insomnia is taking over these days...

for the second or maybe 500th straight night, i found myself swimming down the drain of various rabbit holes on the internet around 3 in the morning. exhaustion doesn't work anymore. alcohol doesn't put me to sleep anymore. i figure if i start mixing pills i'm going to end up like Heath Ledger without the money. what i would give for something like 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep...

Vice News Tonight was very interesting last night. it showed what it is like for a family traveling in China for the Chinese New Year. very, very interesting.

Gotham was fucking great last night.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night.

Young Sheldon was pretty funny as well last night.

Will & Grace was fucking hilarious last night.

Life in Pieces was very funny last night.

Lip Sync Battle was pretty good last night.

Atlanta was fucking great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher, High Maintenance and the two part season finale of Treehouse Masters.

the New York Rangers play tonight in Calgary. i'll probably check that out during commercials. i'm not expecting them to win tonight.

i did see the New York Yankees win on a walk off home run from Tyler Austin this afternoon. hopefully they are getting into the good habit of winning early this season. the dog days of the baseball season will be here before you know it.

i went to the bank before i went to the grocery store today. the guy in front of me at the back was a skinnier version of me. although, i think my goatee looks much better than his beard, his tattoos were much more elaborate than mine. and i am way too old now to be wearing shorts when it's 40 degrees out.

the grocery store went pretty well. i laugh at the number of women that seem scared of me when i turn down an aisle. of course, i doubt my cheery disposition can make it past this fucking wall.

i'll be on here tomorrow sometime before i go to the Dayton Flyers game in the afternoon. it's the last home game of the season. i'd love to see them win on Senior Day, but i won't be holding my breath. i believe mom is going to try to go to the game. that should be interesting.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

4 inches of rain and counting...

i have been in pain all day long. the rain started this morning and hasn't stopped. the field behind our house is starting to have spots where the water is standing. i know a couple of hours ago we were at 4 inches so far. i have no clue when the rain is going to stop.

since the rain was so bad it knocked out the satellite feed this morning for a few minutes, i decided to start writing. i wrote one poem last night and ended up writing 4 more this morning. i typed up all 5 this afternoon. i think a couple of them are really fucking good.

the New York Yankees pissed away a 5-1 lead last night to lose 10-5. fuck me. they start a series tonight at home against Texas.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

i absolutely loved what the Sacramento Kings did last night in the NBA draft. and i haven't been able to say that for years. to come out of the draft with 4 solid players that really can add so damn much to the franchise was well beyond my wildest dreams.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW and Real Time with Bill Maher.

i wasn't planning on paying much attention to the NHL draft tonight and then the New York Rangers traded their backup goalie and their top center to Arizona for a defenseman and the #7 pick in the first round tonight. so, i guess i will be paying attention to the first round for sure. the Rangers have 2 picks in the first round and i get the feeling they aren't done wheeling and dealing just yet.

i'm trying to write this while doing mom's laundry. nothing quite like trying to figure out what to type while folding underwear.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know i have some shit to return that mom doesn't want now. i was going to do that today but decided not to once the fucking monsoon hit. and since the Confederations Cup games start at 11 in the morning here, i suppose i will try to be on here in the morning, maybe right after the morning shit.

now there's a visual to leave you on.

i hope everyone has a great Friday night. hopefully it's not raining wherever you are.

it was cold enough to turn back on the furnace

when i saw the weather report that it was going to get down to low 40's overnight, i didn't think much of it. but, after mistakenly leaving a window open late into the evening, i'm really happy i thought about turning the heat back on for this morning. this house would be amazingly cold if i didn't. it's bad enough that both my mother and i are coming down with the sniffles. not exactly how i wanted to start this busy ass day.

Ohio State whipped Kent State yesterday 66-0. that's how you should respond to a loss.

the Yankees won 3-2 yesterday. i can't say i watched more than 5 minutes of the game. they play again tonight. i imagine i'll watch even less of that game, especially with it being on ESPN.

i did watch most of the Madrid derby yesterday. amazing given all the names Real Madrid has and they still lost at home. i was in and out of a few other games the rest of the day. other than that, most of the day i had a Bath Crashers marathon on. since we're thinking about moving, we're getting back into new home vs. old home mode when watching these shows.

the new episode of ROH was excellent last night. both matches were great.

Manchester United plays QPR later this morning. hopefully all the new boys play and they FINALLY get a win. it will be weird to see Rio in a different uniform today.

i need to get the animals fed and the trash picked up before that happens. plus, i probably should get some breakfast in me as well.

after a good 7 hours or so of the NFL today, i'll definitely be ready for my Sunday night shows. i believe all of them are on tonight. i haven't done my usual anal planning ahead. Big Brother, Boardwalk Empire, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, Total Divas, Ray Donovan, and Masters of Sex. yet another long night where i really could use a DVR.

i believe my sister goes back to her home later today. it's always nice to have her down here. of course, looks like we're going to be up at her place more often as amazingly enough, the hockey season starts back up in a week from now. i'm not sure how much i'll really be into watching 2 teams i couldn't give a shit about. but, there are plenty of ex-New York Rangers around the league that i'll certainly remember the names. more on that in the coming weeks.

alright, enough of my rambling. i need to get going. hopefully everyone enjoyed their Saturday. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time today.
