i just got back from getting some prescriptions from Kroger. i finally got mom to start taking her medications again. i think she is a little frightened at just how fragile her mental health is anymore. i chuckled and said you should see it from this side. she hugged me and said i'm sure you can't wait until i die. i told her no, i just know it will happen one day. and it will happen when it is your time. so yeah, another uplifting day here in the house of apathy.
here are your links for this day of Black History Month:
i just love the mornings where i'm up after 3 1/2 hours of sleep; don't make it to the toilet in time for a shit; my back gives out while i'm shaving; the shower turns into a deep question of which is the quickest way to die?... and this was all before fucking noon. joy.
mom did have her doctor's appointment today. she got an injection for her bones. i wrote 10 poems while she was getting that done. i will type those up later tonight. after her procedure, we went to Waffle House. before the procedure she wanted to go to Miller Lane, where all the chain restaurants are. after the procedure and walking a little, she knew she couldn't do that. so Waffle House it was. the waitress there knows us. joy.
Miz and Mrs was pretty fucking funny last night.
NXT was excellent last night.
AEW was really good last night as well.

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon and The Unicorn. i already watched NXT UK this afternoon. it was pretty good.
the Dayton Flyers won last night at Duquesne, 73-69. they nearly blew a 19 point lead in the second half. but, a win is a win. the Flyers are now 19-2. they play at home on Saturday against Fordham.
i'll be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done. of course, since i will be out and about, it's supposed to either rain or snow tomorrow. joy.
that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

i'm not going to turn this entire blog post into a political rant, but i would like to get something off of my chest. i never honestly thought i would see a time in my life where this country would dip back into its past and do something truly fucking stupid. i suppose being naive is not a good thing, especially when dealing with rich people. the #MuslimBan is one of the stupidest things i have seen this country do. it's even more scary when you realize King Trump didn't include the 3 countries he has business with in the ban. you dumb fucks still want a business man to run the country? the countless stories of the highly educated people that were blocked from coming into the country for their jobs and after years of being vetted is just so fucking stupid. has this country ever fucking thought to maybe take care of the terrorists that are homegrown first? my only hope is someone has the fucking guts to impeach the fucker. i'm sure he'll start a fucking race war before that can happen though. i always wondered what it was like in this country when there was daily riots and just pure fucking chaos. i guess the asshole is providing a trip down memory lane. appropriate i guess since i'm sure that fucker couldn't pass a history test to save his fucking life. i want all of you to go to this link and really read this, i mean really let it sink in... https://medium.com/@yonatanzunger/trial-balloon-for-a-coup-e024990891d5#.fb17ye153
on the whole, the Royal Rumble last night was a very good show. i don't have a complaint about who won the Rumble (Randy Orton), just some minor things to bitch about. as for John Cena winning his 16th world title (same as Ric Flair), i have some major bitching about that. the match between him and AJ Styles was excellent, but i know damn well that Cena couldn't out wrestle AJ in his fucking sleep with both arms broken. what pissed me off even more was this fucking ego maniac did a god damn Make A Wish thing right after the match. on camera of course. don't get me wrong, i love that John Cena has given so much of his time to Make A Wish. but the need to have it fucking publicized like that is the sign of a true fucking asshole. as for the Rumble, the only real surprise was Tye Dillinger coming in at number 10 (appropriate since his gimmick is the Perfect 10). when Roman Reigns came in at 30, i had the feeling of Vince shoving his dick down my throat. where was Samoa Joe? where was the 100,000 other people other than Roman you could have picked. and then when Roman eliminated my pick to win it all, Bray Wyatt, i nearly wanted to break my damn computer. (my Blu-ray player shit the bed last night, so i had to watch the event on the computer). thankfully, Orton eliminated Reigns. now, i have seen Orton vs. Cena more times than i care to admit. if that's the WrestleMania main event, it's time to put Vince in a home. hopefully that's not the case, although with Vince out of the way, i have no doubt HHH could do the job way better.
The Young Pope was very good last night. tonight should be pretty interesting.
Homeland was really good last night.
The Affair was not the season finale i was expecting, especially after the holy shit episode the week before. don't get me wrong, it was a very good episode, but it certainly left plenty of loose ends.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Gotham, The Young Pope, Hate Thy Neighbor and Becoming Warren Buffett. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
team USA had a pretty boring soccer match yesterday against Serbia. i'm not sure the USA was really trying to score. i think they thought it was more important to keep a clean sheet. so, a 0-0 draw it was.
i did watch some of the NHL All-Star game yesterday. i really like that they have turned this into a 3 on 3 tournament. it's more entertaining than a regular game.
i did do a little poetry work today. i think i may have a new place to send to. more on that in February.
i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon. i have to take mom to a doctor's appointment in the morning.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

so when i woke up at 7 this morning i had no idea that i wouldn't get a chance to write this blog post until sometime after 9 PM. i'm running on fumes at the moment.
i got up and got ready to go get my blood work done. just my luck, i got an intern. she couldn't find a vein to save her life and then she couldn't keep my blood flowing into the vial that well either. i'm pretty damn sure i'll have a nice bruise from all of that. good times.
before i get to the rest of this crazy day, i should recap last night first.
Undateable was spectacular last night. i love when the show is 60 minutes long, mostly because the cast is full of assholes that try to get the other cast members to fuck up. i was laughing my ass off for most of the episode.
NJPW was excellent. Treehouse Masters was really good as well.
and yes, the chili made the night full of laughs and gas. and it lasted into today as well. good times.
the Dayton Flyers played like shit today, although you wouldn't know by looking at the final score. they beat LaSalle 59-44. they of course were losing at times in the first half and went long stretches without scoring. i'm sure people around the country loved watching that. eventually LaSalle ran out of gas and Dayton did just enough to win. hopefully they enjoy the week off before they play at George Mason.
after the game, we went out to eat. i was starving, mostly because i didn't eat a big breakfast after getting my blood work done. we went to Fricker's and it was crowded. we got there just in time as it got even more crowded by the time we were leaving.
after eating, we headed to Menards. mom had shit to return and god knows we had to take advantage of the 11% rebate on everything. i did find a few things i could use. i'm trying to reorganize all my books, especially all of the small press things i have from over the last 20 years or so. plus, i can't turn down 2 really good ink pens for just 99 cents. besides, i also had a coupon for some more bird seed.
it was interesting driving home in the dark. especially on the back roads. that's always fun; drunk drivers and wild animals... what could go wrong?
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Austin City Limits and ROH.
i am planning on going to the grocery store with mom tomorrow morning. after that, it will be writing and laundry. if i don't go to the store, everything will start a little sooner.
it was in the 50's today here. it felt really nice this evening. of course, it will probably snow in a few days. Ohio, if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes.
that's all for me kids. i'm off to go enjoy a couple victory drinks and settle in for the night.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. and hopefully you won't be reading this until that great Saturday is over.
