waking up in a pool of drool...

 i didn't get to bed until after 5 this morning. part of that was mom wasn't asleep yet. the other part was i have a tendency to need to drain my brain to actually sleep. so, i woke up in a pool of my own drool at 10 in the morning. that was certainly later than i wanted to. after filling the toilet with piss, i was wondering why i was in pain. of course, it was raining. just enough to make the arthritis ache like a motherfucker. joy.

i did get all the grocery shopping done. didn't have a long list this week, so i was able to keep it under $150. 

the Yankees won last night at home against Detroit, 5-1. they are back to .500 now, amazingly. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

NXT was very good last night.

Deadliest Catch was good last night.

the season finale of Hard Knocks was excellent last night.

having Inside the NFL on regular tv was kind of weird. having it on the CW was really weird as well. i'm guessing once the show gets to going over the games each week, it will get better.

 it was a very foggy morning around here. and of course, i went to bed early, which meant i got up earlier than i wanted. plus, i got 3 shits in before 1 PM. good times.

i did watch some of Game 4 of the World Series last night. given Houston's pitching staff and considering they did the same thing to the Yankees earlier in the season, i wasn't surprised by the combined no-hitter. the pivotal Game 5 is tonight below are your highlights:

Manchester United plays Real Sociedad in Spain today in the last games of the group stage in the Europa League. United needs to win today by 2 goals or more to win the group and advance. if that happens, they will avoid playing one of the teams dropping down from the Champions League in a brutal home and away matches in February. i am really hoping United pulls it off today.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against the Boston Bruins. Boston is one of the best teams in the league to start the season, so this will be a big game for the Rangers.

hopefully, i will have all my laundry done before the Rangers game tonight. 

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

riding the waves of pain...

 so, i managed to get a decent amount of sleep last night. i'm thinking that was due to the alcohol from the Yankees actually fucking winning a game. the pinched nerve in my neck and right shoulder does like to be an attention whore most of the time. but, i am an old pro at riding the waves of pain. 

the Yankees won last night in Anaheim, 7-4. Aaron Judge hit his 51st HR of the season. he is 11 away now from setting the Yankees and American League record. hopefully, the Yankees will win the series tonight.

the grocery stores were a bit crowded today but i was able to get everything on the list.

now, i need to go cut down some tomato plants that were awful this year. way too hot and way too much humidity for any good tomatoes. i told mom we should only get 1 tomato plant next year and just grow roses in the other containers we have.

hopefully, i can get that done pretty quick. then, take a shower, make dinner and sit down for a night in front of the television.

of course, i'll need ice galore after i get all that done.

i think mom has a dental appointment tomorrow. i'm going to try to get the blog done before that, so i should be on here in the morning.

that will also be before Manchester United plays.

i got lucky today...

 so, i got a box of football cards at Rite Aid today and two packs of baseball cards at Meijer that were exclusive to Meijer. to be honest, i got those because they were the only cards at Meijer that weren't overpriced. so, all in all, i paid around $17 for those 3 things. in the football box, i got a hit. in the Colorado pack of college cards, there was a card with part of a jersey in it. that card is going for around $25 on ebay. in the baseball packs, i found a Corey Seager rookie card. that is worth around $20 or so. so, i was pretty pleased after going through all those cards today.

the grocery stores today were tiring as fuck. my back was killing me, fuck, still is to be honest. prices have gone up on just about everything now. but, i got everything on the list, so we should be fully stocked for a bit now.

The Voice was good last night.

NXT had their Halloween Havoc event last night. it was really good. plenty of title changes.
