nothing like a mixture of anger and heat...

when the first words you hear in a doctor's appointment is the doctor saying i'm not sure why they sent you here, you can imagine my reaction. we had just driven 30 minutes in 90 degree heat to the hospital mom was supposed to be at. of course, she didn't check the exact place where we were supposed to be, so we ended up having to walk close to a 1/2 mile to the other side of the hospital to get to the appointment. by this time, my mother's back was screaming in pain. the doctor comes in and says he's looked at mom's records and this is a fight between an insurance company and the government, way above his pay scale. he said there is clearly no way mom could return to her old job and if there is a job out there that mom could do, good luck finding it. so, we went through hell for a 10 minute talk. the receptionist told me it would be quicker to walk around the building to get back to where i parked and mom could just wait in the lobby. i took that route and about halfway through it, i realized why i should have just made the way back through the maze inside the hospital. it was fucking hot as hell. and i was dressed in all black. joy. by the time i got to car, i had a good sweat going on. i still had to do the fucking grocery shopping. i went back and picked up mom (i had to drive around the block sort of to do that) and she wanted some lunch. i agreed, as nothing good comes from me going to the grocery store on an empty stomach.

i didn't get to the grocery store until around 3 in the afternoon. i knew it was going to be a fucking madhouse. and it was. i was able to get everything on the list and keep it around $100. thankfully, i was able to get everything home before the frozen foods were no longer frozen.

i didn't have the writing session i wanted to yesterday and i didn't write anything last night, mostly because i was too fucking pissed at the Yankees loss. of course, they would fucking lose on the same night Boston finally fucking lost a game.

the Yankees lost 6-5 to the Indians last night. i put most of the loss on the manager. why did he leave the starter in as long as he did? why the fuck was Aaron Judge trying to steal with Giancarlo Stanton on deck? that one really stung as Stanton hit what should have been the game tying homer in the next inning. just a fucking frustrating loss. hopefully, they will win tonight and maybe Boston could lose again.

VICE was pretty sobering last night. no one really talks about the entire generation of kids that have lost parents to the opioid epidemic.

Major League Wrestling was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

World Cup Update:
Belgium defeated England 2-0 for 3rd place. Belgium pretty much controlled the entire first half. England made a change at halftime that really changed the way the game went. and just as it looked like England was going to even the game, Belgium scored late to seal the game away. France takes on Croatia tomorrow for the title.

i've been watching videos of black women masturbating in vehicles here lately. i had a killer line come to me while watching, so i do think there will be some poems written today.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow before the World Cup final starts. tomorrow is a fucking busy one given everything happening. so, if i don't write the blog in the morning, you shouldn't expect one.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. enjoy the sunshine, the pretty ladies and as much free booze as you can possibly handle.

ignoring the pain

yesterday was the first day in a long time that i was tempted to start mixing pain pills and alcohol again. my body ached all fucking day long with all the rain and humidity. miserable isn't a strong enough word. but, as usual with my life, i just ignored it. that doesn't make it go away, but my brain usually wins most wars.

Germany won the World Cup 1-0 over Argentina. the first half was really good. the second half bored me to death. i must have fallen asleep 3 different times. i was awake for extra time. the Germany goal basically came out of nowhere. i thought for sure Argentina was going to get it to penalty kicks. but, hats off to Germany. they were easily the best team in the tournament.

the Yankees lost last night, 3-1, in a rain-shortened affair. i might have watched 3 minutes of the 4 1/2 innings they played. they sit at .500 at the all star break, 5 games out of first place. with so much of the starting rotation on the disabled list, i will be fucking shocked if this team makes the playoffs.

the all star festivities kick off tonight with the home run derby and whatever other shit they do for it. needless to say, i won't be watching. i might watch some of the actual game tomorrow, mostly for the Derek Jeter tributes, etc, but that would be it.

the Sunday night shows were pretty good. Big Brother had a few laughs. Ray Donovan was good. reminded me that i really could use a Spanish woman in my life right about now. Masters of Sex was good. Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious. The Strain was creepy as fuck. definitely will have to keep that show in the rotation.

as for tonight, basically it will be Monday Night Raw and probably a nap.

got some words swimming up around my head. i'll probably have some poems try to bust out here soon, most likely right as i start washing the dishes. i've been a lazy ass, so i have a big stack to get to.

looks like we have one more night of storms to get through and then it will be unseasonably cool once again. i know one thing, all this rain has done wonders for the corn. hopefully, we will have a great harvest this year. i wouldn't mind, if it is going to be our last, to go out with a bang.

that's all for me today. hope this finds everyone well.

peace and chicken grease...

where to begin

first off, a thank you to all of you who commented on my first video. i have 2 more i need to post and will do that sometime later today. i did all of these as more of a fuck it, just do it, kind of thing than anything else. i figure i'm 37, what the fuck am i waiting for? i have no clue where all of this will end up, just hoping to enjoy the ride.

i didn't get to go to the Dayton Flyers game last night. my mother had her knee appointment changed (oh how i love insurance companies) and made it home too late for us to get to the game. not a big deal as it was on television. her verdict on her knee, drum roll please, no torn ligaments. thankfully. BUT, arthritis and 2 huge bone spurs. so, sometime this summer, she gets to go through knee replacement. FUN.

as for the game, this was exactly what Dayton needed. a complete and total beat down. they absolutely destroyed Fordham by 45 points. it was pretty nice to watch as i really didn't need to yell and scream that much. i think the only lead the other team had was 3-0. hopefully, the game on the weekend is similar.

i also got to watch the New York Rangers finally get a win. a fantastic game to watch. god, i missed hockey. a hat trick for Gaborik (which really helps my fantasy team) with the 3rd goal coming as the overtime winner. another big one coming tonight vs. Philly. hopefully the dominance from last season continues.

got a nice letter yesterday from Lee Thorn. he's started publishing people on his blog. i will be sending him some work in the next few weeks. you can find the blog here:

check back here later for the videos. i actually make an appearance in these.
