trying to sleep through a thunderstorm...

we had some pretty strong storms come through here last night. i know i didn't sleep well. when i woke up, the comforter was on the floor and the body pillow i have at the top of my bed was behind my back. the joy of tossing and turning all night.

the Yankees lost last night at Baltimore, 1-0. yet another Gerrit Cole outing wasted. hopefully, they will win tonight.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was pretty good last night as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Collision.

i will probably watch some of the Leagues Cup tonight and maybe some of the UFC as well.

i've got the first line to my next poem stuck in my head. hopefully, i will be able to flush that out sometime today.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

until tomorrow kids...

another cloudy day...

so, i finished clearing off the driveway today. i was smart about it at least. i went as far as my back would allow. now, if i was younger, i would have done it all yesterday. but, i know i'm not younger, so at least it got done.

ok, let me start off from where i left this blog yesterday.

Manchester United won yesterday at Nottingham Forest, 3-0. they basically are one more win away from actually playing for the League Cup trophy.

that was about where my joy ended yesterday.

the Dayton Flyers lost at Rhode Island, 75-70. once again, the dip in form that always comes in an Anthony Grant coached team (except for one damn season) is now back again.

the New York Rangers lost at Toronto in OT, 3-2. gave up another third period lead.

the USMNT lost to Serbia last night, 2-1, in a friendly. it was good to see some new faces playing. i'm just wondering who they are going to hire to be the coach.

AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.

Name That Tune was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and NJPW.

the New York Knicks play tonight at Boston.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

i did get my other order from Fanatics today. i got some New Orleans Saints football cards. i did get a few nice rookies in it, so that was cool.

i need to vacuum the house sometime tonight and make dinner. i would have loved to do that earlier but mom took a 3 hour nap this afternoon. i didn't want to be the asshole to wake her up.

i know i need to go to Rite Aid tomorrow to pick up a prescription. i should be on here after that, weather permitting.

until tomorrow kids...

insert something witty here...

as you can see, i have no fucking title for the blog today, so the smart ass that resides in my brain won out. i have spent most of today in pain. fun times.

on to better news, the Dayton Flyers defeated Belmont yesterday, 63-61, to win that tournament down in Orlando. it's the first one they have won in a decade i believe. i really hope this is the galvanizing point of the season where they take off from here and be great. one thing that is really obvious, they are a much better team when Malachi Smith is on the floor. the offense flows so much better when he's running the show. he won the MVP of the tournament.

i did watch some of the NFL games yesterday. i watched some of both MLS games yesterday as well. and i got all of my laundry done.

Succession was great last night.

Insecure was very good last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was hilarious last night.

VICE was excellent last night.

Dexter: New Blood was fucking great last night.

Yellowjackets was good and creepy last night.

Power Book II: Ghost was very good last night.

Hightown was good last night.

Manchester United got a 1-1 draw yesterday against Chelsea. they finally announced the new interim coach. hopefully, he can get his visa shit done before they play Arsenal on Thursday.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Monday Night Raw and That's My Jam.

i did listen to episode 371 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

i have a list of poems i want to record for SoundCloud. my goal is to get all of that done and out before Christmas. and i need to get all my Christmas cards out here soon.

i am going to try to be on here tomorrow in the morning. mom has physical therapy in the afternoon and i have no clue how long that is going to go. so, i think the morning is my best bet.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. i hope you got some great deals if you went shopping. and i hope the latest strain of COVID isn't fucking up your plans.

imagine a day full of rain and the pain puts you to sleep...

not to mention, the internet keeps going in and out and your lower back is waving the white flag. fuck, i hate days like these...

the Yankees lost to the Marlins yesterday, 5-0. thanks to Baltimore beating the Blue Jays, the Yankees got the 5th seed in the playoffs instead of the 8th seed. so, they now have to play at Cleveland in the first round. given the Indians pitching and the Yankees offense only showing up when they want to, i can't imagine the Yankees winning this series.

here are your highlights from the NBA last night. i am really looking forward to the NBA Finals...

the Saints lost last night to the Packers, 37-30. too many damn penalties on the defense and Taysom Hill had a huge fumble that basically cost them the game.

Big Brother was pretty good last night.

Power Book II: Ghost was really good last night.

Lovecraft Country was fucking awesome last night.

The Vow was excellent last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

Our Cartoon President was hilarious last night.

Desus & Mero was great last night.

WWE Clash of Champions was really, really good last night. between the crazy triple threat ladder match, to the McIntyre vs. Orton match, to Roman Reigns more or less becoming the best heel in wrestling at the moment, this was so much better than i was expecting.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Axios, The Third Day and We Are Who We Are. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i will probably watch some of the NHL tonight.

i did listen to episode 310 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

i have to take the Highlander to the dealership tomorrow morning to get it serviced. time for an oil change, etc. mom made the appointment for 10:30 in the morning. i just hope i am up and actually awake by then. i should be on here after i get back from that.

i hope everyone had a great weekend, or at least better than mine.
