weekend is going to make or break their season, but there's a real good fucking chance it will.

NXT was really good last night. i can't wait to see Adam Cole in action once again.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night.

Mr. Mercedes was fucking brilliant last night.

Snowfall was great last night. the season finale next week looks like it should be amazing.

Big Brother was good last night. hopefully the house now understands that Jason needs to go soon.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, Fuck, That's Delicious Classics and The Chris Gethard Show.

that Big Brother episode will be on real late because of NFL preseason football. i'm not sure if i'll already know what's happened on the episode or not by then.

the New Orleans Saints play at home tonight against Baltimore. hopefully there are no injuries tonight and the guys can figure out the best players to take into the season. i have high hopes this year.

i will be watching Ohio State take on Indiana for most of the evening. it's a classic trap game. first game of the season. conference rival on the road. and oh by the way, Indiana's former head coach is now Ohio State's offensive coordinator. and given that Ohio State is #2 in the country, Indiana will be licking their chops for an upset. hopefully, i will be happy and drinking tonight.

i believe the remnants from Harvey will be here tomorrow. we certainly could use some rain, not a flood, but some rain would be good.

mom's eye is continuing to get better. hopefully by this time next month, she'll have new glasses, better vision and will actually be able to function without squinting all the time.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. if we do get rain, i'm sure my arthritis will be fucking with me. good times.

have a good one kids.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
