now i remember why i never wanted to be an adult...

so, i finally got a phone call through to the pharmacy at Kroger. they had some Trulicity and took all my information and got my prescription transferred over to Kroger from Rite Aid. and amazingly, it was only $25. now, i was hoping they were going to call to say it was ready while i was shopping at Meijer. of course, that call never came. so, i checked the website when i got home and saw it was ready. nothing like going back out during rush hour traffic. this kind of running around is the adult shit i never liked. and given how Manchester United lost yesterday and how the Yankees didn't do much today in the home opener... let alone a fucking earthquake on the east coast today. that was a phone call from the muse this morning i certainly was not expecting...

here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:

so, let me get this shit out of the way. when Manchester United got down 2-0 yesterday at Chelsea, i was not surprised. when they tied it at 2 by halftime, i still wasn't surprised. when Garnacho scored to make 3-2 late, all i was hoping was they were going to show they actually learned their lesson from the last game and could see it out. silly me. Chelsea scored 2 goals in the last 3 minutes to win the game 4-3. to have that loss and then have your next game be at home to Liverpool... if they shit the bed in that like they did at Chelsea, ETH will be looking for a job.

the New York Yankees lost today at home to Toronto, 3-0. that was the first time they were shutout in the home opener since 1967. fuck me.

Young Sheldon was pretty funny last night.

NJPW was really good last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show. i'll watch the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony tonight on Peacock.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Detroit.

i will be on here in the morning tomorrow as WrestleMania weekend kicks off by noon tomorrow.

i did send some poems off last night for the possible inclusion into a new book i will have out in July with one of my favorite female poets, Casey Renee Kiser.

i hope everyone has an amazing weekend.

a rainy day...

so today we have had some thunderstorms, a tornado watch, some wind, plenty of rain, etc. the only good thing about it raining on a Wednesday is that usually means no one is at the grocery stores. that made life pretty good today, other than the pain from my arthritis.

here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

so, since i was last on the blog, the New York Yankees lost last night to the Phillies, 4-1. they won today to win the series against the Phillies, 4-2.

NXT was good last night.

MLW was good last night.

The Voice was excellent last night.

That's My Jam was hilarious last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night.

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite, AEW All Access, The Masked Singer and Snowfall.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Tampa Bay.

the New York Knicks play tonight at Indiana.

Manchester United won today at home against Brentford, 1-0.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. the Yankees were supposed to play at Baltimore tomorrow, but that has already been postponed. i'm going to try to get the blog done before mom has her physical therapy session tomorrow. so, if that actually happens, i'll be on here in the morning. fingers crossed.

i need to go make dinner and hope this fucking rain ends soon.

today is one of those dates you always remember...

April 5th is one of the dates in my life i never forget. 2 of the biggest influences on my way of thinking, my view on the world, the way i look at art and the way i write, both passed away on this date. Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley. so, today has been a mix of reflecting and knowing i had a ton of shit to get done as well. so far, i'm only a little behind. not bad.

here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month.

and while we're talking about poems, i got my copy of Horror Sleaze Trash: Poems in the mail today. i highly urge everyone to pick this up. it's worth your time and money.
https://www.amazon.com/Horror-Sleaze-Trash-Poems-Various/dp/1090773080

here are your highlights from the New York Yankees victory yesterday:

The Big Bang Theory was very funny last night.

Young Sheldon was hilarious last night.

the season finale of Will & Grace was fucking spectacular last night.

Better Things was great last night.

Desus & Mero was brilliant as usual last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, 3 episodes of NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas. i'll be watching NXT Takeover:New York for most of the evening on WWE Network. tonight starts WrestleMania weekend.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Columbus. i think if Columbus wins tonight, they are in the playoffs. so, i don't see any chance the Rangers win tonight.

i probably only got around 4 hours of sleep last night. i got enough coffee in me this morning that i could get the grocery shopping done before noon. amazingly, that did happen. i got mom to her tax appointment on time. that lasted for over a hour. she was afraid she was going to owe this year. she took enough of a loss on the property she sold that i don't think she will have to pay anything.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow. probably late morning, especially given all the wrestling i will be watching this evening.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are a wrestling fan, this is your Christmas weekend. enjoy the fuck out of it boys and girls. for everyone else, you have no clue what you are missing.

hurry up and wait and then wait some more...

i pride myself on getting to any appointment, either my own or my mother's, on time. that certainly was the case today. her appointment was at 1:45 and we were there at 1:40. we sat there until 2:15 when my mother's name finally got called. after the nurse took some notes and typed some things in the computer, we were told the doctor would be in shortly. it was damn near 3:30 before he came into the room. by this time, i think both of us were beyond pissed. and i really can't stand this doctor, even though he likes my facial hair. he has to stop my mother so he can dictate what she is saying. he obviously doesn't read any notes from the rehab facility as he believes other than not driving any longer, mom should be able to work. and then the fucker referred to me as her husband. thankfully, the next appointment at this office will be just with the nurse. what a fucking waste to the day.

my doctor's appointment yesterday went pretty well. it's obvious my doctor thinks with his dick as much as i do. both of the nurses that work for him are smoking hot. no wonder my blood pressure was up. my A1C was up a little (fucking Easter candy) but the doctor wasn't that concerned. he then wanted some blood drawn from me. oh joy. the nurse doing that looks almost exactly like this girl i had a crush on when i was in high school. i got those results this morning. everything looked normal except for one thing. apparently, i believe i still had some alcohol in my system. whoops. my next appointment is in July. they will be at the new offices when that happens. that should be interesting.

here is your poetry for this day in National Poetry Month:

NXT was really good last night.

the New York Yankees won 7-2 yesterday. Stanton, Judge and Sanchez all hit 2 run homers. Severino was awesome on the mound. they started a series at home with Baltimore tonight. of course, it started early so the game is going on as i'm writing this.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, the season finale of Will & Grace, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces, Gotham and Atlanta.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:
https://soundcloud.com/srwrestling/srw-180-dan-soder

the New York Rangers are playing tonight at the Islanders. the Rangers are up 1-0 after the first period in a game that neither team wants to win.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.

i do plan on sending out some poems in the morning. that will also require a trip to the post office. hopefully the fucking weather is decent tomorrow.

that's all for me kids.

with the threat of severe weather

there's this massive cold front that is supposed to come through here this evening. my bones have been feeling like shit for hours. fucking joy. and once the cold front comes through, there will be a chance for snow. Ohio, if you hate the weather, wait ten minutes and then fucking complain.

i wrote 10 poems last night and typed them up this afternoon. i really like all 10 of them. a few will be used in my next round of submissions, which should happen before the week is over.

i also heard from Moran Press today on my 5 poem collection. they are looking to set up a little publicity before it comes out, so i need to send a poem and a picture. i guess it's time to come out of the cave again. when i get more info or links to the project, i'll be sure to pass them along. hopefully, you will pass them along as well.

Smackdown was great last night. i was so happy for Tye Dillinger and Shinsuke Nakamura. they are both finally on a main roster. i guess the roster shakeup will really determine what direction both shows are going to go in.

205 Live was excellent last night as well. i love that they are continuing the feud between Austin Aries and Neville.

The Voice was good last night. i was a little surprised at who Blake used his steal on, but he's won the show enough to know better than i do.

the New York Yankees won their first game of the season last night, 5-0. they will go for the series win tonight down at that dump in Tampa.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Total Divas. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers play tonight on the road against Washington. the team is choosing rest over sharpness going into the playoffs, so i'm not expecting much out of these final games.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store. mom already started a damn scroll of things i need to get. oh joy.
