a hot and humid happy birthday

today my mother turns 64. she looked a little puzzled at the card i gave her. it was a penguin saying all these positive things. she then looked inside and it was blank, except for what i wrote... don't worry, it all will be over soon. HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY i then gave her a Marvin The Martian Hot Wheels car and a deluxe edition of Sgt. Pepper's by the Beatles. i figured with her turning 64, that gift just made too much sense. she liked them both.

the frames i ordered from Hobby Lobby came today. thankfully, nothing was damaged like the horror stories i read on their website.

the New York Yankees are now inventing ways to lose games. they scored in every inning from the 6th on last night, and still managed to fucking lose 8-7 in 10 innings. and now the injuries are piling up. Adam Warren, Gary Sanchez and Aaron Hicks. just fucking great. hopefully they stop the damn losing streak tonight in Oakland.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

The Putin Interviews, Part 4 were pretty damn comical last night. i did howl when Putin more or less said Trump is stupid and will have to learn while on the job. and i love when he suddenly starts talking perfect english when he's talking to a woman.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW and Real Time with Bill Maher.

i went to the grocery store earlier this afternoon. it was probably too damn hot but, fuck it. as soon as i walked in, this unbelievably attractive woman walked past me and smiled. of course, i was headed to the pharmacy and she was going the opposite direction. i was really hoping to run into her while going around the store. of course, that never happened. i figure there's another poem. i got mom a small birthday cake and some other things she wanted. and amazingly, i got her the right pads this time. i made sure she wrote down as much info as i needed on the grocery list so i would get the ones she wanted this time. see women, a man that can follow directions. how you doin'?

i guess my sister is bringing pizza for dinner tonight. oh goody, pizza and cake. and only two toilets in the house. at least we know the code to get in next door. that might come in handy at some point.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i will try to be on here tomorrow before the cleaning ladies are here.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the joys of arthritis

i kind of figured it would go like this. i've had a good number of poems published in the last 12 hours or so. and i try to do my part and make sure to post them on the places i always post, help get the word out. but, my arthritis is such now that even typing is becoming a fucking nightmare. i feel like i have had 40 some years of trying to find the pleasure in the pain... and just when i need to the most, i won't be able to. if that doesn't sum up my existence on this earth, i don't know what does.

the New York Yankees scored 4 in the first inning last night. so, to see them lose 7-5 to the Angels made me a little fucking angry. one of those games where they couldn't get a big hit when they needed it and the third base coach made one of the worst decisions i have ever seen. i know Aaron Judge has pretty good speed for a man his size, but to send him from second when the outfielder has the ball before the runner even touches third base is inexcusable. fuck, i probably would have fired him on the spot, that's how damn bad it was. the Yankees will try to end their losing streak as they start a series out in Oakland tonight.

NXT was pretty good last night.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night, mostly because Pentagon Dark was back.

The Putin Interviews, Part 3 were pretty interesting last night. i got a good laugh at Putin explaining that he did nothing wrong in Ukraine and it was all Europe's and the USA's fault. it was also the first time i had seen inside The Kremlin in years. i think the only thing that had changed since Stalin was the paint. Part 4 should be interesting tonight. of course, i expect more creative bullshit answers.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend checking it out.

mom did pretty good today with the occupational therapist. i do like the fact she seems to be sleeping more. that actually gives me a chance to do some shit; like shave, shower, put the dishes away, etc.

there's a rumor my sister is coming down for the weekend. mom's birthday is tomorrow. i still have to figure out a damn card.

i guess i need to go figure out dinner. joy.

more rain, oh joy...

this has been a day full of gloom. more thunderstorms and plenty of fucking rain. i just checked the rain gauge and it was at 2.4 inches. that was just from this morning to about 3 this afternoon.

the New York Yankees lost last night, 3-2 in 11 innings. worse, CC injured his hamstring and will probably have to go on the disabled list. now, the Yankees have plenty of options to replace him, but i don't think any of them are pitching as well as he was. hopefully the Yankees win the series tonight against the Angels.

The Jim Jefferies Show was fucking hilarious last night.

Deadliest Catch was very good last night.

The Putin Interviews, Part 2 were good last night. i did get a chuckle with the shit eating grin on Putin's face when he told Oliver Stone that Russia doesn't mettle in domestic affairs in other countries.

Smackdown was very good last night. i can't wait for this Sunday and all the possibilities of what could happen at Money in the Bank.

205 Live was very good as well last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Lucha Underground and The Putin Interviews, Part 3. i'll watch NXT on WWE Network sometime tonight.

when i saw there was a shooting in Alexandria, Virginia today, i jumped on the computer as quick as i could. that is where one of the loves of my life lives. i love how none of the media pointed out this was a white person who did this today. now, i do find some humor in a gun toting liberal targeting Republicans. i wonder if anyone wants to talk about gun control now?

mom's getting closer to getting released from home healthcare. i believe that is when her physical therapy will really kick up. and since she doesn't drive anymore, i will get to play chauffeur once again.

i guess my aunt didn't do so great in surgery yesterday and they had to go back in to do more today. i started wondering this afternoon which assholes are going to be living next to us when she sells that house. i know if it isn't family, i'll probably have to go buy a lawnmower. there's something i was hoping to avoid for the rest of my life.

that's all for me today kids. i either am going to go nap on my bed or try to find the pleasure in the pain and go do the fucking dishes.

the air you can wear

i went outside this morning to get the paper and it felt i was walking through a wall of humidity and heat. these are the days where i wish i would actually have a metabolism that worked. and of course, mom complained about the house being too cold last night... right as i was doing laundry and washing the dishes. good times.

the New York Yankees finished off the sweep of Baltimore yesterday, winning 14-3. they outscored the Orioles 38-8 in the series. this was the first time the Yankees have scored 8 or more runs in 5 straight games since 1956. Aaron Judge hit two more home runs yesterday, the first one being one of the longest home runs i have seen hit in the new Yankee Stadium. 495 feet. holy shit. the Yankees will go for their 6th win in a row tonight out in California against the Angels.

i was very interested to see how the men's national team was going to play last night against Mexico, especially since Bruce Arena was making 7 changes. when Michael Bradley scored a holy shit goal just 6 minutes in, i started dreaming of a victory. of course, Mexico evened the score 20 minutes later. i think the USA did enough to earn the point last night in the 1-1 draw. they have certainly played worse than that in that stadium before. all in all, to get 4 points in 2 games is about as well as they could have done. they raised their odds of qualifying for the next World Cup, and that's all that matters.

Silicon Valley was great last night.

Veep was very fucking funny last night.

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always.

Twin Peaks: The Return was another glorious mindfuck last night.

I'm Dying Up Here was pretty good last night.

i did a little poetry work today. i believe i know where the next round of submissions are going to go.
that will most likely happen either tomorrow or Wednesday.
