well, at least it finally stopped raining...

 thankfully, we didn't have much flooding around where i live. some of the fields had some standing water, but not as bad as i was thinking it was going to be. i'm sure we had a couple of inches of rain. i tried to outlast the thunderstorm last night, hoping i would sleep better. no luck there, as usual.

ok, let me get the shitty Manchester United game out of the way. they lost to City, 4-1. honestly, i thought when Sancho tied the game at 1, it was going to be a real good derby match. well, let's just say United showed absolutely no fucking heart, passion, or desire after City went up 2-1. honestly, i turned the second half off for most of it and just listened to music. my fear has always been that United, once Sir Alex left, would become one of those clubs where you could always think about the glory days but never get to fucking live them again. and fuck me, this is one where i desperately want to be wrong.

the New York Rangers won in Winnipeg last night, 4-1.

Last Week Tonight was excellent as usual.

Power Book IV: Force was really good last night.

both episodes of Shining Vale were pretty funny and maybe a little scary.

Billions was great last night.

Super Pumped: The Battle for UBER was really good last night.

i did write 2 poems today while mom was in physical therapy. i typed those up this afternoon. i think they are pretty good. i need to get another round of submissions ready for later this week.

of course, the check engine light came on today on the Highlander. so, i'm guessing most of my tomorrow is going to be about that bullshit.

i need to figure out what i'm making for dinner tonight.
