here's hoping the game will be better than the commercials...

all my bets are in for the Super Bowl. i am leaning towards the Chiefs winning a close one. i'm tired of losing money to Patrick Mahomes. hopefully i'll win a few bets and have good things to say tomorrow. of course, if Manchester United loses before the Super Bowl today, i won't be in a good mood regardless. they play at Aston Villa.

here are your videos for this day of Black History Month:

yet another day of rain...

this has been yet another fucking gloomy day and it just got a little more gloomy for me...

i thought The Voice was pretty good last night. Nick Jonas fits right in with the other coaches.

McMillion$ was excellent last night.

The New Pope was really good last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and WWE Backstage.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight at George Mason. they are 12 point favorites. i'm hoping this game will be a blowout.

the New York Rangers play tonight at the New York Islanders. this is a game the Rangers need to win if they want to make a push for the playoffs.

i guess some snow might be on the way for tomorrow. great.

i need to take a shower and get the trash picked up here and next door.

i should be on here tomorrow in the afternoon.

until then kids...

the fun part of cleaning...

i do love that my sister and her friend came over yesterday and cleaned. the fun part is going to be finding where the fuck everything is now.

my sister did go with me to the Dayton Flyers game yesterday. i think she was stunned with how the new arena looks. Dayton played a little better on defense than their first game. they still need to eliminate their own mistakes. Dayton defeated Charleston Southern 90-61. they play again at home on Tuesday.

Ohio State defeated Rutgers yesterday 56-21. the cupcake portion of their Big 10 schedule is now over. they play their final home game of the season next Saturday against Penn State.

the New York Rangers lost to the Florida Panthers yesterday, 4-3. i saw the highlights online. looks like the Rangers played a better game than they did in Tampa, but still need to stay the fuck out of the penalty box.

Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.

NJPW was really good last night.

ROH was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Batwoman, Ray Donovan, Shameless, Dublin Murders, Watchmen, Silicon Valley, Mrs. Fletcher and Last Week Tonight.

the New Orleans Saints play today at Tampa Bay. after the shit show last week, the Saints need to win today. and given the injuries they have, they will probably have to outscore Tampa Bay to do it.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after mom's physical therapy session. i think we have to go to a pharmacy after she's done to put in the order for her new walker. and then i should be home, at least in theory.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.

until tomorrow...

the rain and all the misery it brings...

it rained all night and most of today. and joy, there's probably another couple of inches coming. as i told my mother this afternoon, all we are missing in this house are the burnt spoons. it's scary that i think she is starting to get all my heroin references. this has been one of those days of pure fucking misery.

i've spent most of the afternoon talking to women from France. i figure it won't be long until i figure out most of them are Russian bots. good times.

i did do a little poetry work this afternoon as well. i know where my next batch of poems are going. more on that in the next few days.

the Dayton Flyers got whipped last night in Saint Louis, 73-60. Saint Louis had lost 4 games in a row coming into it. i think every Dayton fan knew this game was going to be a fist fight. apparently, the coaches and players didn't. Dayton got punked from the start to the finish. it was so damn bad at some points, i just stopped watching completely.

but i never did switch over to listen to that asshole speak for almost 90 minutes.

Smackdown was really good last night.

205 Live was pretty good last night as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Masked Singer, Drop the Mic and You're The Worst. i'll watch NXT and NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Boston. the Rangers made a minor trade today. i'm guessing it will be the first of many.

and then there's snow in April...

i woke up this morning to see a decent amount of snow in the grass. thankfully the pavement and sidewalks were still too warm for the snow to stick. and they are saying that by this time tomorrow, we'll be having thunderstorms. welcome to the fucking apocalypse.

here is your poetry for this day in National Poetry Month:

and a link for you as well:

saw my new favorite at the bank today. one of these days i will confess to Alexis just how beautiful she is.

the New York Yankees were humming right along yesterday, up 4-1 over Toronto. then the usually steady bullpen shit the bed and gave up two massive home runs over the next 2 innings to turn a sure victory into a defeat, 7-4. the Yankees were supposed to have their home opener today, but the snow nixed that. so, they are going to try tomorrow afternoon to have the opener against Tampa Bay.

i spent a good portion of yesterday going through my records, sending out queries to all the places i had submitted to over the last year or so that i haven't heard back from. i figure if i don't hear back from someone after this query, i'll simply try to send the poems somewhere else and never bother to submit to that place again. i sent out 8 queries and heard back from two of them within a hour of sending the email. this is the job of being a poet that i wish i was rich enough that i could have that little boy that Bukowski said wrote his poems keep track of this shit for me.

Our Cartoon President was hilarious last night. the season finale next week should be great.

Homeland was fucking crazy last night.

Billions was excellent last night.

Here and Now was great last night.

Barry was really good last night.

Silicon Valley was really funny last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as always.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and King in the Wilderness. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i might watch some of the national championship game tonight between Michigan and Villanova. hopefully it's as good as the women's national championship game yesterday.

i will probably be on here early tomorrow as mom has physical therapy in the afternoon. this is a pretty busy week as i have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and mom has one with a different doctor on Thursday. good times.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.
